This place was awesome. Would give it 10 stars. Great environment. Cool local spot. Nice overall vibe. Staff was super friendly and loved the convos. Great suggestions on food and drinks. Food would keep me coming back alone. Calamari, bread, pizza, pasta. We had it all. It was superb. And of course the cocktails. Super delicious. I wish I lived in SF just to come back here

initially we were quite excited bc we had made a reservation here to celebrate a birthday and the ambience was quite lively when we walked through to our table. however, our experience felt dampened as we continued w our night here. we got the herb onion bread and the caesar salad for the table. herb onion bread was decent. caesar is made with whole leaves which is not bad - just something to note as it was not a good shareable. the pizza was good at first bite but then fell flat. it felt room temp, as if it was sitting out for awhile. we had quite a variety, and none were really that outstanding. most notably, the service felt cold here. we never got checked on and whenever we did want something, we had to continuously search for our server who was nowhere to be found. when we would finally spot him, it would take so long to get his attention as he never even looked at our table - quite frustrating, especially as we were celebrating a bday, that we left without even ordering dessert. all in all, a disappointing experience. im not sure if we just came on an off day, but theres a lot of better italian spots which i would frequent in sf.

I came here for a dinner with my team, and it was a perfect spot to eat and chat. We came around 5:10pm, and there was still many tables empty. We got a reservation, but we could have easily walked in and found a seat. By 6pm, tables started to fill up. Ambience: Good service, food came out quickly. I did wish they came by to refill out waters. Pizza: The margherita pizza was spectacular. The clumps of cheese melt on the hot pizza & it taste delicious when I spread it out as a thin layer over the sauce. The crust was extremely crispy and thin. Appetizers and Antipasti: GET THE WALNUT BREAD! It was my favorite plate of the night. The burrata and other flavors on the slice of bread was just the perfect small bite. It comes with 4 slices, just enough for everyone to try one or half. Drinks: Pretty typical flavors & prices.Dessert: The chocolate ice cream had a delicious sprinkle/drizzle of honey on top! Perfect to share. Overall, I give it a 4/5 because it's pretty typical for another delicious $$/$$$ Italian restaurant in the city. Nothing crazy unique.

Perfect place for a date night! My partner and I came here for valentines day and loved the ambiance of the restaurant. It was dimly lit with enough ambient lighting that it didn't cause any strain on my eyes. The servers were attentive and refilled our waters multiple times throughout the date despite it being so busy. Now onto the food! I was blown away by how everything tasted! My favorite bite has the be the parpadelle. The pasta was cooked to a perfect al dente. The sauce was so flavorful! The pork sugo was fall apart tender and the fatties of it was infused into the sauce. It was absolutely perfect! The pizza tasted amazing but I was not happy with how everything slipped off when I go to pick a slice up. The sauce, cheese, and toppings would slide onto my plate leaving the floppy crust only. The meatballs were incredibly juicy! So sad that there was only two per order. Lastly was the tiramisu, it was good but not the best I've had! For $10 I was expecting a bigger portion. Overall a great experience, I definitely recommend the parpadelle if you go!

I was deciding between dinner at Nopa or here before a concert at The Independent--should've gone with Nopa. I had a 6:00 PM reservation for three but arrived at 6:30 PM due to rain and traffic from the East Bay. I didn't even mention my reservation, but the host asked, then immediately told me he had already given up our table since there's only a 10-minute grace period. Yeah, I know. What bothered me was the complete lack of apology or empathy--just a cold "we only have bar seating."Service was mid and honestly, the whole experience felt like they prioritize drinks over food. My cocktail was decent in size and temperature but lacked flavor, and while the bartender's pizza had a nice kick and was served hot, we came hungry and barely had space to eat properly. It's convenient for a pre-show stop, but I wouldn't come back. Plenty of other places in the area actually make guests feel welcome.

Celebrated my friend's birthday with a weeknight dinner at Beretta on Divisadero. Pretty easy to make a reservation the day before and it's in a good location, both groups were able to take public transportation from different parts of the city to the restaurant. It's a dimly lit and intimate space with chic yet cozy vibes. Hostess was standoffish and not very welcoming, she ended up as our waitress as well. The service seems to be lacking from what I've read from other reviews as well. Food came out shortly after ordering, and we started with the walnut bread with burrata and truffle honey on top. This was to DIE for, it was honestly the highlight of the meal for me. The bread is hearty and holds up to the generous topping of creamy burrata and a sweet and earthy truffle honey. We split the funghi misti pizza, the featured hot salami pizza, cacio e pepe, and seafood linguini. The pizzas were really good, with a thin crust that didn't flop under the weight of the generous toppings. I liked the hot salami more out of the 2 pizzas, gonna miss this when it gets switched off the menu. The seafood linguini was a lot better than the cacio e pepe, the tomato sauce was nicely spicy, seafood was all cooked perfectly, and noodles had a great chew. The cacio e pepe was lacking flavor and did not stand out at all, it definitely needed more cheese and less cream. Ended the night with a tiramisu and candle on the house, which was a nice touch. Really reasonable receipt of $170 for 4 people including a $20 corkage. Overall, come for the walnut bread, pizza, and nice aesthetics, but don't expect friendly five-star service.

Eh. Pass. The place has a great and diverse clientele in a cute and great area of San Francisco. The build out is really great for the city. Front doors are amazing. That's where it stops. Host is cold and not friendly. Service cold and not friendly. Food delivery cold and not friendly. Plus my group, happy smiley people. San Francisco and Northern California people come on. Everywhere you go people are at the least nice. So that is horrible. Ok back to some good. Onion faco bread delicious. Margarita pizza was just ok but I liked the spice on the bartender pizza. But we've had better pizza easily. Brussel sprouts are wet and flavor is gross. But the breaded potions pizza and bread good. Not great but good. I was shocked how busy the place got with such mediocre food and to be blunt cold cold cold not engaging not happy service. Will not be going back but thank you for feeding us while it was raining.

The gold standard for consistently quality Italian food and tasty drinks with excellent service to boot in SF. The caeser salad and the pappardelle pasta were excellent. I'm usually a sucker for the meatballs and pizza as well.Excellent vibe and music as well. Sat at the bar and the happy hour prices were actually very reasonable! Always a favorite

We've been back several times and in the past found the host to be rather unpleasant although we enjoyed the food. The place isn't large but nicely organized with good amount of tables. This time the host and guy behind the bar were all friendly and cheery. We ordered a fungi pizza, Caesar salad, and lasagna bolognese. We liked them all but especially the pizza and salad!

I went here for the first time. There was about 7-8 of us. It's best to reserve a table ahead of time as it gets packed. Also, parking is really tough. I would suggest taking an Uber, Lyft, etc... The inside was nice & clean. It was a little dark; hence, great place for a date. The hosts were really nice. The food was good. We family styled most of our food. The burrata pizza was amazing. I highly recommend; however, it took about 30-45 mins. I had to ask to make sure it was still coming. Our waiter was great; but once it got busy, he seldom stopped by our table to see how things were. Other than that, I would recommend this place.
