Welp, we're back into the cold, fluffy season again....where some people DGAF about spreading their cooties. If you're looking for something warm and soulful while boosting your immune system: Kadhi Kachori!A specialty at Chatpata India, Kadhi Kachori ($11.99) is North Indian Street Food of curry with a fried fritter: https://tinyurl.com/te656uwnThe turmeric-rich, yogurt-based curry is served piping hot with a large lentil fritter sliced into triangular pieces. A fantastic balance of bold tangy flavors and crispy-soft textures with the raw diced onions giving a sweet sharpness. My only gripe is I requested it to be spicy but it was more mild-medium spicy. Maybe they thought we couldn't handle the heat so requesting desi spicy next time. Equally delicious is their Dahi Sev Puri w/ potatoes, tamarind + mint cilantro chutney, yogurt, sev (8 pc - $7.99): https://tinyurl.com/2rvnu4k3The crunchy shell (semolina-based) is filled with spiced potatoes, topped with myriad of sauces, crunchy sev (fried chickpea noodles), and something tart...reminiscent of pomegranate seeds. Great contrasting textures and punchy flavors from the chutneys. Overall, Kadhi Kachori is not the easiest thing to find so Chatpata India is def worth a visit you're in the area!O T H E R I N F O* Chatpata India is food truck serving an array of vegetarian Indian food: chaats, curries, hot entrees (chana bhatura, poori chana, etc), naan, and rice. * Spice levels can be customized. * Takeout, delivery, and outdoor seating available (4 tables under a canopy). * Friendly owner and staff with prompt food service.* Plenty of parking in the plaza.

We drove to Chatpata India to pick up our Doordash order, excited to try their Alu Tikki Chole and Dahi Papdi Chaat. Unfortunately, the dishes fell short of our expectations. The Alu Tikki Chole was completely overfilled with chole, but lacked the main component - the tikki! There was hardly any tikki, and the onions and radish on top were scarce and lacked flavor. The Dahi Papdi Chaat was also a letdown. Despite requesting it to be khatti meethi (sweet and sour), the meethi chutney was provided in a tiny container, which wasn't enough to balance the bitterness of the dahi papdi. The addition of boiled potatoes didn't enhance the flavor either. Our order was packed beautifully though and ready when we arrived. Although our experience with these dishes was disappointing, we're willing to give Chatpata India another chance and try their paranthas. Hopefully, our next experience will be more satisfying.

I ordered the 'Ghar ki Thali'--super tasty, very affordable at just $9.99, and highly hygienic. The owner, Rajan was very friendly.

The food over here was really nice, especially the Bhature and the Aloo paratha. The service was definitely faster than some places, but some food items took a bit longer. The free chai (I think it was Kava chai with Ilaichi or Cardamom). The ambience was also really nice, with the "tent" and heaters and the truck in front. Overall if you are looking for a nice completely veg restaurant style truck with nice food and seating, try this area out.

I stopped by here with a friend. Upon reviewing past Yelp reviews and their marketing banners around the spot, I believed Kadhi Kachori is among their most popular items so we decided to order one and share. This was our first time at this place so we're a bit skeptic about the taste, so decided to start with just one. It's a unique combination. Punjabi kadhi with kachori, I've never had this before. But true to their marketing it was just fabulous. The kachori was amazingly crunchy even when dipped in kadhi. And kadhi by itself had amazing taste. But I do have a feedback. I believed it was quite expensive considering it a small snack/chaat. It stands at a big $12 ticket. Now by itself you may not think of it as much but with taxes and tips added to around $14.5 it actually affects your pocket for a light snack. Alternatively, if you aren't still able to image it as expensive, consider that kachori and samosa are almost equivalent in efforts. And you can easily get a samosa however superior the quality under $3-4, and the bowl is so small that it may not have more than 1-1.5 laddles of kadhi. So for that reason I thought it's priced quite high, I'd rather enjoy a good paneer tikka or soya chaap at some other food trucks or in an actual seat down restaurant.

While driving around Sunnyvale, Chatpata India Food Truck caught my eye with its vibrant graphics. We couldn't resist giving it a try.Service & Hospitality:What stood out to us was the warm and friendly staff. They eagerly discussed the menu and ingredients and made recommendations. The person who seemed to manage the truck embodied the spirit of Indian hospitality, saying, "Try this. Try that. Don't worry, pay me only if you really like the food." If possible, I'd give them a 6/5 for the hospitality!Food:The food, however, was a bit hit-and-miss. We ordered four dishes among us, and here's how I would rate them: Dahi Sev Puri - 2/5: The yogurt was so very cold and sour, causing an uncomfortable sensation in my teeth. Kadhi Kachori - 4/5: My first time trying this dish, it tasted good, but I lack a benchmark for comparison. Extra point for novelty. Paneer Paratha - 4/5: Flaky outside, warm inside, flavorful, and comforting - "makhan maarke!" Chana Puri - 2/5: Watered-down gravy with an overwhelming garam masala taste, while the chana was bland. The manager kindly gave my son a complimentary small Mango Lassi after he accidentally chewed a chili. Although we appreciated the gesture, the yogurt in the lassi was too tangy for our liking.Value:Prices are reasonable, though slightly higher than similar food trucks.Overall, I'm excited to return to Chatpata India to explore more dishes and experience their warmth and hospitality.

I recently saw on social media outlets that there is a food truck selling kadhi kachori and I came here to try the same. We ordered Pani Puri, tea and kadhi kachori. The pani Puri was good with delicious water flavor of mint and spices. You can also get a refill if you want. I didn't like the tea too much since it had flavor of carom seeds and it made the tea slightly bitter but definitely good for digestion. The kadhi Kachori was ok not great.

I recently tried food from this food truck because I was excited to see "Indori Shikanji" on their menu (Indore is my hometown :))I tried the kadhi kachori and chole kulcha. The kadhi kachori was pretty nice! Chole kulcha felt very simple and homely although I was looking for a more spiced up version at a food truck. I got takeout and while waiting for my food to get ready, the food truck owner was so kind and offered me a fresh bowl of Kadhi Kachori (he insisted I try it hot and fresh vs in a takeout) and hot masala chai!

Good taste and quality. Tried the aloo paratha, chole bhatura, aloo tiki burger, and kadhi kachori. Everything was perfect. They could add an amul cheese option for the burger, and it'd be a blast.
