The food is really fantastic!! The vegetarian choices are vast, as are the choices for the meat lovers (I cannot attest to those dishes and quality). The ambiance is so-so and the hygiene is also basic. Lunch: It's a buffet, so it's mostly self service. But the hosts do bring dosas and naan and other such to the table. Seating is cramped. Elbow to elbow.Overall, worth it! Do go.

An interesting Indian place that is representative of a few regions. The buffet is quite good. The service is what you would expect from a buffet. The place is not big so it is limited tables and has a buffet feel to it. Altogether not bad.

The place stands out when you look for it due to the old school architecture. Inside is a bit small but if you get there early you can beat the crowds. You can't miss the colorful decor, and Hindi music plays on the television to complete the ambiance. The buffet is quite good, and many items are bold and spicy. Ther variety is very good as well. The paneer korma has quite a tasty sauce and the flavor is well balanced. The fried fish has an impressive coating of green spice on the outside, with the inside revealed to be white fish. Chai and mango lassi is included in the buffet, and are very good. There were two soups served as well. There was a mango pudding which had gulag jamun in it. Warm dosas and naan are brought to the table. There is something for everyone here.

We were told they had a management and/or chef change so decided to check them out. We got a non veg and veg thali. We also got some butter naans and palak paneer for the kids.Veg thali came with an assortment of veggie curries, appetizer, rice, roti, sweet and yogurt. The non veg thali was similar and came with a non veg appetizer and chicken and mutton curry.Cut mirchi: easily the best I have eaten. Most places tend to over fry the mirchi the second time it's deep fried but the version here was soft inside and crispy outside.Okra fry: crispy perfection with a spicy peanut powder coating. I enjoyed it just by itself.Beerkakay pachadi: tangy delicious goodness, I absolutely loved it but did feel it was a tad bit oily.Dal: I was looking for a respite from the flavor explosions from the other dishes with this but it was a tangy dal.Fried fish: this was part of the non veg thali. It didn't look like much with a thick batter coating but was bang on delicious. Though almost all dishes of the thali were impressive, the palak paneer and naans were lackluster. The naan was thick and salty. The palak paneer had lot of heavy cream and whole spices like corriander, partially cooked onions showing up in the gravy. I recommend sticking to thali and avoiding North Indian dishes.

Take out review only - Friends visiting the Bay Area brought us the egg biryani & chicken biryani. They have a choice of spice levels - be warned that the Medium spice level is spicy. The biryani was packed well with a salan & raita to accompany it. Both biryani dishes were excellent, and the salan and raita complemented the flavors well. Will look forward to visiting this spot to sample their other dishes!

Tried their buffet lunch today. Everything was delicious and spicy. They had a corn fritter appetizer that was good - crunchy and great flavor. The biryanis are flavorful. Rasam was good too. Reminds me of the ones my mom would make. The naans are delicious too - fluffy and crunchy in places. Service was great. They have recently remodeled the restaurant. Nice seating tables and booths.

The best thali I have ever eaten in the BayArea. Every single item on the thali tasted amazing. Authentic Andhra taste in every single item. Cut mirchi for appetizer and Ghajar halwa for dessert. Pulao and chapati delicious! Broad beans curry and Eggplant Fry made sooo well! Special callout for the homemade yogurt, how can the yogurt taste so good! The meal reminded me of the festive homemade meals we used to have back home when relatives who are an expert in making a single item each, get together and put out an amazing thali!! I would give them more than 5 stars if i could!

This place was a huge disappointment.. we ordered the Avachi special chicken biryani, ghee roast chicken, kadhai paneer, ulavacharu paneer biryani and naan.. they took forever to serve our food. They gave us the ghee roast chicken first and nothing else and we had to ask them multiple times (after waiting for 30 min) where our food was and the servers would just come and tell us that we had to wait 5 more min and they never showed up again.. the ghee roast chicken was completely cold when the rest of the food came so we asked the waiter to warm it up again and he took it to the kitchen and never returned with it again while he started serving other tables so we had to ask them again to bring it back after waiting for another 10 min... The food was not worth the wait at all.. the kadhai paneer had a small portion size for the price.. there was nothing special about the biryanis either.. in fact they weren't even biryanis.. they were just chicken and ulavacharu curries assembled with colorful basmati rice.. we had asked the waiter to make our food spicy and there was no spice at all.. and the ulavacharu was extra tangy and I like tangy food but it was inappropriately tangy..
