Big Daddy's Hawaiian BBQ

Not sure why this place only has a few reviews but I have to say, I'm pretty pleased with my coconut shrimp order tonight with rice and mac on the side. So bomb! I had it delivered & it came it the best container so nothing spilled anywhere. It was just enough food to leave me satisfied but not uncomfortably full.Btw, the picture was taken after I started eating hence the shrimp tails! Hahaha!

Ordered takeout and got a large Hawaiian BBQ chicken plate and regular BBQ Steak plate. I couldn't really see a significant difference in portions between the two, but it was a substantial amount of food. My favorite was actually the rice and Mac salad. Unfortunately, both meats were disappointing. Both were overcooked and tough to chew. Tried the spicy special sauce (think spicy thousand island) and Hawaiian bbq sauce (think sweet tonkotsu sauce). I'm glad to have it as the meat needed it.Overall, I probably wouldn't order from here again given the poor experience with the meat.

This was the worst hawaiian food experience I have ever had. I'm Samoan and Hawaiian. First off, the food has literally no taste to it. Like it was cooked in water or something? The Mac salad is not Mac salad at all. It's Cole slaw with some macaroni. It can't see this being traditional or even modern Hawaiian food. Who is making this menu? The most upsetting thing is the portions. This is supposed to be a large plate. A $20 plate. What you pay for is a plate of rice. It came with 5 small pieces of chicken. The meat is such a thin layer of meat on top of cabbage to make it look full and then probably on top of about 5 scoops of rice. Do not eat here. This is not authentic or anything relative. It's bland. The sauces don't do anything. They are skimpy with everything but rice.

It was late and was starving. everything is closing and realized this spot is still open. It was convenient and available, and i am always a fan for Hawaiian food!. And thought its clean. So we decided to try them for the first time and pick up a couple of bbq combo plates with a side of rice and macaroni salad. we didn't wait long for our order to be prepared and it came fresh and smelling delicious. when we started eating we thought the bbq was made good and marinated well, it paired perfectly with the rice but we were not fans of the macaroni salad, thought it needed more flavor. But overall it was satisfying and it definitely hit the spot. Will try them again another time for sure.

I door dashed an order of the fried chicken plate from this restaurant. The food was really good. It was still crunchy when it arrived and I was pleasantly surprised w/ my first experience BUT, the reason for my 3 stars is because of the size/quantity for the price. $15 plate, and there were literally 4 pieces of chicken. I do not think that amount of food should cost that much. It's too bad because the food was delicious.

Ordered BBQ slow cooked pork (regular) in Grubhub with a side of broccoli. Packing was excellent. The pork tasted quite good, however it was a bit dry. Still it had nice flavor. The BBQ sauce it came with was cold and tasted too sweet. I didn't want to put cold sauce on the pork (which was lukewarm) so I didn't use it. The rice tasted good, and had nice garnish. The Mac salad was good, not too much mayo flavor which is good. The broccoli was a bit under cooked. They could roast it more. In the picture they put it was slightly browned and it really was not all it was kind of crunchy and slightly raw. It had a nice flavor though but they need to cook it more. Also broccoli could use a bit more salt. In terms of pricing and portion size, the portions were small. They gave about a cup or broccoli for $4, which is not much considering broccoli is very cheap. The plate was $14 which is not bad. However they placed the pork on top of rice, so it looks like more than it is. Really it's about 100g pork which is not much, since pork costs just a couple dollars per pound usually. That gives about 27 G protein which is not much. Since I ordered in Grubhub (with free delivery) the total before tip was $23.55. So I would say it's a bit overpriced for the portion size. I recommend they allow you to sub sides like no rice sub broccoli or salad because I don't like eating too much rice as it's not too healthy and I think a lot of people do the same, so I ended up throwing out the rice and eating with broccoli. Replacing the side of rice (not the rice under the meat) with broccoli gives around 550 (guesstimate) calories which is a good portion size but not excessive. This excludes the sauce which is probably packed with sugar. So this could be a good option for a smaller meal. I suggest the restaurant post nutrition info, which really isn't too difficult since they have a small menu, would be good for those of us trying to watch what we eat. Overall I give it 3 stars. Food is good but portions are small for the price, broccoli is undercooked and options are limited. It's almost a 4 star. This isn't to say I wouldn't go back, but it definitely needs improvement. It's a new restaurant so hopefully they will improve. I would try it again in the future. Keep in mind prices may change this review is March 19, 2024.

A business owner contacted me and I need to say that while it is nice to be acknowledged. I just wish it was for different circumstances. It is too late for me since nothing is desirable about the food,the service that packed the food for delivery and for service charges for a lot of very random services which I don't know what most are. DoorDash is also getting ridiculous with their surcharge on things which makes it double aggravating. I must thank you for contacting me but I will never go back to ordering again. It's too wasteful and there's no guarantee on anything except me losing my money, time and energy

Quality is good, had a bit of spicy zing. Ghost kitchen/doordash place with minimal interior/parking. You order ahead and then check in at a kiosk and the food appears on a locker.

Ordered through uber eats. Disgusting food. Mixed in old chicken that was disgusting and the Macaroni salad is awful. Not even real Hawaiian Macaroni Salad. It was like some Safeway macaroni salad.I ordered 4 large plates. Ended up throwing away 2 of the plates because they were just disgusting and inedible.1st time ordering. And last time unfortunately.

L&Ls is way better. Big Daddy's is part of a cloud kitchen. I ordered a large with double rice. I got the exact same amount of food that the little plates gave me EXTREEEMEELLLY DISSAPPOINTED. Why charge so much more for a large and get no difference?I got the fire sauce.... Even more disappointing. It was not spicy at all. Even my 1 year old could eat the fire sauce, that's how bad it was.
