"I can't believe I've never written a review for Chaplin's before. I went on a Friday night just to grab some drinks with friends. They had a DJ to my surprise and really gave the place a good vibe. We got lucky and were seated in a booth right as we walked in. They have ample parking, but also have street parking available. I got a Moscow mule which was good and some Cajun fries. The Cajun fries had a kick to them if dipped in the chipotle mayo. The service was great with the team checking in every 10 mins to see if we need another drink or food item. I would highly recommend you check it out.Just wanted to add that I went and they had the Formula 1 Australian GP Practice 2 playing so I think they play the Formula 1 GP's here. Great to know I found a spot where I can go watch and have a drink!"
"This place is poppin! For a Tuesday its a great place to have a drink. Be prepared to stand as there's not much seating. Drinks are good. There's food to order on the side. Street parking. Service is good. It's loud in here as the DJ is turning it up. Not bad for a TUESDAY"

"Fun local place to come and have a few drinks for a good price. I'm a fan of the weekend because my work schedule but college nights on Tuesday and Thursday are always packed!"
"Really random friend gathering during Niners game. Was initially pretty meh about locale.Food was surprisingly tasty- Cuban sandwiches, quesadilla, truffle fries, Korean wings less greasy than your average sports bar. Mac n cheese just ok. Nice beer selection also cocktails & bottles of wine which our group had a bit of each. The few women working were total rock stars, bartending, cooking, clearing tables & super duper patient."
"From the tame to the exotic. Parktown Pizza is a pleasant dining experience. The thin crust pizza we had was excellent. The handcrafted cauliflower crust was thin - just as we had ordered. The toppings and sauce were well balanced and was in one word delicious. The service was AAA+++. Give Yourself a pleasant break from the day and enjoy a night out at Parktown Pizza ."
"My friend's art event was taken place here last Thursday. Venue was pretty cool- I think there was 3 different rooms. I enjoyed the artworks that was featured there. Music was great with remixes. Found parking on the street fairly easy."
"It was the best of times it was the worse of times here in Burlingame California. While we started our vacation on a good note we ended stranded on a bad note. My husband and I had a long day from being stranded in San Francisco CA by United Airlines. We were happy at least to make the of our meal vouchers. After having a nice Korean meal down the stripe of Burlingame's little downtown area, we got to settle in for a night cap at the West Bay Restaurant bar. It was late into the evening with just a few customers watching the Giant's baseball game. We got seated right away at the booth and ordered two desserts and two drinks. My husband got a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and I got a Vodka Fresh. It was one of those nights where some sweet treats and a vodka fresh was going to make the night feel calmer and better. I had their pear tartlet and my husband had their lemon sorbet it was refreshing and mine was sweet and a little rich with the tart shell being very much like pastry crust. It was good can't complain. Our server was I believe also the host he was nice and took our order when we were ready and gave us our check when we were done. We took our time having our night caps and went back upstairs to our hotel room to enjoy the rest of the evening before sleepy time, the end."
"This is a lovely dive bar with a ton of seating and plenty of games for visitors to enjoy, including a wall full of dartboards, air hockey, two pool tables, and a few arcade games (though these were dark/unplugged on a Sunday afternoon)... no shuffleboard on site as of Jan 2024. We played some darts and billiards during our time at Normandy, and had a boatload of fun while getting tipsy off some standard cocktails (slow but friendly service). You can ask for darts at the bar and can play for free if you don't wanna keep score, but to actually play the different dart games (ie. cricket) and keep score, you'll need to pay cash. It's cheap though, and so are the pool tables. The place doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's clean, modern, and spacious inside, with the games and machines in working order and in very good condition, except for a couple of the dart boards super sensitive to touch, so if pulling off darts, it would count as a miss on the next player's turn (we didn't have this problem with the red machines though). No crowds, no waits to play games, just good times!"
"Went for an evening with friends to hangout and play games. Had the famous Eli's lemon pepper signature wings with handmade ranch. Meet the owner she was super sweet and did an amazing job remodeling the place. Definitely recommend for date night or girls night!"
