Im only rating our experience for their event room. We booked this place for grandma's funeral.At the beginning I think they got very overwhelmed and didn't expect everyone to come at the same time.Food was really good and fresh. We had chowmein, orange chicken, crab wonton or rangoon and some veggies with meat.My favorite was the honey walnut shrimp. It was amazing. It wasn't saucy at all it was a perfect mix of and just enough sauce.My only thing is, idk if they put so much ice on the drinks but they get the liter sodas pour it in a pitcher with ice by the time we get it, it is so watered down that it taste like nothing at that point. I do think they should stick with the soda machines. I know this is quicker but the quality definitely suffered on this.Their event room was really nice and fancy. White linen, nice utensils and very clean.Kudos to the owner, he was amazing and handled our event amazingly.

I needed a comfort meal for a cold day so I ordered Chef's Experience off Uber Eats after wanting to try them for years since the front stands out over in downtown Hayward. The main reason I went with them was because I really wanted a hot and sour soup and theirs was the only one that was a decent price to order as a side so I could order lots of other dishes as well! The hot and sour soup hit the spot for that craving. I also got the XLB (they were ok, kinda on the small side), Lemon chicken (also ok-I do like that they put the lemon sauce on the side so the chicken doesn't get so soggy), fried rice was good, chicken chow mein was perfect, and crispy shrimp dumplings (basically shrimp in wonton wrappers) was indeed crispy. I do like that the meal overall didn't taste overly greasy or salty-sometimes I didn't feel super bloated after this meal as I sometimes do after chinese food lol.

We have been coming here for years but will not be returning. The server Jesus is extremely rude and has an attitude problem. The last time we came we waited 30min just for someone to come and serve us and when we did, Jesus yelled at us saying he's too busy, and then the owner came in and said they're too busy, if we want you can leave. He has always given us bad service, so we usually try to ask for someone else to serve us, because he very obviously treats us differently than the other customers. We left after that and thought we would come back and give them another chance in case it was an off day, and hope we didn't get served by Jesus again. That was not an off day, and we got the same server Jesus and he barely served us, however the busboy did a great job. At the end of the meal Jesus approached us and started saying that the owner had told us we were not allowed to come back. This was inappropriate and absolutely unreasonable behavior. He also made faces at us and started telling the other staff and customers that "he's the boss" and that we were the problem. This is inappropriate behavior and alarming since there weren't any issues. It also did not make sense why he would bring this up at the end of our meal, right before we left? It just felt like he was trying to mock us or start something. There were other staff we spoke to, an Asian woman and man at the front. The older man apologized for his colleague's behavior and was sorry about the way we were treated, but the woman was not helpful and tried to make it seem like we were the problem, pretty much going off of what Jesus said. It honestly felt like they were racially profiling us treating us badly because of the way we looked. The food is fine, and happy hour is decent. However the place has gone downhill, and the bathrooms were filthy. I also saw they had a recent health code violation, which only adds to the reasons not to come back here.

So good. Came in because I saw they had bar seating and I needed somewhere to eat dinner solo for the night. Really cool staff. Bartender was super friendly and made sure I was taken care of. They're a little pricey, but the quality and ambiance come with the price. I tried the Malaysian Fried rice. So good. Had a different kick to it. Had more of a coconut umami taste to it. They also had dim sum all day. So I ordered the xiaolongbao; man it hit the craving I had. Overall, this is a place to take a date or chill with family. Loved the experience

Planned a buffet lunch event (Red Egg & Ginger Chinese tradition for a baby welcome). It was easy to make arrangements with Bella & Eddie to reserve the banquet room for 90+ . Requested Menu A . The dishes exceeded my expectation in freshness, taste & variety. Two servers ( Jesse & Maya(?) were top notch throughout attending to the tables and buffet trays and refreshing the items under the heat lamps. The room was spacious & private with a counter to set up a display, and to put gifts.

We are regulars here! I love the food here. I also love how quick the food is brought out to us. My ultimate favorite so far is the Mango Shrimp! It's sweet and spicy and they give you big chunks of mango with a basil sauce. I always order this. The ambiance is very chill. The restaurant is a little outdated but the food is great! We always come here to celebrate birthdays or milestones. Great place to have in Hayward!

Took a chance with this place from a recommendation. Our server was very friendly and a delight, she was very knowledgeable and kind. As for the food I went with one of the "chef favorites" the chicken and shrimp wok plate and the lady had the Singapore noodles. Both lacked flavor and were very bland. We were both dosing all of our food even the appetizers with the chili sauce and soy sauce. I felt like I paid a premium on Panda Express just to sit down lol it was very disappointing I do not see myself coming back or giving them a 2nd try.The pricing was okay but can't get over how bland everything was. This should be a 2 star but our server was super nice. Also Bathrooms were pretty dirty.
