Update to my last review - came back here for a weekday brunch and thought their food was solid. I ordered a plate of their sashimi which came with an assortment of three different kinds of fish. My daughter got a California roll and wolfed the entire thing down. The rest of the table got a combo of bento boxes and rolls and were happy with the quantity, quality, and taste of their food. Service was fine but was lacking a bit of warmth - we had to ask a couple of times for a box to go and having three toddlers with us, I got a bit of the vibe that we were inconveniencing them a bit.

Tried going here at around 8:40 pm. Right when we walked in they said they were closed -- mind yall we were going to order to go. We have been here before and love the food but unfortunately the service today was not it. If they're closing before 9:00PM it should be reflected on their hours of operation

Love it for pick up! Aya sushi have delicious bento boxes and great sushi as well. Every order is always correct and no one had ever any complains from our office, even though we've ordered from here for over a year. Highly recommend, I'll try to dine in when I can :)

They never disappoint. EVER! The ambiance is comfortable & welcoming. I think they even have a banquet room for bigger groups, when needed; it is usually just the husband & I so we never paid much attention to that. Quality of food & service is always right on point. We've been going here for years & will continue to do so!

Really great place for bento boxes! Comes with salad and a miso soup. My favorite item is the Ton Katsu. The meat was very tender and the breading very crispy and flavorful. The assorted nigiri was also pretty good! And the tempura was great! My dad got the teriyaki beef which he loves. I think the beef is dry so it's not my favorite. Next time I really want to try the udons and get the ton Katsu Donburi and tempura Donburi. Would definitely recommend this place, especially for lunch!

This place is very cute! There is limited seating. When we got here on Tuesday at 11 am, we were the first ones there, but around 11:30 am the place had already filled up pretty quickly.The food is on the pricier side. I've paid $12 for a solid Lion King roll before. Here it's around $17-19. My boyfriend also got a Chicken Teriyaki bowl for $19. Our total came out to $45 just from those two orders. It was pretty good, but we didn't feel that full for the price we paid.Staff was good, especially the sushi chef that day!I'd come back if I wanted good sushi in the area.

**They don't honor the Yelp check-in offer for the gyoza. This is a smaller sushi bar with tables along the wall side.I tried their combo dinner with my choice of teri salmon and salmon sashimi. Large slab of beautiful cooked salmon but the Teri sauce was a little too much of a syrupy sauce and scraping it off made it much better. The salmon sashimi was 4 long slices. The combo comes with rice, miso soup and a salad. The salad dressing tasted like liquid cool whip. Overall, a standard Japanese fair but I don't see any other plate I would want to go back for.Pleasant service.

The vegetable and shrimp tempura here is my favorite. The sushi is great, and you can watch them make the sushi in front of you. Everything tastes fresh. The price is on the expensive side (especially for dinner time). There's been a few times where the price seems too much for what we order, but the quality and taste is always great. The service is fine, and the workers are usually smiling and in a good mood. It's my go to spot for great Japanese food in the Bay Area. I bet if the location was bigger they would become very busy. You won't be disappointed eating here!

This is my favorite Japanese restaurant in the Peninsula. Fresh sushi, yummy rolls (Ichiban is my favorite) and their tempura and tonkatsu are always crunchy and piping hot. Friendly service and parking is easy. What else can one ask for?
