Someplace she has been wanting to go visit for a while, we finally came to the Burrell School Vineyard and Winery. It is really just a vineyard/winery, but the land was purchased with an old school that the owner restored for its history. The wine selection was delicious for the wine tastings. I think we both enjoyed the young Pinot Noir. The wine club membership sounds really good! A flat rate for seasonal offerings is a good idea! The location is charming and has some great spots for pictures! There is a gazebo on the property and they are very welcoming for you to walk the grounds.Very interested to return for some more pictures and more wine!

This is a charming little schoolhouse. The property itself is very cute, with a quaint and cozy atmosphere that adds to its appeal. While the wines from the Santa Cruz Mountains may not be stellar, they are certainly good enough to enjoy a pleasant tasting experience. What really stands out are the views. The scenic beauty of the area makes it a wonderful spot to relax and take in the surroundings. Overall, it's a delightful place to visit, especially if you're looking to enjoy a peaceful and picturesque setting.

This vineyard is directly next-door to Regale, another vineyard. It is such a cute schoolhouse on a beautiful property. The wisteria was in bloom when we visited, and it felt like something out of the hobbit home in Lord of the Rings lol. I really liked the cab franc & my husband enjoyed the pinot. Overall, the wine is above average, but not stellar. You can buy a bottle in lieu of a tasting fee. They allow you to bring your own snacks and children are allowed. It was quaint and intimate, I'm sure we'll be back since it's right next to Regale where we go often.

The scenery is awesome, with great views of the estate vineyard and Santa Cruz Mountains. The place is charmingly rustic, built around a historical school. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. All sorts of wonderful things about this place. Too bad the wine is pretty average! The Chardonnay's were good, but all the reds really lacked any punch and just fell flat. They let me sample a $75 per bottle Pinot Noir that I liked, but tasted like Pinot's that are a third of the price.I'd go here again, lovely place to spend some time, but it's a pity the wines don't bring a lot to the party.

So easy to make reservations for Sat! We even made reservations the day of. There's both indoor and outdoor seatings. We chose outdoors of course. We were the only ones sitting outside. But the weather was cold and gloomy. $20 for 6 wines. We got to revisit some. Tasting fee is waived with a purchase of a bottle. This place's tasting portion also depends who you is pouring you the wine. We liked the Pinot noir estate reserve and Cabernet franc merlot estate.

We were very lucky to have Rich be able to host a wine tasting for our small work team event on very short notice. We brought our own picnic food, and had an amazing time looking over the very scenic winery and gorgeous views from the outside tasting deck. This was truly and escapist experience for all of us on a beautiful day with a very down to earth and easy going picnic and wine tasting. The relaxing atmosphere let us truly enjoy the wines, and they tasted great.

First off the view is amazing. Second, it's 9 wine tastings for 15$. You can't go wrong with this!! Our favorite were the Field Trip and Teacher's Pet. Will definitely come here again!!

I've been a member at Burrell School for about 3 years now and I'm rarely disappointed with their wines and wine club selections. They have great pinot noirs and merlots! They are open Friday-Sunday and have yummy food pairings during wine club pickups. They've allowed us to bring a baby (sleeping in a car seat) in and they've also allowed us to bring a group via party bus to the vineyard. On occasion they offer tastings in the old school house too! The views are great and the pourers are always friendly. It's a great spot for a picnic with the views of the Santa Cruz mountains from their deck.

I try not to critique the wines. The reds were dry, and the one from Paso was my favorite, but I'm not sure what "awards" they won. Is there an award for "Funkiest Chardonnay"? Because, then, yeah, blue ribbon. The place is worth a visit because it is a comfortable wine tasting room with nice servers, in a unique setting with a rich history. The tasting room has a cutesy school theme, with wines like the Teacher's Pet or the Dean's List. It almost makes you forget that California is ranked #40 in education. The servers were all eating a pizza, and they offered us a paper plate of cheese bits. If you want to know what this feels like Google the hilarious and brief "Grape and cucumber experiment".

We stopped by the winery for the first time in 5 years and were pleasantly surprised to find the wines just as delicious as we remembered them. We had one of our first dates here ten years ago and it absolutely has not lost its charm. Thank you Rich for your hospitality, we hope to be back soon to enjoy the cute school house and tasting room.
