Tldr: classic wood grill, great service, authentic feelingUsed to come here as a child with my parents, decided to go back for some nostalgia, did not fail to meet my expectation. Order Kalbi + spicy pork with nyeong myeon! Everything was delicious except Spicy pork a little too saucy. Will definitely come back to try other items! They also threw in a free tofu soup

I think this was the first time I've had charcoal Korean BBQ in the USA and I'm a happy camper! The quality of the meat is top notch and the service was great. Prices were as expected with random fees automatically added to the bill (SF Health tax, tip, etc). Albeit, I had a good meal and liked the charcoal cooking experience.Pro-tip: Don't wear nice clothing here, especially garments you don't want smelling like smoke.

I normally keep an open mind when it comes to Korean restaurants in SF given it's not a specialty of the city, but Brothers actually did a great job filling our KBBQ cravings. We definitely over ordered for us 2 (a normal occurrence) as we went with the kalbi, spicy pork, tofu stew, seafood pancake, and oyster pancake. Our server surprisingly didn't flinch that we ordered all of that food and was even sweet enough to give us a japchae on the house too. Meat quality was good, the oyster pancake was incredible, the banchan was always promptly refilled, and the servers were all kind. I wish they could improve the ventilation since this place was smokier than most KBBQ places I've gone to, but maybe it's an added plus since I got to take home those delicious smells with me - along with a surprisingly small amount of leftovers.

Great KBBQ spot! Not AYCE but worth it and felt full after ( with leftovers too!) We came on a weekday and waited 20 mins or so. Cozy homey joint with friendly waiters! Got the KBBQ set for 2 but fed 3 girls and I eat a lot so that was surprising. We swapped out the bulgogi for galbi for an extra $10 and it was worth it.Plenty of banchan and want to come back to try their seafood pancake!

It's been so rainy in SF lately, it's made me crave Korean food! A friend recommended this place to me and I have to say I think it's one of my top 5 spots in the city! My friend and I were able to be seated immediately without a reservation around 6:15pm on a Monday. We barely beat a rush of large parties entering around 7 ( tho keep in mind it's the Monday before Thanksgiving, so there were a bunch of families). Everything was amazing! We ordered the 2 person tasting menu which comes with bulgogi, choice of spicy chicken or spicy pork ( recommend the pork) and spicy tofu soup, along with banchan and rice. They use real charchoal grills which I think adds flavor to the meats and the banchan was unlimited

We visited in august for with 2 friends visiting from LA and was just as delicious as last time. Our party of 4 left super content and full! Came here in September with a party of 8 for my brothers birthday and happy stomachs all around. The banchan was free to refill. We got there right at opening during dinner service on a Saturday. I recommend getting here early as the place quickly filled up and there was a line of people when we left.