"Bartender holds a special place with me. Always have a great time. I usually meet up with my friend here after work when I'm in the area. Crowd is pretty friendly and they always have some kind of party going on. Definitely worth a look if you're into a good dive."
"This is a fun no frills Irish bar with tons of regulars. Enjoy trivia on Wednesday nights at 8pm, or come in for a weeknight Guinness. Sometimes there's a food truck out front, or you can visit George's next door and they will bring it over to you. You can also bring in food. My favorite is the Calisqueeze on tap."
"We have been going to this neighborhood gem for years - back when it was Parkside Tavern - and now that it is O'Brien's. Maybe 15 years?! We were so glad that the new owner and many of the staff of the former restaurant stayed and that the same friendly faces are still here to greet us! The ambiance is wonderful. Full bar decked out and especially festive for the holidays with beautiful decor of lights and garland. So cozy. The menu for dinner is great. We love the steak frites, the salmon, the pork chop. The potato skins are a solid app especially during happy hour. The drinks here are also solid. They do a fantastic dirty martini. Wines are good to complement a meal also. The wait staff are attentive and so welcoming. One time I had a steak that I ordered medium and our server noticed before I did that it was way under done. She was proactive and made sure and took it back to get it cooked to my liking. I really appreciate how attentive and detailed the wonderful staff is here. A wonderful neighborhood spot. We love this place! Highly recommended!"

I booked a surprise party here and let's just say it couldn't have gone any better.Pros: Service, FoodCons: They're really busyLet me start off by saying thank you to Alfred and the servers. You all made the night so easy for me as an organizer and everyone left very happy. We were able to book the back room for our event (at no cost, with a minimum), and we had a blast. (The only downside was it was small for how many people we had, over 35 people, but I don't put that on them).I ordered an array of their food from tacos, sliders, veggies, and fries. All of it was delicious. No one left hungry, including children. The place was packed (granted it was a Friday night) and the service was still phenomenal.Thank you Chaplin's team for making our night a memorable one!

It's a bar that serves food, plays music from the 90's and 2000s, has TV screens, a pool table and usb ports at the bar counter to charge your phones. Charging cable not included. When my group arrived around 7pm on a Saturday night, there was only 1 bartender so service was a bit slow. However the cocktails here are made strong. We had to tell the bartender to adjust the taste a bit to our liking. The cocktails range from $13-$15. I liked that there was also a water station close by. This place was a great way to kill time while we waited for a table at a near by restaurant.

Great bartender banter to start Cold beer and fancy tasty martinis Calamari that was refreshingly NOT greasy in a light beer batter. Salmon accompanied by a polenta and a white fish dinner, both grilled. Healthy and tasty. Maria, bartender: infectious smile And energy Richard, bartender with a welcome quirky humor. They made us feel welcome with their energy and wit. Thank you crowne To Bartender Richard !Richard,You have a unique , friendly, manner. The last thing this weary traveler wants at the end of the day is stuffy formality. You are exceedingly pleasant and comfortable to hang with. Thanks fir the great , fast , service.

Good service. The Asian man in the front is always moving and checking people in. Checking on tables and serving food. I would just say if you paid for free breakfast for two just confirm. They didn't have us on the list, so he had to call to confirm. Almond butter was ok. The sunrise entree was good. We liked the bacon, potatoes, and toasts.

"Love this cool lil spot! The food is Awesome and the bartenders are great. They have pool tables , small dance floor for certain nights they have a dj, and more. Deff recommend to stop by and check out"
"This place is awesome.Came here on a random night with some out of town friends, and we ordered every kind of taco, nachos, quesabirrias, and some nice drinks. Literally everything was way above average. A dive bar like this having food this good is just crazy. To that point, it definitely is a dive bar. You don't come for the ambiance, although I appreciated its pretty clean (including the bathrooms), well lit, and the music isn't obnoxiously loud. The bartenders/order takers/waiters are all very nice. They did comment on how much food we ordered, but then again they made really good food so we kept ordering more. So it's their own fault we pigged out.Prices are fine, drinks are good, food is great, and it's a pleasant environment. I would 100% come back. They take credit cards and have a decent size lot out front. Just be warned that it's under an overpass and easy to miss when driving."
