I love me a good banh mi.My bestie recommended this place so we grabbed some sandwiches to go and I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the combo banh mi and it was only $7 but a good size and had LOTS of meat and pate. The pate is soooo delicious and I love how much they put on the sandwiches.Loved it so much I took my family the following week. Service is great. Fair prices and delicious Vietnamese food!

Another update. They've cleared up the inside area and made more area for seating which is nice! It's actually nice and organized. Prices for sandwiches are definitely on par now with most places but it's still not $8-9 which is FANTASTIC because I don't know what I'd do if it did become those prices. I'd still come.I do love that it's family owned and run. They're so efficient with their service. They try to get the line moving and all the orders lined up so you don't really wait very long as they have a system down. Make sure to bring cash! I don't know if they're doing cashless these days but I keep just bringing cash for this place. This is my go-to banh mi place and wish it were closer but if we're ever going in the area and it's lunch time, the likeliness of us picking up banh mi and other snacks is very very high. Definitely try them out!

First time here. I came in the afternoon after shopping and getting milk tea. It says it closes at 3:30, so I made it in time to buy some food. I got the Combo with Pork Cake and 2 egg rolls. The sandwhich was good. And the egg rolls were super crunchy. I didn't have cash on me, so the man at the cash register says Zelle or cash only.I'd come back for the sanwhiches.

This has become our weekly Thursday lunch, yup! My favorite is the bbq pork. I suggest you get there before 11ish, there is a line but worth the wait. Definitely a take-out place. Oh, we have also ordered items from their hot items, we usually save those for dinner.

This place is the best. It saves everyone in the East Bay a trip all the way down to the South Bay. You can order ahead on the phone, if they're not too busy. Because they absolutely have rushes throughout the day. But it's always worth the wait because all of the food is top notch. They've been taking cash for forever but they've been accepting Venmo for a while now. I still bring cash because they earn it running this business. They do catering trays and they're a great price. A lot of the food is Vietnamese comfort that you won't find in a pho restaurant and it warms my soul. But there's something for everyone so come hungry!

Super no frills, high traffic'd legit banh mi shop. This has been around for a long time, like well over 15 years, and I just got to stepping into their storefront just this year. Now I've had their sandwiches several times, but usually at someone's house already. Now that I've completed the experience of ordering, receiving and eating, I now feel ready to churn out a review.Place is not really for eat in. No tables or chairs. There may be a counter but I honestly have not seen anyone eat there at the site. You kinda won't want to as its kinda chaotic in there when things are going. People trying to order, some trying to pay, many are waiting and some are trying to pick up call in orders. And there is no visible system to discern on where to line up or stand. Just a cluster of people in a small space each trying to do their own thing. Now to their credit, they are good at eyeing who was in line and they are really quick at giving you your food, once you order it. Everything is arond $7ish whether their signature Vietnamese sandwiches or something pre-made that's wrapped up. Nothing is labeled so unless you know the culture's cuisine you many only recognize 1-2 things. There's also a hot steam table thing were you can get hot dishes, but those didn't look that good to me for some reason. Shrimp Spring Rolls (3.5*) I usually get these on a pho outing. Here you get 3 nice sized ones all wrapped up on a tray and cellophane. I think they'll only make a certain number and just replentish as they get taken. I felt theirs has a higher ratio of fillers like rice noodles and bean sprouts to the amount of shrimp. I did like the addition of mint leaves as I think it really makes this roll pop and is a good contrast to when you dip it into the sweet peanut sauce. Special Combo Banh Mi (4.5*) I think I've only had 2 of their banh mi. Both cold cut versions, nothing bbq'd or warm meats. But in those cold cut banh mi, I think they are protocol. Like if someone who's never had a banh mi in their life (like say someone from Ohio) Lol, wanted to try one, I would bring them here as I think they do a textbook version that'll get the point across. Love their crazy fresh French rolls that are airy yet with a good bite. Love the pate that comes in the 'special' combo one, and don't think it is on every sandwich by default. So if you like it, you better ask or request it versus just assume it is gonna be on there. Veggies are nice lots of daikon and carrot and just a scant of cilantro. They also don't put jalapenos on default and I've learned to ask for them. Solid divey banh mi shop that's tried and true. High traffic ensures freshness and deliciousness, but also be prepared to bump elbows and be aggressive in that line. Otherwise you may fall between the cracks. Lol.

This little piece of heaven has had locals coming around for decades. My favorite to go order is #4 bbq pork banh mi with no jalapeños. The bread is soft, toasted and not so over bearing with all the yummy ingredients inside. I also love getting the manyyyy different drinks in the cooler and the packed spring rolls. The bbq chicken on the hot food section is always juicy, great with rice. They also have variety of hot Vietnamese food, bubble teas, desserts, variety of asian snacks and Vietnamese sweet drinks.Service is always quick but does get busy. I recently visited back home and I love the upgrades they did. They accept phone orders and was cash only but now accept zelle. With a great amount of parking in a strip mall, good place to check out.

Cash or Venmo only! They have hot food options if you don't want to eat banh mi. The price for one sandwich is pretty decent compared to other spots in UC. The hot foods include some of Vietnamese comfort foods like ca kho or thit kho.The staff is a hit or miss as I've found some to be nicer than others. Parking isn't an issue here.

This is one of my boyfriend's favorite spots. For the Banh Mi, I love the crunchiness of the bread and the filling is just too good! We always get #6 (combination) and it always hits the spot. They also have the best chicken! For the price and for the quality, you can never go wrong! It's also a healthier alternative to getting fried chicken! The place is really more of a order and take-home kind of location as they don't have any seating options. Service is also pretty quick with no more than a 5 min wait. So if you are in need of a quick fix or unable to decide on a meal, Cam Huong is a great alternative!

Even though some of their prices have gone up since their remodel, it is still good value. They also have started offering additional items which I have yet to explore. Everything looks yummy.
