Pretty delish grilled chicken banh mi! The staff were friendly and it was quick to order. The food came out relatively fast. The portion size was decent, but I wished they packed more meat in the sandwich! It tasted good, a standard banh mi!It was also very quiet inside, and there were plenty of tables to eat at!

This place used to be my go to spot for a quick lunch break, but I might just go to lee's sandwich from now on.The past two times I've been here, Banh Mi Oven takes 20 minutes to make a banh mi. It's ridiculous. The sandwiches are fine for $10.50, but the wait time doesn't make sense.

I would rate this place as 2.5 Ordered delivery today and I was very disappointed. The baked chicken sandwich was made with dry white meat, the bbq pork sandwich was tasty but included chunks of fat, and the summer rolls were made with dry char sui pork instead of the grilled pork in the description. The Thai tea was solid, and plain white rolls fresh.

This is a hard review because the my banh mi sandwich was delicious but the inside of this establishment could use a lot of help. There was definitely an odor problem from plumbing or something and the interior of the restaurant does not really look like the pictures posted. Its definitely much rougher looking and the tables were not clean etc. They need to give a little caring love in this place to turn this around. As for the service, it was very friendly and fast.

We came here around 6 pm because I was craving for some Banh Mi and I didn't want to drive to Alum Rock but I guess I should've.There were 2 employees when we got there and not a hello or anything from them and just pointed at the kiosk. I'm not sure if it's a language barrier or not but I didn't mind ordering at the kiosk. As we were waiting for our order the place looked eerie, with dim lights, and the place almost looked like a run-down store and we saw a few flies flying around the kitchen. I'm not sure if it's because we got here late or what and I was kinda skeptical about it but I was really hungry and they were already making our order. The food was OK, the bread was stale, and the meat and veggies were surprisingly well-seasoned. We also got the Hongkong Milk Tea and Coconut Milk and they were good. A bit disappointed that I paid $12 for a stale banh mi and but at Duc Huong it's only $8 and still get the best sandwich any time of the day. With that being said, I probably won't come back and rather drive to other place.

A colleague and I came for lunch on a Thursday and this place was empty. We ordered ahead for pickup about 20minutes before arriving at the restaurant and the process was efficient. I ordered the Cold Cut Combo ($10) and a Peach Ice Tea ($6.95). Not the most authentic banh mi I've had, but it's good enough. The sandwiches come cut into 2 halves so that's nice in the event you wanted to save the other half for later. Service is non-existent. There was a younger gentleman working solo when we visited and he appeared to be a bit frazzled even though there was no lunch rush. There is plenty of seating inside, but no one was dining in when we visited. I'm sure this place gets busy when SJSU is in session as it's literally across the street. We walked as our office is located in DTSJ, but there is a garage with free 90-minute parking next to this restaurant, along with street parking.

Came in around 4pm for some late lunch. It wasn't too busy so I was able to order right away. I got the pork buns (2 for $5) and the char siu banh mi large ($10). the pork buns came out first and they were nice and warm, I loved the flavor profile for everything but based on the picture I thought there was going to be a quail egg, unfortunately it was not there. It was also on the dryer side. After letting it cool for a few minutes the hard parts hardened completely. The banh mi was good with lots of meat. The large can definitely be split into two separate meals! Great deal! Unfortunately I felt like something was missing and it was also quite dry. There was outdoor seating furniture for the indoors, not really a vibe. All in all, food was okay but I loved the service. I enjoyed the care that went into the sandwich. Might try again? Maybe that one sandwich was a miss.

The wait was almost 30 minutes and the chicken sandwich barely had any meat or toppings, totally unacceptable! Will never come here again!

We bought Banh Mi here in the morning before we went on a day trip to an amusement park. Service was fine, and the employee helped me as fast as she could to prepare the sandwiches. The Banh Mi are solid and come with all the usual fixings. They are generous with the meat and fillings, and flavored well. Great for parties or a lunch.

Like locations that are KFC/Taco Bell, this place is both sandwiches and soup. They use an order keypad system that is separated between each. Two stations for soup and two stations for sandwiches. A better system would be all four stations capable of taking orders for both and on their side they can track who ordered what and which accounting system it should be credited. I ordered the small version of the ground pork with extra pickled vegetables and it was prepared promptly and was delicious.I also had the pleasant surprise of finding that I receive Miles with American Airlines by eating here so another reason for me to make the special trip from Santa Clara to downtown San Jose. Which I will be doing.
