Bodo must be the most well kept ramen secret in the Bay! Located inside a hidden, quiet shopping center, Bodo is a little hole in the wall. I stopped in on a Wednesday around noon and snagged the last table. Portions are MASSIVE- the ramen bowl was probably bigger than my head. I ordered the spicy miso ramen (spice level is selective: I went with extra spicy, it was more like a medium level). It came with an egg (2 halves), bamboo shoots, seaweed, corn, black mushroom, plenty of noodles, and perfectly cooked, melt-in-your-mouth chashu. Value is unmatched- my bowl of ramen was an affordable price compared to anywhere else in the Bay PLUS it came with free milk tea (AND I got a free dessert!). I did notice that the staff was speaking Mandarin with customers- this is not truly authentic Japanese food and you will notice a few abnormalities, however it is ultimately very well executed. I ordered: Spicy miso ramen [8/10]: Noodles were perfect- not too thin, thick, chewy, or soggy. The pork was melt in your mouth perfect. Well prepared tea eggs. Lots of toppings. Broth was good- not great, but not bad. Takoyaki [8/10]: Yummy! Good flavor. Unlike takoyaki that I've had elsewhere... the inside was almost liquified. Caught me off guard on the first bite. Definitely not authentic Takoyaki, but it was yummy. Very good price for the quantity. I paid: $24 ... couldn't finish it all, either!

The food was super okay. The miso ramen was decent and tasted fine but nothing stood out to me. It was very standard ramen. The sushi roll we ordered was not good I dont recommend it. The complimentary dessert was good though but the drinks were also just okay. The milk tea has a strong condensed milk taste without the sweetness, the lemon iced tea was good. The service was okay. Its order by QR code and then they deliver your food to your table. The atmosphere was very casual and lots of people were eating but I'm not sure if I would be back because nothing really stood out to me.

Went here because I was craving tsukemen. Ordering is via a scannable menu and I don't know if they have hard copy menus because I was able to navigate the online menu with no problems. After my Dad and I ordered the waiter reminded us that we were entitled to a free beverage. I asked for the milk tea which came sweetened and in a paper cup but was fine.Anyway, my tsukemen came with a lot of broth but not a lot of noodles. The noodles were accompanied by two thin pieces of cha shu pork, some bamboo shoots, two overdone egg halves, a square of seaweed, and a lemon wedge. Since the broth was already yuzu-flavored I thought that using the lemon wedge would be citrus overkill. The broth was nice, if on the thin side (thinner than Tsujita in L.A. for example) but the portion was large enough to retain its heat by the time I dunked all the ingredients.A small dish of almond jelly came as a free dessert.I was not offered any dashi broth to thin out my soup.Overall, slightly above average tsukemen for the South Bay. If I ever came back, I would definitely order extra noodles.

I love coming here for the ramen. I wouldn't say it's "the best" but it's the most reliable and convenient, location-wise. I like that they open pretty late and also offer complimentary tea and milk tea. In my most recent visit, they also gave dim sum sesame balls, which was such a nice treat!Their ramen is reasonably loaded with fixins and their broth creamy & flavorful, even the veggie one, and their portion sizes generous. There is a great selection of appetizers too.The vibe is a little cramped for me but not bad considering the convenience and value. If I have a hankering for ramen and don't want to go far, this is the spot for me!

This place can get packed! It has its peaks but the wait for 2 for Sunday lunch wasn't so bad. Must scan a QR code to order online. During lunch, I believe tea is free so def take advice of milk tea or regular! The ramen bowls are HUGE. The broth doesn't carry too much depth but isn't bad. The chicken karaage and katsu were both fried well. My favorite thing about this place was the fried garlic containers on the table! Definitely dunked a bunch on the ramen and ate separately for that extra crunch.

My friends and I recently were trying to find a place to have dinner in the Fremont area. We saw that Bodo Lucky Japanese restaurant had really good reviews so we stopped by. Most of the menu is pretty inexpensive and you can find entrees for as little as $13. Some of the items comes with complimentary milk tea which is a plus in my book because I absolutely love milk tea. But that was probably the only good thing about the menu.I ordered the crispy chicken with rice and it was really disappointing. It was dry and had no flavor. The soup that came with the dish had an off flavor that my friends didn't like also. Staff was very nice and the restaurant is really cute but my friends didn't really enjoy the dishes they ordered. One friend ordered the salmon bento box and another ordered the Bodo ramen. They both thought their entrees were okay. Maybe it was just an off day but we thought the food was just okay.

I liked the abundant food aspect but upon taste I was kind of disappointed that it wasn't as appealing as my eyes were seeing. Overall I was satisfied with curbing my hunger but wished it also tantalized my taste buds.

Service is good . Polite , friendly and efficient. We go in early for Sunday lunch so there are some tables available. If it is after 12:30 pm then we have to sign our names then stand in line . We love the stewed beef noodles with beef shank and beef tendon . The meat and tendon are cooked to just right , soft and flavorful. Today s broth is not as tasty as last time we came . I am not sure why. May be because I ask for mild spicy and the kitchen staff thinks I want a mild taste broth . The quality is vert generous and I need to ask for to go container . Free drink ( coffee , milk tea , lemon tea , etc ) and free almond pudding dessert comes with your meal. They have options to change my noodle to tofu noodle ( low carbohydrates) or to white noodle or other kinds . For the broth you can adjust the saltiness , oil , spicy , etc . It is located inside neighborhood parking lot so plenty of parking .

*LOCATION*This restaurant is in the corner of the plaza that used to house the 168 asian grocery market. There's plenty of free parking in the lot but it may get crowded during peak times. *WAIT TIME*We visited a few Wednesdays ago ~7:45pm and there was not wait for our party of two. We were told to use the QR code at the table to view the menu and place our orders. I appreciated that they tried to use images on the menu but they were not very good pictures! *FOOD*-Edamame: free if you check in on yelp! -Spicy miso ramen: huuuuuge bowl, lots of veggies, 2 halves soft boiled egg, broth was decent, fried garlic chips are at the table for self pour-Katsu curry: v crispy katsu, love that the curry sauce came in its own separate bowl, soup was included but not sure what kind (seemed kinda like ramen broth??)-Complimentary iced/hot tea with your entree :) -Complimentary almond dessert :)*SERVICE*Great and fast service! We didn't have to wait too long although there were several other tables dining at the same time. *AMBIENCE*This is a great place to get the best bang for your buck - big portions with complimentary drinks and dessert! The inside is clean and typical of an asian restaurant. We'll definitely be back to try some more items on the menu!

Bodo is always my go-to for ramen. We had a free chicken nuggets for appetizers, lemon tea for drinks and sweet gelatin for dessert. The service was fast and the servers are courteous. It has a family-friendly environment.
