All Hail the ChefOne of those longstanding neighborhood restaurants that's been in business for over twenty years. They don't do anything fancy, just your typically Chinese-American cuisine, but they do it well and with a smile. The Good:*Friendly service by the owner(?).*Love the décor and ambiance. *They also double as a flower shop! They have a huge selection of orchids at stellar prices. *Chow Mein noodles were most likely not housemade, but a very good quality nood. *They have bottled beer*Molto generoso with the hot mustard and sweet and sour sauce. *Mongolian beef was very tender and tasty but hardly spicy. In fact both, the same chicken and Mongolian beef were supposed to be spicy but neither really were. *Lunch specials are less than $20 and come with main, rice (upgradable to chow mein), eggroll, and soup. The Meh:*I thought the Hot & Sour soup was fine by my son and Carissa did not. It's kind of a decisive soup because of the texture, so maybe not the best thing to serve as part of the meal? Wonton soup would be a much better choice, cuz who doesn't love dumplings??*Sesame Chicken was overcooked and tough. Carissa wasn't a fan but my son gobbled it up, so go figure? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯The Ugly:*Large shared lot but I'm not a fan of it. It can get busy and the design isn't the worst but it's not great. Conclusion: 3.5* solid American-Chinese joint with a 1/2* bump for longevity and service.

If I can give zero stars, I would if I could give five stars for being bad I would I can't begin to tell you how rude the gentleman was just now we walked in. He sat us down gave me a menu. I said we're ready to order he started yelling at us and telling us that all you #%#% do this Very racist. I don't know what we did wrong. He asked me to order and then began to give me an attitude. Definitely never coming back again And it's a shame!!!!Ps it was empty and no reason for him to be mad but I am very understanding. People have bad days but the racism I have no room for we left and my kids almost cried because of the way he treated us...I went back in to talk to him to ask why he did this to us because I am a long time customer and his response was even more racist!I gave him a chance to apologize and fix it but he made it worstSo sad

So a friend recommended this place I ordered the beef chow main along with the egg rolls Now it was expensive like 30.00 but you get a decent amount of beef chow main and four egg rolls not three my wife and I enjoyed the food I'm not going to lie I'm still looking for a new Chinese restaurant that serves great egg rolls not just egg rolls that are ok and some day I hope to find a place like the old tea garden restaurant on blossom hill not the one that is there now but chef Li will do in a pinch so give them a try

Not sure why I haven't reviewed this place but we've come for years. We move shortly after pandemic and have not been back until yesterday. While the place looks like got a remodeling inside(didn't need it), the food remains delicious and consistent with service.

An absolutely monolith of the Cambrian community that's been around for decades. When you're craving Chinese, but with a modern, clean taste, Chef Li is the go-to for many locals in the area. The dinner set menus are always a great deal, featuring apps, soup, and 1-2 main dishes. Service is consistently strong and the staff have been around as long as the restaurant itself in some cases! The interior has a bright and vibrant feel with plenty of (fake?) orchids around.

I have been by this spot many times and was eager to try it. The inside is beautiful with flowers (for sale) everywhere. The gentleman at the front was super nice. The food however was disappointing. The orange chicken was stringy and chewy and I ended up spitting out most of it.

My mom chose Chef Li for her birthday dinner and the staff and owner so kind! And they gave my mom a Chocolate bear. They put effort into their presentation.I recommend ordering egg foo young (off menu) and choose chicken as your protein. The chicken was still moist and tender (unlike some places).

Amazing experience again. Love this Chinese restaurant. We had Mongolian beef, kung pou chicken, pork fried rice, hot sour soup, egg rolls and tea. Service was lovely with great friends. The restaurant was newly remodeled and looks great with signature orchids.

Our go to for Chinese food! Very consistent and love the atmosphere with all the beautiful orchids. Been going here since the late 90's and will continue to order here for our fix for Chinese food!

I had heard many good things about this restaurant, so we were excited to go there for Lunch. However, although the Owner was very friendly the guy who setved us was not. He asked whether we wanted Rice or Chow Mein, so I ordered Chow Mein. I was very surprised when I saw the bill that I was charged extra for the Chow Mein. I feel that the Waiter should have told me that I would be charged extra for the Chow Mein. Lastly, I only ate half my meal of Moo Shoo Pork, so I asked for a box and extra pancakes. I only received one pancake when I clearly had enough leftovers for two. So unfortunately a disappointing experience.