"One of our go-to places to bring our girls to enjoy a family night out. They have games and good food which is a recipe for a great time!We usually goto Shabuya for dinner but ever since we tried the food here, we've been making it a one stop shop the last few visits. We usually get here early evening time and we've never had an issue getting a seat immediately. They usually have a host standing in front but it's self seating so you can find a table of your liking. They have a great setup of big TVs that are playing all the major sporting events. Below it is a huge bar if you're looking to get drinks. As far as food goes, I went with the Big Als signature burger, my wife ordered the Kicking Cali Sandiwich and my girls ordered the kids Mac and Cheese with a side of tangerines. My burger was delicious. I went with the triple patty since I was hungry. Toasted brioche with three quarter pound patty's loaded with American cheese and lettuce and tomatoes. Overall a very solid burger. From a proportion standpoint, I think the double is the better choice as this one was a tad bit too much ground beef. This time around, the patty could have been slightly seasoned more but other than that, I really enjoyed it. The Kickin Cali Sandwich had the opposite, it was too much bread and not enough chicken. The flavors were on point, just needed more protein. The kids always enjoy the Kraft mac and cheese and more importantly, they give you a $5 kids play card with each kids meal ordered!I have yet to try to go bowling as it's always booked but I hope to try it sometime. The game options are fantastic and it's guaranteed a great time for your kids. Highly recommend checking out big Al's with the family!Pro tip - they have 1/2 off games on Wednesdays!"
"Most amazing bartenders ever! Especially Coco! She makes everyone so comfortable and happy! I'm stoked i found her and this bar!"
"I had an updated review from May 2019. I do not know where it went.I took my grandmother in for her birthday in May. She was turning 90? She was a testy old lady who I loved very much but was at times hostile, mean. Well, I had no idea what was coming. We were seated by a gentleman who was to be our waiter. He was soooo patient. Halfway through the evening I had to pull him aside and let him know "I am sorry my grandma is being so abusive, I do not understand her motives, I am so sorry!" He replied that it was "OK" and I said "No, it is not ok!" and he assured me he was ok and could handle it. I am glad I did this because she then proceeded to call him an idiot again and asked if he was always this stupid. She chewed him up and spit him out. I sunk my head into my hands. I had not prepared for this emotionally. He took the entire event with stride like he went to a seasoned grouchy old lady bootcamp. As mortified as I was, I gave him well over 100 dollar tip and said I am really sorry for my grans attitude. She passed away in 2021. I later earned the hardships of her youth and how it shaped her world. I have a lot more compassion for older folks now after seeing this waiter roll with it so well. I learned the QTIP method. Quit Taking It Personal. This waiter definitely showed the kind of patience and grace we should all be so lucky to have and show. He could have kicked us out and would have been well within his rights to do so. So, thank you HQB&G for being the last place I would take my grandmother out to eat and making it less dramatic. She might have been a mean old lady but she was also the sweetest lady in the world underneath. RIP Noni 05/05/2021"
"Lots of fun, huge place, lots of screens, nice bartenders, lots of games, bomb food! I had a burger and it was big and juicy and lots of options on fries"
"Had the pleasure of bowling here for the first time today with a friend on Sunday afternoon around 2:30 pm! Overall, this venue is so much better than Bowlero because of its inexpensive rates and atmosphere. We were on a 5-10 minute waiting list since the lanes were full, but the wait was quick as we watched the bowling balls glide through the lines. Great oil on the lanes, well furnished lanes, no balls got stuck whatsoever. After bowling, we played billiards and everything was well organized and orderly.I would definitely come here again!"
