A traditional Vietnamese Broken Rice staple in the Vietnamese Community in San Jose. Great atmosphere and the staff are all so nice. They have plenty of seating indoors and outdoor, but still gets crazy busy. We stopped by on a weekend afternoon and waited about 30 minutes for a table of 2. Interior was nice, clean, and spacious. Cha Gio (Fried Egg Roll) - 3.5/5 Definitely on the smaller side, but I was surprised by how flavorful the eggroll was. The meat inside was delicious, and fried well. 70. Special Rice Bombo with BBQ Pork, Fried Shrimp Cake, Shredded Pork Skin, Egg Meatloaf, Grilled Shrimp on Sugarcane w/ Rice Easy 5/5 Huge portion with amazing quality on each component of the dish. Pork was grilled amazingly, savory and slightly sweet. Meatloaf was nice and juicy, with great texture to it. The Shredded pork skin added a great texture to every bite, with a slightly different savory taste. The grilled shrimp was good too, on the sweeter side because it was grilled on a sugarcane. And the fried shrimp cake was super crispy with a juicy shrimp patty inside. It was all brought together with their fish sauce which I can just eat plain white rice with. This is good enough to wait 30-45 minutes for, in my opinion, since I am a big rice plate type of guy. 77. House Special Rotisserie Chicken w/ Tomato Rice4/5 Great portion as usual, the rotisserie chicken was cooked very well, with some charred skin. Some pieces were a bit on the dryer side, but it came with dark sweet tangy sauce. The tomato rice actually did have some tomato flavor to it so we were happy about that. Really great vietnamese broken rice restaurant, probably my favorite around the area. We also ended the meal off white pandan waffle wheel cakes. Really great pandan and coconut flavor, crispy and soft inside. Would definitely come back again with more friends!

For my first time trying Com Tam in the Bay Area, it wasn't half bad! The food is delicious and the portions are decent as well. While the service and ambiance is what you would expect at a typical Vietnamese restaurant, the food makes up for it. Forget about service if you're coming to a Viet restaurant, enjoy your food and dip!

The number 1 go to order is numero 34 ~ BBQ Pork + Fried Shrimp Cake Rice Plate, add a fried egg if you're trying to feast. Thank me later.I've been going here for quite a while with friends and family, the place never ceases to fail and always hits the spot when I'm craving com tam. It's sad to see all their other locations close recently, but I'm glad this location is consistently getting business each visit.

Vermicelli bowl with pork and shrimp 5/5 - I loved this dish! Portion size was also huge and very filling. The shrimps are grilled so it has a nice char flavor. Not many pieces of shrimp but still good. Pork was also grilled and taste was good. We came on a Friday night for dinner and waited 15 mins to get seated.

I came here with some family friends who said this was their go-to in the sprawling plaza of Vietnamese restaurants. They're pretty big foodies, so I absolutely would trust their opinion.I ordered #71, which had pork chop. The pork chop is absolutely delicious -- it's sweet and salty and the texture is perfectly tender and delightful. The pickled caroot and daikon are also just the right amount of sweet and sour. The portion is insane though; I literally split it into three meals. The pho is also good but I prefer my pho to be a little bit on the sweeter side. Portions are also very large.

This is an excellent spot for Vietnamese food located in Little Saigon. I've never been disappointed coming here, everything I've had so far has been fantastic. Additionally, the portion sizes are very generous and the prices are reasonable. The rice plates are packed with flavor and variety, and the pho is also very solid for the price. The only downside is that they close too early, sometimes there is still a line right before closing time. I highly recommend coming here, especially for the com tam dishes.

Our group of 5 came on a Friday around lunch, and it was pretty busy! We waited about 10min to get a table in the outside patio area. While we were eating, the line got even longer too! I got the #5 pho, and it was delicious and a great price at $13. The broth was very nice, and we had the option of thin or thick noodles. I got the thick noodles, and they were able nice texture. The meat was pretty generous too. My mom's favorite is the noodle bowls. I tried some of her #84 grilled pork and it was so good! The service is very quick, we got our pho in 5-10min. The only thing that took a little more time was the rice plates. Another nice thing is that they let you order coffee from the Vietnamese coffee place next door. I got the white almond coffee which was a good amount of sweetness and pretty strong! They have a large menu to choose from.

We came into Com Tam Thien Huong after a recommendation from a friend. This location is in one of the Little Saigon giant plaza's -- filled with wide variety of Vietnamese eateries. The interior of the restaurant is clean and modern -- seems that they also have a partnership with a boba/coffee chain as well.We got 2 orders of #71: a special rice combination with bbq pork chop, fried shrimp cake, shredded pork skin, egg cake, and grilled shrimp on sugarcane with rice. Portions were huge and we absolutely loved each part of the dish! Everything was super delicious and went well together. Make sure to pour the fish sauce to get that extra umami flavor. Service was kind and fast too. You can pay with card, but bring cash to save 4%. Will definitely be back to grab some more com tam!
