If you've been looking for authentic Chinese food, I think there's DUMPLING you should definitely check out, and that's Chefus!As someone who grew up eating a lot of traditional Taiwanese and Chinese food, I've become pretty picky when it comes to authentic Chinese cuisine. I seriously mean it when I say I was SOUPer impressed with Chefus , a Bay Area based Chinese food delivery service- not only was everything packaged beautifully and neatly, but every dish was surprisingly authentic, fresh and delicious, all at a very affordable price point!Sichuan cold noodle ($7.95)- Definitely a very refreshing dish! The noodles were very fresh and chewy, and I really liked the touch of fresh cucumbers, hot oil, and garlic soy sauce!Frozen pork with leek dumplings ($27.95)- such an insane bang for your buck, with each dumpling priced at about 50 cents! The pork was sooo fresh and tender, and didn't have any hint of bone or cartridge (which is really common in most frozen dumplings). Definitely one of my family's favorite dishes of the night, and highly recommend if your family also stocks up on frozen dumplings! (As someone who can make their own dumplings from scratch + am a self proclaimed dumpling snob, these are definitely a MUST GET)Spicy Sichuan Wonton ($8.95)- loved the slightly tongue-numbing heat (which means that it's probably hot for most people lol) of these wontons! Personally also really liked how tender and fresh the wonton skin and fillings were!Steamed bun with red bean paste ($3.95)- Such a good deal for the amount you get! Plus, the buns come in the shape of the cutest porcupines and taste really amazing as well!

Had a solid experience with Chefus. Please note that the delivery window was between 11am-1pm so it can be difficult to coordinate when the meal starts. They also only let you know a now specific ETA the day of. The combo meal was tasty. We enjoyed the city chicken and the fish in tomato sauce a lot. Affordable too. Will be using this service again in the future.

Best if your order and live in the suburbs. Food options are generally good. Website isn't very secure (I think they've been hacked once, and support and delivery people have their personal phone numbers exposed). I like most of the food but customer support is lacking and it is definitely a small operation - i was told I'd get a delivery issue refunded. then they didn't do anything. I had to callthem and went through days to get ultimately a credit and had to also get back the driver tip. Evaluate them versus Shef or Weee

Chefus is a really great site with a rotating menu, ranging from bento boxes, set menus with 3 items, desserts (Lady M!), groceries, dumplings, etc. ! I never would have known about Chefus if it was not for a Yelp Elite Event and they deliver in the South Bay for a free or relatively small fee. They will also text you with tracking information.I love carbs so I opted for the pork fried rice, spicy noodles with minced pork, and wide rice noodles with beef. I was super surprised how much they pack into these portions for such a low price. The pork fried rice is plentiful for $6, and really tasty. The beef chow fun is standard. The spicy noodles with minced pork is enough for 2 people, and though it was really tasty, the site says it is mild. For someone who has some sort of spice tolerance, my mouth and lips were left numb. My mom who has a much higher spice tolerance said halfway through her tongue was numb! My stomach also didn't agree with the spiciness, but if you can, I would recommend this! Peanuts, green onions, minced pork, super great dish.I think I would try their frozen dumplings next time and their bento boxes.Highly recommend if you are wanting a family dinner with high quality and quantity food!

