I visited Bombay Street Food recently and, on the front desk person's recommendation, tried their Paneer Panini Sandwich. It didn't disappoint! For $15, the portion size was decent and filling. They bake it for about 20 minutes, as she mentioned, which gave it a nice crispy texture. The sandwich itself was flavorful -- crumbly paneer, grated Amul cheese, and a medley of beetroot, onion, cucumber, and tomato, all layered with multiple sauces and a sprinkle of chaat masala. My only minor complaint was the sweet chutney on one side, which was a bit overpowering in some bites, and perhaps a little less oil would have been nice. But hey, it's street food, so some indulgence is expected! The takeout experience was smooth -- they packed it neatly in a brown compostable box, and it was ready on time. They also had a tasting (or should I say "testing" as the board humorously read) for pani puri. I tried one, but it was pretty average, so I skipped ordering more. The ambience was fairly basic, with an open kitchen setup that's a bit of a double-edged sword. On one hand, the food tasted fresh and crunchy, but the space could use some aesthetic improvements to elevate the dining experience.Overall, I'm not sure why this place has a 3 star average. It definitely deserves at least 3.5 to 4 stars for the quality of food and friendly service. If you're in the area and craving some unique Indian flavors, the Paneer Panini is worth a try!Good number of parking spots available in the lot for free, this place is located near Apni Mandi and other popular eateries in Fremont.

Loved the Vada pav, bhel puri and Sabudana khichadi that we ordered. There aren't many people in staff and have just 3 people doing everything from cleaning, serving and cooking. Though they were short staffed, the service was great. The Vada pav was authentic with the dry garlic chutney and fried mirchi. Sabudana khichadi was very good too. Should have bought their chai instead of the place around the corner. Bhel puri's serving size was generous and it was very tasty too.Loved the old 80s songs that were playing and the tables were clean. Will definitely try this place out in future.

We went to this place after a late night movie. We came in close to late closing and there were just two employees. They are all in one employees ie they can clean , cook, take orders and anything else in between. In this mish mash there could be hits and n"misses. We were a large group and so they were under pressure to close and also serve. They did a decent job of accommodating all of us and getting us all fed and out of there. The food is good ie pav bhaji and chole. The name sake bombay sandwiches maybe something to be tried at a better time. Will try again at a different time.

Sandwiches here are awesome. Especially Bombay Grill and Vegetarian or Paneer Panini Sandwich. My husband likes Chicken Keema Curry here. Other food items are okay. Good place for a quick bite.Ambiance is okay. They serve food in paper plates so very street-food-ish. This is a self service place but sometimes they will bring your food to your table. People here are nice and helpful.

This place deserves a chance ; don't know why unfair ratings !!! Things I tried:panini sandwich, Egg Ghotado, frankie, Pav Bhaji. All are five stars !!! Really awesome food; and cool ambience. Worth to try out . Even restaurant owner gave complementary indian flavored roll-up ice cream and it was really yummy.

Terrible service and horrendous food in the name of Mumbai style street food. We tried chicken(with egg) keema pav which was mostly egg scramble with bits of chicken and more like a dry stir fry with one stale pav! Nobody serves keema pav with one pav only and too for $15. Next was chicken frankie which again had the same minced chicken with pieces of lettuce, carrot, tomato and falling apart wrap. My husband tried the pani puri and mentioned the filling tasted stale and just not flavorful. This is definitely not Mumbai style food and wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Went in last night with a couple of relatives, overall, the empty restaurant in an otherwise bustling complex should have warned us off, but it was the first of a few blunders we decided to endure at this establishment.Details-I got the "special" omelette, guy at the counter suggested it, granted he said it would be spicy, but I would like it- when it came out, the guy made sure that I took ONE napkin - ONE! and it was a fried egg sandwiched in Paav buns SOAKED and drenched in the vilest, burning with spice, grossest oily shit one can imagine, literally motor oil with ghost peppers and jungle voodoo spices, was nasty and had us choking.Admittedly, I do not have a high tolerance for spice, but my companions are proper OGs in downing HOT and spicy food, and even they could not keep a bite down.Anyway, when I approached the counter for feedback, I was told that "I told you it was spicy" - hmm, ok I guess, but Sir, you did not tell me it was gonna be "nuclear" lol. Anyway, just to get that shit taste out of my mouth (and since I was feeling extra stupid), I ordered the basic fried egg, that also comes out inside a paav bun, soaked in oil with as much flavor as an old newspapers, we should have cut our losses, but I guess we were having a night. My friends got paani puri, and vada paav, and there opinion of it was similar, as well as the attitude of the girl serving pani puri was rather insolent. I would not look at this restaurant anymore, and going by the looks of it, its not gonna be around for long anyway. I should have taken a picture of that shit fried

Average taste and pricey. Their speciality BSF omelette was a disaster - they just dropped a dollop of Chinese chili oil that killed whatever flavor they tried to bring in..Sam chaat, like it had 1 samosa. it was priced as though they had two... Ragada patty- same story, If it was flavorful, price would have been justified, but no...What a disappointment.

One has to be selective in their pickings. Frankie's, Paninis, Vada pav, bombay sandwich, dabha style food and all the puffs are great. It could be cheesy, oily etc but this is street food... not for the beach body types!!!
