I ordered the barbecue pork and the grilled pork. I tried the grilled pork first the bread is long and thin. The bread is a little hard and not soft at all. Usually, the bread is slightly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, but the bread they used is tougher than normal. The meat has good flavor and even amount of meat was provided. Veggies are nice and crunchy, but I would have liked more daikon and carrots on it.Next, I tried the barbecue pork. The bread on this is a lot better. Maybe the bread on the grilled pork was just a fluke. This sandwich is a little bit bigger than the grilled pork. They put more meat on it and it has a really good solid bite and good flavor on the meat, it was really nice. It's tender and savory , and it looks like they put a little bit more carrots and daikon on this one.Overall, I would give it a 6/10. I would go again if I didn't have another choice or my go to spot is closed to give it another shot. The price is a little bit more on the expensive side. One is almost 9 dollars compared to seven dollars that I'm used to .

THE GOOD- Super friendly staff.- - Easy going, courteous.- Only 10 to 15 minutes of waiting after ordering- Grilled Chicken (4.5 out of 5, wife says 5/5)- - Chicken was moist and flavorful.- BBQ Pork (4 out of 5)- - Flavor was good, pretty moist BUT, but there were part of the pork that felt gritty or dry.... not sure.- - - Bread is good quality and both sandwiches stuffed full of ingredients.- Interior clean.THE BAD- Only thing to really note was how the BBQ Pork was gritty or dry.THE UGLY- We came one day after going to the dog park and was excited to try the place.... but they were closed because they were catering instead. Not cool in my opinion. Unless it's a holiday, you need to be open during your set hours.Get ready for some seriously delicious sandwiches! This sandwich restaurant has friendly and courteous staff that will make you feel right at home. You won't have to wait long for your order, with just 10 to 15 minutes between ordering and serving. The grilled chicken is a standout, with moist and flavorful meat that will make your taste buds dance! The BBQ pork sandwich is also good, but there were some gritty or dry bits that could be improved. The sandwiches are generously stuffed with high-quality ingredients and served on good quality bread. The restaurant's interior is clean and well-maintained, making it a comfortable place to enjoy your meal. The only disappointment was when the restaurant was closed for catering during the our first visit, but don't let that stop you from trying this amazing sandwich spot!

I came here for the first time today to order some banh mi. The lady who took my order was very nice, thus the 3 stars for the service.Unfortunately, I placed the order and stated no jalapenos and cilantro. As someone unable to eat jalapenos, there were some placed on half the banh mi that I did not realize until I bit into it. The other half did not have the jalapenos. Called in to let them know what happened and the same lady was kind enough to ask me to come back to get a new one. I told her I only called to let her know to let the kitchen staff know to be more careful because someone can get seriously hurt...Please be wary and specific about taking certain things out. I guess it was also my fault for not mentioning an allergy. The other half of the sandwich was great at least!

A local gem! Came here today for lunch and this place made my heart and tummy happy :)As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a cheerful "Welcome to rice and spoon, would you like to dine in or get takeout?" We opted to dine in. It's a small place with 5-6 tables and since it was 2:30pm on a weekday, it wasn't very crowded.As soon as we sat down, the server got us our waters. We ordered Chicken Banh Mi and Vegetable Pho. Both dishes came out at the exact same time and were delicious! Loved every bite.As we were leaving, the server thanked us for visiting. We told her "We'll be back" and we meant it!