"New owners, new vibes.Recently attended their soft opening's and was greeted by great people with great hospitality!Food was great, real authentic mexican food, my favorite was the Cochinita (solid 9/10).A great spot to pregame before events (across the street from SAP Center)!"
"I was given the task to find a place for 22 people to dine and only had two days to make it happen. To my delight, the first place I looked was Fiddlers's Green, and Sarah answered the phone and made it happen!Sarah, to my delight, was also our server for the evening and was amazing! She handled the entire party of 22 all while serving other tables! Not a single mistake, as every plate of foid, every drink was placed in front of the correct person! Even a few special requests were handled deftly! The cocktails were great, beer was cold, and the food was tasty! All enjoyed it.Cool vibe, lots of tvs for sports and it's a great spot for any sized party. Outdoor space, too!"
"Ambiance, hospitality and food all get 5 stars in my opinion. Staff was generous, food came out fresh and warm! If you are into sports and are looking for variety of dishes this is the spot to enjoy some good food and drinks. We even scored by coming during happy hour so prices are very reasonable, we will be returning soon."
"Yummy pub food, convenient location. I have no pic, but I had the between the sheets cocktail and it was yummy! My group had a pretzel, fish and chips and sliders. They were all very good. The pretzel had a nice crunchy exterior and a chewy middle the dips were very good too. Fish and chips was seasoned well, the batter was nice and crisp and not thick and greasy. The sliders were my favorite. The sweet onions and pickle relish was so tasty and yet they didn't overpower the angus beef. I prefer the shoe string over the steak fries."
"Cannot give this place less then 5 stars. It was one of my old haunts for nearly 8 1/2 years. I worked at Monster Cable and our HQ was in Brisbane. 7 Mile was a company favorite for every major sporting event (SF Giants WS run 2010, 2012, 2014; SF 49ers SB run 2012; GS Warriors Finals 2014 - 2015). It was also a place to celebrate milestones (birthdays, employee anniversaries, farewells, etc). I hadn't been back since late 2015 and it was so wonderful to see the joint hadn't changed. I heard there were some struggles post-pandemic. So it was awesome see they were doing well.My current company participated in a volunteer event at the Cow Place and afterwards our VP took us to lunch at 7 Mile. I felt of wash of nostalgia as I sat down and looked around--everything was the same (maybe newer TVs).For the unenlightened, the owners are Filipino and they offer several Filipino dishes. You know this guy ordered the Pork Adobo. I didn't take pictures of everyone's dish, because I didn't want to be THAT GUY at a compay event. But, check out my dish. It is as good as it looks."
"Service was great. Food was okay. I've had better at other Hilton hotels. I got their margarita on special and it wasn't that good at all. Best part of the place is the awesome view you get"
"I appreciate the openness to discourse on this issue. We have communicated via email and I now believe the owner is trying to be transparent. I still believe that the implementation of a separate surcharge by its nature shifts the onus to the consumer to notice the added fee and no matter how you communicate it, it will always be less transparent than listing the full price directly on the menu. That said, I do believe that Underdogs is genuinely listening to feedback and committed to making improvements where they feel is possible.Despite disagreeing on the necessity of separating the fees, I wish Underdogs the best!"
"Wild place. I popped in 2 weeks ago and the lady that was the manager made me one of the best 'Old Fashioned's' I've ever had. Today I took my wife and it was some of the worst drinks we've ever had!Breakdown of our two drinks:Margarita, for my wife. Margaritas are not builds, they are shaken. Drink was out of balance, poured poorly, and stirred.Old fashioned, for me. Old Fashioned's are stirred, this was. However it was strained, over nothing (no ice) in a martini glass? We were the only customers in the bar as we were in town for the farmers market as it opened. It took the bartender around 5 minutes to produce two drinks. If we walked in the bar again and we saw this gentleman behind the bar, we're out the door.....The vibe/ambiance is weird....There's records on the wall, some oddly placed Funko Pop's and games that need to be moved around to fit better. My wife joked it's a goofy bar representation of our living room! We'll try again, thanks to happy hour pricing, but today was soooooo bad!Really a let down after one amazing cocktail......."
