Beautiful spot! My partner and I decided to go for a tasting on our way home from Santa Cruz a couple of months ago and it was lovely! Beautiful grounds, attentive tasting room service, knowledgeable conversations for an all together beautiful afternoon. We will definitely be back!

Really disappointing wine tasting experience... Ambiance: looks super cute pulling up... however only members are allowed in the patio terrace. So then non-members like myself are stuck sitting on dirty metal chairs located in the parking lot. Wine: quality was very disappointing. Some of the comments from our group was "this wine tastes like it's been left out for days", "this tastes like Vinegar and a wine I would pour down the sink"... look at my pic of the wine with the sediment!!! Gross..... Service: again, disappointing. We served our own water, sat ourselves, no service at all. If this is your thing, then by all means... you enter the tasting room and are barely greeted. Once checked in, you get your glass and have to keep returned to get your pours. No one comes to bring you the next pour, so you can't settle down and enjoy a space out on the property, because you have to keep walking back to the tasting room. Additionally, the wine pourer guy did not explain anything. He says what the wine is, pours and sends us out on our way. Lastly, there were kids everywhere. On this unfortunate day, a group of adults decided to bring 6 children here. Between the scream and shrieking, cartwheels in the grass, red solo cups.... It was a hot mess. This is NOT the wine tasting experience you expect nor imagine. All in all, absolutely not worth $25 for a 4-pour tasting. NOT MINDFUL, NOT DEMURE.

I came here with a friend and this was a super cute winery! The weather was incredibly hot, so we drank our wine in their tasting room. Recommended!

I have fond memories of Byington! I got married here in 1996. Weddings at wineries outside of Napa were probably not a thing during the 90's and I'd like to think that I helped usher in a trend. Everyone certainly thought it was unique at the time. It was an incredible venue and even though it was foggy on my wedding day, the venue immediately made accommodation and we married in doors with a fireplace going! Everyone truly enjoyed the venue and I had requests for their champagne from guests several years later. I've been a divorce woman for over ten years now, but never forgot what a beautiful day it was and Byington Vineyard's role in making it so. The fog later cleared and some phenomenal pics were taken.

We stopped in at byington for a Friday afternoon tasting. Getting here is not for the faint of heart. It's a windy road!It was raining outside, but inside the tasting room, they had a real fire going and it smelled wonderful and felt cozy! I took my wine right over and parked there next to the fire. Ahh!I enjoyed my wine, too. Most of the grapes are from Alexander Valley, rather than Santa Cruz AVA.I thought the tasting room was very nice. It wasn't crowded, but there was a steady stream of tasters coming in.Thanks, byington, for making my rainy Friday a little nicer!

Great tour and great wine! The wine cave is very cool and the scenery is beautiful. They let us bring some of our own snacks in.

I was looking for a winery closer than Napa that actually had the grapes used in the wines on the property. Wow this winery did not disappoint! It's in the Santa Cruz mountains closer to Los Gatos. It has a stunning view of the mountains and the ocean. The road to get there is a bit windy with poor cell service.Reservations The winery takes reservations online! They were super busy and understaffed when we got there but we didn't mind. Wine Delicious but we definitely had a favorite (the Pinot)!! Honestly in the future I would skip the tasting and do a glass of the Pinot noir - the grapes are grown on the estate. Outdoor seating They have outdoor seating! It says no outside food on the website but several people brought their own charcuterie boards. Will try to do this next time! Grounds They have a bocce court that you book when you get there. Someone stayed longer than their reservation and it was challenging to enforce but if you are lucky to get a chance - highly recommend! There were also a flock of wild turkeys. Overall- gorgeous winery! Can't wait to come back.

The roads to this vineyard were extremely windy and curvy! So beware if you have motion sickness. And are afraid of narrow streets cliff side lolAnyway there was a sharp left turn into the drive way so I'm glad I drove slow enough to catch it. The grounds are pretty. You can see into the valley of trees. The reserve Pinot was the best! Friendly staff. Wine 3/5Service 3/5

Excellent wine- excellent service by Maddie and Chris! Both spent time telling us about the wine and even went out of their way to find a wine that we had tried before and loved. Too bad we are out of town as we'd definitely be back on a regular basis. Gorgeous venue!

Ugh, so hopeful and I was sooo disappointed!! Drove up on a rainy day and the tasting room was uncomfortable because there are metal chairs w/o backs to sit on (? WTF?). I asked to try chardonnay and I was told none was opened -- but there were boxes all around. So clearly she didn't want to open or wasn't empowered to open ?! Plus I wasn't greeted with a "hello" but she said "I will be right back". My short experience felt like I drove up in the rain to inconvenience them. There are many other wineries!!
