Bob's Hoagy Steaks

Located in a small plaza off of Mission, this small corner hoagy place is definitely a new go to of mine! It seems to be a family owned restaurant with limited indoor seating good enough for small groups. Service was very friendly and made me feel welcomed!I ordered a to-go of the #2 Hoagy Steak small and it was just enough to fill up a hungry gal. The total came to ~$12 with tax. It may seem a bit pricey for some, but with inflation this seems to be the new norm. You definitely get what you paid for. The food was made to order so it was fresh when I received it. Meat was juicy and easy to chew. The portion size was great for something that was labeled as a small! I wish the fries were crispier, but that's more of a preference. Overall, great place to grab lunch or dinner.

Had the steak. Highly recommended. Great lunch spot. Parking is in short supply at lunch time. Still really good food!

This review is for the food. Haven't actually sat down to eat here. Food is always good and the prices are so affordable. Today I got just their cheesesteak. I normally get one with mushrooms or their hoagie. Any of these sandwiches are good. And it always comes with their steak fries. Good meat, cheese and bread.. what more can you ask for. And they aren't too heavy with the cheese so it's perfect for me.

If it was great, the service was fine. It wasn't too busy, but it was a few people in here. My food was good and the ambience is cool as well. They have a TV playing with the World Series so that was awesome and my granddaughter had a day out, Big up to Bob hoagies, and they also gave my granddaughter a lollipop for Halloween

I didn't intend on getting a hoagie today. I was starving after shopping and said I'll stop by Burger King on mission for something quick. But as I was pulling into the driveway to Burger King- I saw a sign saying HOAGIES. After seeing the sign I said I must go there. My BK will prolly cost as much as that hoagy and the hoagy is gonna take ten times better. After parking I noticed this little hoagy shop is nestled in the corner- a total mom and pop shop, a total hole in the wall. So anyhow the young girl taking my order was sweet and food was ready quick. Normally, I go to San Carlos for hoagies, but now I found a new spot closer to home. Absolutely amazing.

My husband has been coming here for over 30 years and this place never disappoints. Love the mushroom and Mexicana cheese steaks and everything is made fresh to order. I also have to mention how friendly the staff is. I've been told this has stayed in the family for that long and the inside is incredibly CLEAN!

Been coming here for a very long time and never disappoints.The food is very freshly made and tastes like perfection. Staff is super friendly and is always smiling. He always make sure you come in and out with a smile on your face! The atmosphere is alway incredibly bright and beaming!! Cooks are very fast at cooking and food comes out beautifully. Still my #1 place to go.

My son and I were blown away by the great food and great folks that run this nondescript establishment in Hayward. Really the only reason was their Fremont location had closed down, permanently unfortunately. So, for old time's sake I brought my son to see if the sandwiches are as good as we remembered them back in Fremont. And YES THEY WERE!! As for the owners...well, one in a blue moon, owners live up to the privilege and do what good owners do: provide good, honest customer service that makes you ask, "why don't other people get it??" This family GETS IT! They inadvertently left mayo on my sandwich whereas I had asked for none. I got it, noticed it, and thought no big deal. In fact when the owner realized it, he came over and apologized and offered to give me a whole new sandwich, to which I immediately said absolutely not, no big deal because it wasn't. As we were leaving, this guy hands me a freshly prepared sandwich, without mayo and says to me "for tomorrow..." I know, you're wondering why am I making a big deal out something that seemingly isn't?? I'll tell you why, I literally can't remember the time when someone took the time to not only acknowledge a mistake, let alone try and make it right. And I'm like a 100 years old, so that's a long darn time, which is a sad testament of today's small business landscape. These are the kinds of businesses we all should be supporting with all of our hard earned dollars for 2 simple reasons:1. The food is so f-ing good; AND2. These folks deserve itCiao, and Chow!!

Overpriced underwhelming food. Maybe I shoulda got a hoagie but I saw the teriyaki short ribs which I got with fries and a side salad which came to over $22 2 tiny short ribs were okay but they don't have teriyaki sauce for them and the rest was wack. Save yourself from this place
