Long overdue review: We love Birdie's! I come here quite often with coworkers for lunch or happy hour. It's a great casual spot to grab a bite to eat even if you're not golfing (ME)! I definitely come for the company and a place to chill and be left to ourselves. It's tucked up the hill from the main part of the Stanford campus, and while it is a popular spot for the golf course, you can reserve a table for a big group, or walk-in and get easily seated, especially if you go slightly before peak lunch hour. I've shared a bunch of the Snacks (fries, wings, onion rings, nachos, guacamole, quesadilla, shrimp cocktail), and they're all alright. I will always get their garlic fries to share, even if no one else wants it! For the main dish, the Burger and Cod were decent, and would recommend no cheese in the Cod sando. I religiously get their Cucumber Cooler for a non-alcoholic beverage.Ordering is by QR code/Toast, for yourself or the group. The service has been pretty solid and everyone's always nice. I'm not a golfer but I enjoy the vibe here, both inside and on the patio.

As a lover of all things golf course food, Birdies is a hole in one! Elevated bar food, meets the golf course. You'll find classics like burgers, tuna melts, club sandwiches, and even pimento cheese dip (which is delicious). For our mains we split a club sandwich ($15.95) and a tuna melt ($18.95). As you can tell by the photos, they don't skimp on anything. It's really enough food for two meals, and the fries and onion rings, we crushed them while they are hot. All the ingredients tasted super fresh, the bread was perfectly crunchy on both sandwiches. I think for the quality and amount of food you get, the pricing is really reasonable, especially in Palo Alto. For drinks we went with the espresso martinis, and they were delightful and reasonable priced at $13.95. Located at the Stanford golf course, this definitely a hidden spot. If you know, you know. If you enjoy elevated bar food or golf course food in general, it's worth checking out!

My friend and I stopped here for lunch and loved it! A very casual but nice atmosphere (I was worried about what to wear, but plenty of people were wearing jeans, shorts, etc in addition to all of the golf outfits). I had the burger and my friend had the patty melt. The food came out quickly and our server was wonderful! Everything was fresh and delicious. Looking forward to coming back soon!

I just got a chips and dip at the express. It was pretty tasty and packaged neatly but I found it fairly good. The quantity was not big.The service was quick and they accept Google Pay it quick and it was extremely conveniently located at the driving range where my kid got hungry so it was very needed. Water costs money though.I did see their menu and not many veggie options at the express. I'd definitely like to go try their main location.

I love Birdie's! I have eaten here several times now; the food is always delicious and service always prompt and friendly. Ambiance is lovely-- classy yet casual, inviting and vibrant. Lots of great appetizers-- the spinach and artichoke dip is a highlight, as well as the guacamole and pimento cheese dips. Breakfast burrito is very tasty and perfect to take on the course. The Big Cheeseburger is one of the best I've had, cooked to order with delicious seeded roll. The Birdie Burger was also good but the Big Cheeseburger for only $5 more is definitely worth it. Great selection of cocktails, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages. The menu is quite large and diverse, so there is a lot I'm looking forward to trying in the future.

I really wanted to like this new restaurant. I found it bland and the menu is pretty generic with the usuals like club sandwich, burger, and plain salads where you have to add on $5 for protein on top of the $15 for the salad. The fontina cheese was really good in the spinach artichoke dip. But the chips were hard and cold, I would have thought they would freshly fry them and come out hot and crispy. The grilled vegetables were good but the onions were cut inconsistently and cooked differently. Very few vegetarian options. Please consider adding a grown up grilled cheese, a farmers market salad (instead of the usual chopped salad and caesar), and a tomato soup - they had carrot cream for the soup of the day which sounded so sweet. No one came to greet us when we walked in - we had to find the server. Then we asked to order but had to wait again. It feels like their servers aren't trained well on the specials, seating people as they walk in, and bringing the check (we just sat there until we could flag someone down). The views are amazing and it's a really nice spot.

Recently Held my wife's 60th surprise birthday party on the club house patio. A beautiful setting, overlooking the 18th green. Jeremy (the owner) sat down with with me a couple of months in advance to decide on the menu, and wine/beer list. Cost was very reasonable, and the service was top notch. The staff was very friendly and professional, and the food excellent. Thanks Birdies for making this special occasion one to remember.

Food: Standard issue bar food. Nothing too fancy but good basic lineup. Service: Young and inexperienced servers, learning and making efforts, working hard but misses things. Friendly but needed to be told several times to get one thing. They were loud visiting with each other at the bar area. Ambiance: peaceful, roomy, somewhat historical, clean but nothing to wow. Nothing special or outstanding but decent food, not a nasty service and decent ambiance,

I went there to celebrate a colleague's retirement. Nice area but felt a bit chilly (late afternoon setting, but a great venue for hot summer day(?)). Servers were not as friendly as I wished and their pour seems to want to save wine and extend each bottle (maybe the host limited the bottles). I was not crazy about the wine selection. I don't remember seeing beer tap or they were limited- Domestic only. Finger food was cold so I mostly stuck with chips and salsa, which were OK - not the best Taqueria. I would not go there and pay my money . But, enjoyed celebrating the retirement gathering.
