Took my Gbaby to the museum and had a ball! There's a lot to see and do! The Lego room was very fun. The gear display, fossil discovery, the life sized mammoth skeleton, the ambulance, firetruck, wagon coach, water display, building blocks, outdoor activities, dance room, and so much more. Good for ages 4-10. In this day and age, it's heartwarming seeing children playing together w/o any biases or prejudice. We should learn from them.

I'll start off by saying they don't usually allow strollers inside unless your kid can't walk. Looked like an employee was outside watching the strollers when we got there but tbh I can't recall if I saw the person there when we left. I certainly hope our strollers are being watched if they don't allow them inside. Be ready to lug around what you need. Slight annoyance for me. The cafe sold a couple of sandwich/wrap and pastry items, but there's two vending machines right outside the cafe that I wish I saw sooner because they had a lot of "healthy" options in them. This place seems more geared toward toddler and slightly older age. Nice outside playground with 3 slides, bridges, rock digging area, bubbles, and benches at which you can snack. Inside downstairs has things like water play, blocks, play kitchen (tho limited/missing props to use), and an ambulance and fire truck for them to climb on. I enjoyed upstairs better. It had an art room (this Sundays theme was legos) and a toddler room with train sets, sand, and a story time area.

I had always wanted to check this place out and I finally had a chance to do so over this winter break! Purchased our tickets online and the checkout process was easy! We did go when they had extended hours so we opted to go later in the day as we felt that was our best bet for the museum being less crowded and our gut feeling worked out to our advantage. Parking in the area was easy and plentiful and the line to get in was efficient and quick.Once we were inside, my son was instantly excited and ran towards the big fire truck display! This place has so many hands on exhibits and stations that were perfect for my young son. Buttons to press, levers to pull, knobs to turn, and so much more! My son gravitated to the ambulance truck and the food play area. The water play area was great! Highly recommend you bring a second set of clothes for your child if you do let them run wild in the water play area because they will get wet! It was also a score for my kid since he was wearing his rainboots, so his socks and feet stayed dry while in that area. This place was very entertaining for my little one and kept him busy for 2.5 hours and maybe even more if it wasn't for closing time!I would definitely say this is a great place to bring your child to explore and play and have a great time just being a kid! We will be back for sure!

I used to come here often with my son, but our last visit was disappointing. A lot of things were in disrepair compared to our previous visits and they no longer provide smocks in the water play area. When we went upstairs to our favorite section, we were told we could not go in since they changed the age limit to 4 and under. We went during the week and it was empty, so we tried to go inside, but the employee told us we were not allowed. When we came when my son was younger, kids of all ages were allowed to play there. If your child is over 4, the ticket prices should be discounted since we don't have access to the entire museum. We will not be coming back.

The first and last time I ever visited the Children's Discovery Museum was thanks to one of my elementary school fieldtrips. While I won't bore you with the details, nor will I openly embarrass myself, this visit was many many many many moons ago. Lol. Not being able to remember too many details, I knew I wanted to make a return visit and allow my daughter to explore what CDM has to offer. Parking was a little tricky for us but I'll openly admit that I avoid the downtown area at all costs. Using Yelp's directions, it brought us to the front of the museum but a good chunk of the area was blocked off due to having some work being done. We eventually found a structure and simply walked our way over instead. We came right at the perfect time because Storytime was set to start within 10 mins or so. If you are contemplating on whether or not you would like to take part, lemme you save you the time.... DO IT!!! My 4 year old had the most amazing time listening to The Monster at the End of This Book: Starring Lovable, Furry Old GROVER. The staffer was great at interacting with the kids and made sure to incorporated them into so many parts of Storytime. She laughed, she sang, she wiggled, and she absolutely didn't want to leave!!! Some additional highlights for my toddler were the Hello from Japan exhibit, fun at the Rainbow Market, and WaterWays. Please be advised that the wet aspect at WaterWays is too real. I witnessed one kid slip on the wet floors and my child walked away completely drenched. A quick change of clothes would be a good idea or some outdoor fun in the sun will do the trick. I'd most definitely come back. Hopefully this time around we'll be able to cover more ground and explore areas we didn't get a chance to.

Great experience - from buying tickets online to enjoyment of the many (150!) exhibits - inside and outside. The day we sent there were volunteers helping children build catapults. What was nice is the group of volunteers were young people (high school age?) and they were patient and interacted well either our 4 and 6 year old grandchildren.

We decided to check this out with some friends on a weekend and let me tell you it was super packed! Lots of people so if you can make it on a weekday, I would suggest that. My son is 21 months old and there were plenty of interactive things for him to do. We enjoyed checking out everything they offered. Both levels had plenty of activities to keep the littles busy. The day does become pretty pricey with the cost of tickets and parking. If you have a stroller, I would leave it behind. They make you leave it in a room up front anyways so better to just ditch it altogether. Overall, we had a great time. We'd love to come back, probably on a weekday next time.

In case something goes sideways...you will not be able to exit in an emergency manner. But please make your way towards a dangerous situation to exit. Makes sense. Other than that, place is good for kids enjoyment and experience.Update: of the three emergency exit gates and one major gate for vehicles to enter/exit - only one emergency exit gate is not chained.

If you have really young kids this is an amazing place. Not so much for the older kids. A lot of hands on stuff from science to dinosaurs. The outside garden area is really cool. It's great because the parents or grandparents can sit and rest while the kids run around and climb through trees.
