Our first time going to the Blind Butcher and it did not disappoint! Vibes are good, the playlist was on point , and the staff was great! Our waiter was friendly and made sure our bottomless mimosas were always full. The food was really great too! The burger was the star of the show as it was soo flavorful and juicy. What was the most surprising out of all the food, was the two sides( salad and the cut potatoes. They were so flavorful for such simple things. Would love that recipe for both ! The eggs were the most lack lusting out of all the food but it was still yummy regardless. Will be coming back soon.

My friend who was visiting from Bali told me she was craving a good steak. So I decided to use my Yelp searching skills to find a steak place and I found this spot that is close from her Airbnb. We walked in and the restaurant is so cute, we really loved the interior. We were sat at our table, and were met by the nicest bar tender ever. She was beautiful and so sweet. She had this cute clip on her that I loved with the statement," Sorry if I seem mean, I'm just overloaded."The food was phenomenal and we were so surprised. We both said it was one of the top steaks we've tried and I told my husband we will definitely come visit again!

I wished I went to our usual Niku instead but I made these reservations literally last minute. I was wondering how this place tasted because I've heard good things about it. My husband got the ribeye which I recommend if you come here. We liked the salad and the calamari. The short rib was just ok. The cocktail my husband got, $15, called Castro has barely any alcohol in it. Just tasted like juice. Super sweet. We felt rushed out of the restaurant. I asked my husband were there a lot of people waiting. The waitress was just trying to get people in and out to make more tips although I think she needs to be more professional and not so direct about it. I respect the hustle though. While we were eating our appetizer, the waitress asked if we were ready for the entree. We said yes. Then a few minutes later she was standing with our entrees and attempted to put down the plate when there was no room on the table. I kind of felt forced to give her my unfinished salad I was still working on. I picked up my plate so she can put the 2nd entree down. She said I could finish my salad but how? While I'm holding the plate? Girl whaaaat. Then about 15-20 minutes into our entrees, she comes back, ask how we are doing and asked if we needed boxes. That was weird, we didn't say we were ready to go home. We said we liked the food but we needed more time to eat. Our reservation was at 5:30PM and we left at 6:45PM. We felt rushed. For a $200 meal we shouldn't have felt this way. If you're the owner and reading this, check the receipt and date stamp. My husband's name is Vu. We took the food home to go and ate it at home. This place was fine but there's plenty of other places in the city.

The best lamb I've had in a long time, I had to get 2 orders. The lamb lollipops and mashed potatoes made a great combo for a filling yet light dinner. And the bartender went out of their way to use fresh jalapeño in a spicy martini that wasn't even on the menu. It was my second time there and it left me wanting to come back for more. The ambiance is more of an upbeat, loud, fast moving restaurant.

Finally crossed off the list I've had Blind Butcher on my list for sometime now and couldn't be a better occasion to celebrate the holidays. Note: make reservations Ready get set go! You have 90minutes to eat and chat. Service was on point and atmosphere was a vibe, especially in the Castro district. With SF not being really safe these days, I felt the Castro was the safest place in the city. The street was filled with laughter and patrons all over the partying it up.Anyhoot back to Blind butcher, a friend happened to recommend what they people were getting in back of us... which was the Butchers board filled with a board of lobster Mac and cheese, ribeye, filet mignon, rack of lamb, octopus, calamari, shishito peppers, creamy mushrooms, toasted ciabatta, and butcher potatoes. Will take 3 old fashions and the butcher's board please. I can tell you this, when our food came out, my mouth drop of all the protein I was going to eat tonight lmfao! I will tell you it was worth every penny! Totally impressed that the lobster Mac was delicious and I don't like Mac and cheese. The steaks were delicious and cooked to perfection. Octopus was uber tasty along with the crispy calamari. I would definitely come back!Thank you

Nothing fancy, but solid restaurant :) Our server Josh was very nice and attentive! We got the 16 oz Ribeye, Roka salad, and mashed potatoes! Everything was delicious! The mashed potato is a must if I come back! The ambiance was pleasant and location is right in the Castro (the very clean part of Castro ^__^) parking was easy around the neighborhood! Happy Valentine's Day !

Always a great time at Blind Butcher! There's great service and food. Their cuts of meat are well seasoned and largely portioned. Huge selection of appetizers and wines to pair. FYI it's pretty dim inside and the music is loud. Only street parking is available and can be tricky during dinner hours.

Come for: the ribeye, great drinks, great serviceKnow that: parking can be challenging, reservations over 5 require calling (and they almost never pick up)I came on a Sunday night with a group of 5. We couldn't get a reservation since no one answered the phone despite calling about 6 times over 2 days. The biggest downside. When we arrived, we waited an hour at the bar. The drinks were great - get the old fashioned - and the bartender friendly and knowledgable. When we finally got seated, our server walked us through the menu. I settled on the ribeye and did not regret it. The ribeye comes with chimichurri and rosemary, salt, and paprika on the side. It was cooked a perfect medium rare. Juicy, tender, and flavorful! I would say this is among the best ribeyes I've had all year.We also had brussel sprouts, mushrooms, abd mashed potatoes as sides and they were all pretty good. My favorite were the mashed potatoes.Overall, I definitely enjoyed my dinner here and would come back for the ribeye. I just wish they would pick up the phone to make group reservations easier. M

My oh my the scrumdiliumptious steak that blind butcher has is heavenly! When I came to blind butcher it was a lovely experience where the inside of the restaurant is dimly lit giving romantic dark tavern vibes and the waiters were very friendly. For food, we decided to order the sliced steak medium rare which some with seasoned potatoes/chimichuri sauce, and a side of fried calamari. The steak was melt in your mouth buttery and seasoned to perfection, and the calamari was equally as buttery and flakey. I highly recommend blind butcher for delicious buttery steak!

We got the lamb lollipops and truffle fries to start. Truffle fries were amazing, lamb was ok- not worth $22. The steak was phenomenal! Made the whole meal worth it. Overall 4 stars for great steak, service was fine but took awhile to get orders even after asking multiple times.