Been thinking of all those places that I enjoyed before Yelp was born. And for whatever reason, but not due to bad experiences, I never returned. This is one on the top of the list.I remember coming here with my family as my parents introduced me to Korean cuisine in the city when coming here. This was likely in the '80's and I'm pretty sure that I haven't been back since the late '90's. I asked a couple of friends whether they were interested in coming here for an early Monday dinner. I was extremely lucky as a number of parking spaces were available right in front of the restaurant. We arrived just before their 5 pm opening time. We walked in and our lady greeter who would also wait on us asked us to wait a short while as she organized to open. She asked our table to preference so we chose a table across from the cashier counter. As we studied and discussed the menu, we quickly agreed on the4-person tasting menu, served with rice https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=6eVv-IUD6ectZpdByFDXZg&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q() and banchan (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=jwdySCB61P3zWB5asNklsA&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q) for $144; not wanting to have to cook, we asked them to cook our meats in the kitchen. This meal includes the following:Kalbi, tender BBQ short rib marinated in special house sauce (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=4ETY8i-2WKozdhC-sNpODw&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q) - My favorite protein of the night, both texturally and flavor wise.Bulgogi, tender BBQ ribeye marinated in special house sauce (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=AbTRjnIJ3WZNTqw3v82hUQ&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q) - This was also excellent though, not cooking it ourselves over the charcoal grill left it with no char.Chicken, BBQ grilled chicken marinated in special house sauce (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=h2dRK8Z9o9-nFqO_CYMFig&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q) - Also tasty, pieces of boneless chicken pieces that were tender and not dry at all.Japchae noodles, lightly sauteed vermicelli noodles (made with sweet potato) with beef and vegetables (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=bsyMKYnXQI2TaU9_O8PL_g&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q) - Stir fried with plenty of mushrooms (my fave), this went well with the other menu items.Spicy tofu soup, requested medium spicy, tofu soup in beef broth with beef and vegetables (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=EvmKrIp8CjcEZF5MUE2xjQ&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q) - Coming in a stone pot, this was warning for the cooling Richmond evening. We each had two bowls with me finishing a final half bowl. This pairs well with the provided bowl of rice.Though there are no real instructions or logisticsvij eating K BBQ, we dove in by exercising our chopstick skills in rotating and eating the variety of food on the table. The only tip for the inexperienced is using the provided lettuce, gojuchang, and banchan in making a wrap, with bulgogi (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=5VFLaPHPD7DSltVzB2ER_Q&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q), in my case. The banchan is AYCE so don't hesitate to ask for refills.About halfway through the meal, I noticed the dining room was full, save for two tables; and it still wasn't 6 pm yet. Our waitress, the gentleman at the counter, and a couple guys who helped clear our dishes and bowls besides bringing out the hot charcoal traps for grilling were both friendly and efficient in that family feel way. I really enjoyed our meal and experience as it dawned on me afterwards. The reason that our past trips weren't more numerous was there was often a standing line outside that usually discouraged more visits; there is a sign up sheet near the door if there is one. I understand that it is under "new" (relatively) ownership but they are certainly continuing the legacy well. Looking forward to coming again.

Amazing kbbq spot! Food is very tasty no wrong thing to order on the menu! Recommend ordering their tofu stew and their bulgogi at a minimum. Does get a little smoky inside so make sure to wear easily washable clothes!

I remember this place was here for the longest time and it's been ages since I last came. Super happy to finally try it again after all these years!4 person tasting menu (kalbi, bulgogi, spicy pork, japchae, spicy tofu soup) - 5/5, everything was so delicious! All the meat was very well marinated and tender. The charcoal grill gives it extra flavor. The japchae was perfectly chewy and generously seasoned. The tofu soup had lots of toppings and was one of the best tofu soup that I've had in the city.Seafood pancake - 5/5, super thick and packed with a bunch of seafood. All sides of the pancake were crispy! My friends loved it so much they ordered a second one!Would 100% recommend this place for charcoal kbbq. The meats are high quality and everything was just bursting with flavor.

I took my fencer boy to a lovely wood charcoal BBQ after session recently. He said it is best he had in a while. Any late teen raised in California would have an opinion on Korean BBQ. That is a fact. Post fencing tournaments meal for many of his Mteam events. So you have it. Best bbq in the city for young athletes. I tell him this was a popular spot back in my mid 20s. Before internet and online dating. You meet groups of well intentioned and educated young men through friends and then you go out to eat here as a group. Dubbed as Thursday Night Dinners. Girls dresses up. Men paid the bill. Hopefully through those lengthy self served BBQ sessions a lad or two catches your eye. It did happen for a few of us for a few months. Fickle minded young peeps. All we had left was the memory of good Korean cuts of beef. Gen Zers find this concept extremely appalling. You don't mix food with dating. Cooking beef and chicken requires undivided attention. Certainly not after you became sweaty and smoky. Not appealing locale for date nights. We loaded up on beef and chicken. Surprisingly large but controlled portions. I send pics of the meal to my BFF. He said he takes his kids there often when it had outdoor seating. Indoor smoke was a turn off . Verdict: food is good. Higher quality. Need to dress down. Or wash your hair and clothes right after. But worth the effort!