"The food is very good and there is a great array of choices! Fun to eat there and fun to eat at home! Very good hamburgers. The people are very friendly and cater to your needs. Haven't had anything I didn't like!! Nice drive and surroundings."
"I'm writing another update pretty close to my last one because I just absolutely love this place! Wave is a great place to chill, grab a coffee...something to eat & watch sporting events! It amazes me how not only is the service top notch, but the girls here are not only Gorgeous, but they really are very nice too! Never stuck up & always have a smile on their faces! Kitty & Lily did an awesome job as always & since it's Halloween weekend, they looked Breathtaking (Kitty as a Sexy Kitten & Lily as a Smoking Police girl)Thanks again Wave! Can't wait for my next visit! 5 out of 5 stars...once again!!!"
"Good bar food, especially the pizza. We come here often for office happy hours...it's big enough. Good seating space, not too cluttered. Well organized. Good for any size group - small or even large groups.Good selection of cocktails and food to please all pallets. I am a vegetarian and always find plenty of options to please my very picky taste buds. Service is good as well...friendly and efficient.Portion size are good for sharing.Nice place overall! Not extraordinary, but good enough...especially for big groups.Good value for money.Looking forward to visiting again soon!"
"Came here to watch a basketball game and got exactly that. Overall vibe is definitely like a local sports bar/dive bar. There were pool tables too which was coolThe drinks were super reasonably priced. We ordered 3 cocktails and a beer and the bill came out to around ~25 I believe which was a pleasant surprise. The bartender was also really nice too.If you're looking for a local place and cheap drinks or a place to watch sports game this is just the spot!"
"It's been a while since I last had a meal here. I forgot how darn good their food and beer were. I had the large order of the Fish and Chips. It came with a hefty order of fries and an equal portion of their excellent coleslaw. You get three large pieces of fried fish. The batter was light and crispy. The fish was delicious. The fries were crispy and delicious. I doused them with malt vinegar. It also came with some delicious tartar sauce. I washed it down with a pint of their 25th Anniversary Golden Ale. It was perfect with a light balance of tart and sweet. It's been a while since I frequented the restaurant and wish I came here more often. It's well worth the trip from Warm Springs. Come and enjoy a cold brew and some excellent food."
"I love this place. I might have to come check this place on my free time. Karina was very friendly plus she has beautiful eyes. Just for that I will have to come back play pool."
"We came here for their Fri/Sat/Sun after 5pm prime rib $39. It was alright. It wasn't anything fancy. For +$3.50, you can get either a salad or soup of the day. Today was clam chowder. As for the sides, you can choose between creamed spinach or cooked vegetables, either a baked potato or garlic mash potatoes. I asked for gravy on the mash potatoes but gravy was not available. My prime rib came with a bone but my friend's didn't. Both were thick and didn't leave us hungry. As for the meat, it got tedious to eat toward the end as it was a lot food. My guess is around 16oz. The quality was OK. It is not herb crusted nor aged that long. They should have dry aged it a bit more for the enzymes to develop a more complex flavor. As for the dining experience, no wait on a Friday night, unlike HOPR or Westlake Joe's. Vallemar Station puts glass on top of table clothes with paper napkins, yes, that kind of vibe. The bartender lady must be at least 70 years old. The waitstaff is young and energetic. There's a huge TV at the bar and also the dining room. It reminded me of how Val's in Daly City used to be, but a notch lower. Free bread. Service was excellent."
"Super friendly staff! Always wanted to come here pre covid, and now that I got the time to check this place out, it turns out they're pretty chill.Bartenders Leah and Jen (Jess?) Are extremely friendly and made me feel right at home. Their good luck even made me a decent amount of cash when playing the ca hot spot lottery here every time I came! If you're missing the small town dive bar feel pre covid, then definitely hit this place up during the week nights. Small but friendly social crowd.Weekends however, its a little busy but thats to be expected huh."
