Bay Sushi

Bay Sushi has been one of my favorite sushi spots for the longest time. The freshness, authenticity, and exceptional service set it apart. I've learned my lesson--never again will I gamble on a random sushi place because, compared to Bay Sushi, nothing else comes close. I truly appreciate the integrity and authenticity in how this restaurant is run. If you're looking for the best sushi experience, Bay Sushi comes highly recommended!

Great place to get a no frills sushi fix!I've found that good sushi in the Cupertino/Sunnyvale area is hard to come by, so this discovery was a pleasant surprise. I got takeout from them.Parking: Easy and plentiful--in a strip mall.Service: I had friendly serviceFood: The rolls were quite good! The California roll seemed to be real crab which is more and more rare these days!Overall, I would recommend if you're in the Sunnyvale area and are looking for an easy sushi place. It's by no means luxury, but it does the job! Would definitely go back again.

Came by for lunch the other day and it was a decent experience. Bay Sushi is a Korean-owned sushi restaurant featuring Korean staff and a Gen Z waiter wearing a mask.Service was on par with a small mom and pop shop with no silly credit card, health mandate, or mandatory service charges like in SF.Started off with the soft shell crab and it was lightly fried and served with a side of soy sauce.The shrimp tempura appetizer came with some tempura vegetables along with a dipping sauce too. These were lightly fried and tasty.The dragon roll was good, and a thinner version with shrimp tempura and unagi on the inside and avocado on the ouside.The restaurant is air conditioned to a warm 78F.~$28/head after tax and gratuity for lunch

Over the years, I've been going to this particular sushi restaurant I've always enjoyed my experience! There was a new server, a lady that waited on my family and I tonight, and she was very sweet and helpful. I'm allergic to MSG/monosodium glutamate so sadly I cannot have any sushi with their sauces on the rolls..... yet this particular restaurant is always accommodating and helpful with putting sauces on the side or letting me know what items are prepared, or potentially meats are marinated in beforehand.This particular night I wasn't too hungry, so I just ordered the Gigante roll, which was delicious and fresh with roe fried salmon! I got my classic favorite Hollenbeck roll also and that one's deep-fried as well. Lol anything fried is better! Lol.Since it's summer, my mom and I thought we would have some thing light and not too heavy to eat. Lol she ended up ordering four different rolls because she couldn't decide which ones to eat. Lol as we played catch-up, the server came and let us know that they closed at 8:30 PM. Lol we had no idea it was so bright outside. We thought it was around 7 PM! It was actually 8:35 PM! We both felt Slightly embarrassed because we didn't know they were closing and I hope we didn't keep them from shutting down sooner. Lol I will definitely be back here after year and for more sushi rolls! Hee

This is my family's go-to sushi place, it's super close by and the service is friendly and food delicious! I love the two item bento, it's a large portion of food and you can choose from quite a few different items. Their rolls are good as well, and they're always willing to omit any ingredients/toppings that might not be your favorite. Cozy spot with decent seating, we usually get takeout though.

Cozy sushi place with warm service.They have pretty unique sushi rolls! The North & South roll was deep fried and served Agedashi style. Everything was cooked in this one, so I'd recommend this for people who don't prefer raw fish.The Red Dragon roll was solid when you're craving American style sushi.I'd love to come back and try more!

The people here are all super friendly and the sushi is very good and reasonably priced. I have only ordered takeout but from what I can tell the ambience is great as well, very clean and quiet whenever I've gone inside.

Dear Bay Sushi,I hope this letter finds you well. My mom and I love sushi, and we go about once a month to get the yummy fish. Since I moved into Sunnyvale, this place has been one of my go-to sushi restaurants, and the quality of your food has never disappointed. However, I enjoy restaurants that have cool decorations and have care and love ingrained into their restaurant. A considerable number of restaurants are not like that and don't give off good vibes. Bay Sushi is not one of those restaurants. However, it would benefit more if they added a couple of items such as chairs and lanterns around the restaurant to enhance the experience of the customer.While I love the effort you put into your sushi and overall restaurant, some parts of it could have more . In my last visit to your restaurant, the sushi was excellent as it always is, but I feel like the wall on the right side of your restaurant lacks decor. Only the left wall has lights and it feels inconsistent. Both walls should have lights on the side because only one wall has lights. Another option to improve the restaurant is that you should invest in a TV and put it where the clock is because a television is better than a fancy clock. If Bay Sushi could do even one of my suggestions, I promise it would benefit greatly!Even though Bay Sushi may not be the fanciest restaurant in Sunnyvale, I sure think that it could at least be one of the best because great sushi paired with great style can only mean great things! We came here years ago when I was growing up, and I always had fond memories of the place. We just returned for the first time in quite a while and will certainly be back soon. The decor is cute, the staff is friendly, and everything tasted flavorful and fresh!
