Casa Lupe Mountain View

One of my fave restaurants whenever I'm in the mood for cheese enchiladas with red sauce. It's so simple yet delicious. They bring you 2 types of salsa (1 red salsa that has a nice kick & great flavor while the other is a bit chunky & not spicy at all) with warm tortilla chips - so good, I think we got a couple refills. They have a big menu but again my go-to are the cheese enchiladas. I did get 1 cheese & 1 chicken recently which was a nice mix. Chicken is somewhat moist & is shredded. This place is super cute, cozy, clean & colorful. The staff is very attentive & friendly which makes this place worth coming for.

We stopped here before a show at the Center for Performing Arts. They seated us right away and the staff was very attentive and friendly. They had Spanish music being played - on a harp! - which was interesting and not as overbearing as mariachi. It was nice that they had both indoor and outdoor seating.I got the Chili Verde burrito, which was large and very good. I had plenty to take home for lunch. My husband got the triple enchilada plate, which he finished off, so it must have been good as well.The two entrees with two of the special black cherry margaritas came to about $80, which honestly is pretty par for a dinner out these days.

Solid Mexican food with friendly staff. Great enchiladas suizas and good margarita. I enjoy the colorful decor.

While driving by Mountain View my mom announced that she had a sudden craving for Mexican food. We stopped into Casa Lupe hoping to satisfy her craving. The restaurant is colorful and cozy on the inside, with tables both inside and out. It was lunchtime on a Monday and the restaurant was nearly full, but luckily we were able to get one of the few remaining tables. Their menu is extensive, including the usual Enchiladas, Burritos, Quesadillas, Tacos, etc., along with every type of combination plate you can imagine with different options for protein or vegetables. We were warmly greeted by our server and were immediately given chips and salsa, along with water. Our order: Quesadilla (ground beef) for Mom, and the Enchilada California (flour tortilla, red sauce, cheese, sour cream, guac) for me. The Enchiladas were very good, and Mom said the Quesadilla completely satisfied her craving (and hey, if you make Mom happy it's a good day). Portions were large, giving us both leftovers. The chips, unfortunately, were unseasoned and somewhat bland. And when our meal was complete it was difficult to find a server to get our check. But overall the food was good, and there's plenty to choose from if you find yourself with a sudden Mexican food craving. We'll definitely be back.

Usual Mexican food. Liked their veggies served with fajitas. Were stared at as soon as it was 9pm though our food was served just 15 mins ago. Might not visit again given we did not find the food to be special either

Ordered takeout from here the other day, The portion was really large because I ordered the 3 choice entree with one Tamale and two enchiladas, it also came with rice and beans and a lot of cheese on the side. The waiter here was very nice and the food was done very fast, I also like the Mexican themed environment and the decorations. The food was ok but I wouldn't say that it's super authentic. Would like to try eating here in person next time!

I like to visit the casto street for dinner since it is a nice place with bunch of options. Most of the restaurants here have an outdoor seating as well, not this one. The food at Casa Lupe was mediocre at best. It was not bad but it definitely lacked the taqueria taste. I had tacos which were dry and lacked stuffing. It does come with beans and salad on side but I usually don't like that anyways. The service was off in the beginning and good at the end which made me think if that was just an act for the tips. I would give 2 star at max for the service. The ambience was pretty good. I enjoyed the ambience but that was the it.

Oh gosh, the simple way of reviewing this restaurant is by saying how deliciously fresh and authentic the good tasted! I would also add that the service and atmosphere of the restaurant were quite professional, yet also had an traditional style feel to it, especially with Spanish music playing in the background! Would highly recommend going to this restaurant (;

Ambiance at 7 pm was clean & comfortable, friendly service, and the Diet Coke was good. Bad Diet Coke makes a difference. The carbonation & sugar has to be close to perfect. The chips were crisp and salsas were yummy, not too spicy.My partner and I shared a combination platter, chili relleno, beef burrito, and pork tamale. The platter looked delicious to me. We knew what we were eating but it was a little bland. I added some salsa and it was much better. It's a nice sit down taqueria. I would come again to relax, have a Diet Coke, some chips & salsa, and try some other items on the menu.

We love this place! Consistently great food, efficient service and a warm, friendly atmosphere.
