I have never been so disappointed from someone in business like this. John, the owner met with my daughter and her fiancé months ago he said he would cater their wedding it would be an honor. He told them all the wonderful things he could do and had the date on the books. We have been trying to contact him for over a month to finalize some details for the wedding. After multiple calls and emails went with no response I went into the cafe today and waited for him for about an hour. When he showed up he told me he can't do my daughters wedding because he has gotten too busy. I asked when was he planning on telling us as the wedding is in about a month and he just kept saying sorry but he was busy.I am disgusted by his lack of professionalism I would never recommend him. If he gets a bigger contract you will be pushed aside and not notified. He obviously doesn't know how to manage a catering business. When you get more business you need to hire more people. Talks a great game but does NOT come through.

Cafe Gourmet Catering saved me! CG showed up on a Google search as I was looking for catering for a baby shower brunch. The information available online was really helpful and even had a link to Instagram, so I scrolled through the site and loved what I saw and decided to call first thing in the morning. I called the contact number and spoke directly with Chef John. From the beginning, he was so friendly and helpful. He gave great recommendations and let me think about it with no pressure. That same day I decided to go with CG, after not liking what else was available, but mostly because of the great communication we had. He reassured me not to worry about anything and that I'd get to enjoy the party. I text Chef several times with questions and he was always responsive, including a late night text from Smart and Final, as they were out of chafing pans! He totally came through and helped provide professional trays and serving spoons! He arrived right on time with everything I needed. The food was perfect! The fruit salad was the best, not one of those with mostly cantaloupe or honeydew, his had all the good stuff! Oranges, blackberries, strawberries, watermelon, grapes, cantaloupe and honeydew. The organic scrambled eggs were so filling and the griddled potatoes were bomb! Lastly, the applewood smoked bacon was perfect! There was plenty of food for my party of 30 and we even got to have leftovers this morning! The price was very reasonable for all the food, serving supplies, delivery and party planning counseling sessions :)If you're looking for catering, Cafe Gourmet is the best! Super friendly Chef, delicious food and stress free planning to enjoy your event. Chef John is like family - what else could you ask for?!We're looking forward to more family events with Cafe Gourmet and Chef John!

One Saturday, it came up when talking with John and we immediately knew we wanted him to cater our Christmas party.He was amazingly flexible with the menu and was even able to increase the amount of food last minute.