From ordering the food all the way to eating the food at home, every step of this process was excellent! You get a variety of amazing food delivered to your door without having to pay a bunch of additional fees like other delivery services.Ordering: Simply select the date and meal (lunch or dinner) to see the menu. There's great images for all the items and it indicates which chef is making this order. They also have snacks, desserts, and grocery items from other vendors. There is a cut-off time for each meal so be wary of that. Overall the website was extremely easy and user-friendly.Preparation/Delivery: I received a confirmation text of my order and you can also request on the website for them to email you a receipt. I received another text to notify me that my food was out for delivery. It also included a link for me to get real-time updates on ETA, track where my order is on a map, and how many stops away it is from me. Finally, I received one more text confirming the food arrived.Food: I ordered the following --Crispy Chicken Thighs: AMAZING! Super crispy skin and incredibly juicy meat. Very flavorful and surprisingly not oily. The portion was also pretty large!50 pcs Frozen Dumplings Stuffed with Minced Pork and Chinese Cabbage: The meat filling was incredibly flavorful and the dumpling wrap was perfect -- not too thick nor thing. Very easy meal for a lazy night. Only need to boil a pot of water and throw in the dumplings.Lady M Matcha Cake: pretty cool that they have different vendors on here too. Lady M cakes are always great! VERY strong matcha flavor for all you matcha-lovers!Great food, highly affordable. Will definitely try other items on their menu!

We initially were introduced to Chefus through a Yelp event and that eventually led us to placing more orders because we had families visiting & unfortunately it's not as convenient dining out in large group as before anymore.I like that Chefus provides a lot of options/categories, but "many options" can always be both good/bad...especially when the things you wanted are on different days, LOL! Most of the food items we've tried were really good & the serving size is reasonable. Definitely have this place on my mind for when we want authentic Asian food delivered!

:( I got to try this place through the Yelp event and I'm sad to say but it was so disappointing. We weren't able to order the things we saw a couple days ago (lobster, egg tarts, shrimp) so we settled for a bento box and two orders of scallion pancakes. We ordered: - Roast Meat Bento: The rice was so mushy, Char Siu is mediocre, veggies are good as well. 2/5 Stars - Scallion Pancakes: Mushy. Very large compared to other places. I thought it would come in 2's so I placed two orders. But it was one huge sheet... taste frozen :(((. 1/5 Stars The driver was very friendly. I just don't like how you have to place an order a day ahead of time and you can't choose the time you'd like it by. Our estimated time was 11am-1pm and we got it at 11:30. I wouldn't get it again if it wasn't for the promo but maybe that's just me?Pros: + delivery fee $2.99 or free delivery for purchases over $50Cons: + changing menus + random delivery times + order day in advance

Overall: 3.7/5I got a $25 coupon through the Yelp Elite week and put in my order the night before for Valentine's Day dinner and was expecting my food to be delivered between 5-7 PM. My food arrived early at 4:30 PM which cut my plans short a bit, and I was still full from lunch at that time. They provide you text and email updates of the delivery status which was nice. Their menu changes every day for lunch & dinner too.Steamed Lobster with Garlic Vermicelli ($26.95): The lobster is small compared to the picture but good. The vermicelli & lobster are lightly seasoned with garlic with no overpowering tastes. There wasn't a single flavor though that really made this dish stand out. Saigon Rice Noodle with BBQ Pork ($6.25): This was okay, but I like the concept.Saigon Portuguese Tart ($6.26): These were really good & came in a set of 3.Newark Saigon Baked Buns ($5.50): These were the best and highly recommended! Also comes in a set of 3.Saigon Shrimp With Pork Shui Mai (5.75): Nothing special, and comes in a set of 4.

I had a chance to try Chefus on Yelp Elite week. Chefus is a delivery service featuring a wide array of Asian restaurants, dishes, and desserts. It's a great way to learn about the culture through small bites, big meals, and sweet treats.I had egg tarts, a milk tea, a char siu bento box with seasoned egg, and some thousand egg porridge. (Not pictured below)The folks running the Chefus customer service were so sweet and creating a guaranteed great experience overall. The driver was also on time, delivered the food with care in great and safe packaging. I would highly recommend trying out this delivery service if you're craving some Chinese takeout or want to try some local Asian restaurants in your area.

An unscrupulous store. The lunch bento on 6/1/2024 tasted sour, which means the food was stale and rotten. I guess this store may have used the leftover lunch box from the day before yesterday or prepared it last night. This may be what I asked for. There is a big difference in freshness, so I don't ask the store for anything. I just wrote that I had diarrhea after eating the bento and the food smelled sour.
