*this review is from a DoorDash order*Ordered three sandwiches for my family and I! We got the magic trip tip, the sleeper, and the Bruno. All sandwiches were about 7inches. The tri tip was definitely the best of the bunch! A good amount of meat and was flavorful/warm. Unfortunately, the other two sandwiches were very disappointing. Both came out super tough/hard bread (we got sourdough). It was towards the end of the day, so that could have been the reason. The other issue was that my sandwich, the Bruno was supposed to come with salami, but it didn't come with any. Would try again, but go in store this time to make sure everything is made correctly.

Drive by this place all the time, and finally decided to check it out. Was a little shocked by the cursing, but just know it was all love and jokes Lol. Only knew this man for about 15 mins, but he earned my respect with the amount of meat he put into the sandwiches.Three words I would describe this place would be: generous, funny, and delicious. I would definitely come back.

Always pure luck on finding this place. Always drove pass it seeing the sign saying Tri tip sandwich. On the way to airport Costco. Finally stopped in. Parking is located in back. Also a back entrance located in the lot. I walked in through the front because it felt like the right thing to do. Walked in to old school music playing. Just felt an energy . Michael the owner is a terrific personality and wealth of information. Had to order the Tri tip sandwich on Dutch crunch. Just wanted to see what they can do with a sandwich. They do a lot!!! Perfect, tasty, moist and crunchy. A mouthful of flavor in each an every bite. Also was offered something to drink. They have a fancy espresso machine, you get a cup, place it in position, press hot and whatever drink you choose. And Presto!! It come out. I am coming back with friends. They have online orders. So work is gonna get some treats!!!

Delicious deli - will be our go-to place for sandwiches and meats! The owner working there was an expert in meat smoking and bbq. We bought tri-tip as well that was expertly cured and also custom seasoning rub to smoke our own.

I called my usual sandwich spot and towards the end of my phone order they hang up on. When I called back a different person answered and said they were to busy and was not taking any more phone orders and told me to walk in. So I searched yelp and found Carroll's and gave them a call. The owner was very friendly over the phone and in-person. I ordered the black magic tri-tip. The sandwich was ready when I arrived and the owner and I chopped it up. I will be back to try other things... maybe the ribs!

It's been awhile since my last review here, and I gotta say after all these years, Mike (owner) is still crushing the sandwich game! I've been eating his Black-magic tri-tip for over a decade now, and it's been the most consistent and tastiest tri-tip sandwich you can find in the area. Get it on Dutch crunch, add some jalapeños and it makes for one delicious meal. If you are feeling extra extra, get a double meat sandwich and enjoy the nap afterwards! For Parking..:There's a small driveway that leads to the back of the building, with a few parking spots marked as carrolls. Never have had a hard time to getting a spot, running in and grabbing my food. Since my last review, I hired Mike to cater a huge bbq and he was able to come out to San Bruno park and bbq on-site. He's a super busy guy, so if you need him to cater a bbq, he's easy to work with, works within your budget and knows how to portion things out based on your attendance. Highly recommend as his food was a hit for the party!

The sandwiches here are delicious! It was my first time here, so of course I had to try Carroll's famous bbq black magic tri-tip. I got it on Dutch crunch bread, and the meat was so flavorful my friend's juvenile delinquent cat, Phoenix, wouldn't leave me alone while I was trying to enjoy my sandwich. The owner also hooked it up with a piece of lamb chop when I was waiting for my sandwich. It was super juicy and flavorful! I will definitely come back for more next time when I'm in San Bruno!

We stopped by Carroll's Meats today to buy some sandwiches. Today, being Saturday, their website lists Saturdays hours as 10am-4pm. We were there at 11am. Store was closed. E-mailed them to inquire. E-mail was kicked back as "undeliverable". What's up, Carroll's?
