Wonderful family run restaurant. Kid friendly staff, they know our kids names and their orders. We love coming here for breakfast on the weekends! Great food too! Classic American and Korean options.

Not for everyone but we loved it. A hole in the wall breakfast and lunch place run by the nicest family. Service was quick and polite. One long counter with stools. Seems mostly a before work locals place. Breakfast was delicious. I had eggs, bacon and hash browns. The bacon was delicious. The potatoes were also yummy. My partner had the bulgogi omelette which was large and delicious as well. It's near UCSF hospital so convenient after dropping friend off there. Street parking available for free and meters don't start till 9am.

We love their hashbrown sandwiches! The change of ownership introduced some modernity to the place, with their acceptance of Apple Pay and a waitlist with fairly accurate wait times, but we were so glad they kept the hashbrown sandwiches as the signature menu item. Perfectly crispy on the outside with a tasty filler of your choice on the inside. The attentive pair of waiters who offered to bring us beverages helped make our 20-minute wait for a table feel much shorter. I appreciated the respectful and smooth "dance" of the cooks (owners?) and the staff in the tight space behind the counter. Love the welcoming and friendly vibe of the place.

This is a no frills, all American diner with a Korean twist. I loved this diner when I first visited years ago, and recently came back after they changed ownership. I was happy to see that the food was still just as good as my previous visit. My favorite is their hash brown sandwich! It's not something you find in most restaurants, and is perfectly crispy. I was craving a traditional American breakfast this day, so I opted for the hot link hash brown sandwich, which satisfied my craving. I need to come back and try their Korean items. This isn't the place for a fancy brunch. It's a good, solid, traditional diner. It's also a small family owned business. The family was SO lovely, kind, and provided wonderful customer service. Check them out and support them if you're in the area!

I'd like to give 3.5 stars for Arts Cafe. We were doing a day trip to SF with friends and heard a lot of hype about Arts Cafe. It's a very small shop with a small street seating area as well. With the hype, the wait time on a Saturday morning was long. Once we received our food, we were a little underwhelmed compared to expectations. The French toast was very mid. The flavor of the bulgogi was great but some bites were a bit tough. The egg wasn't quite as runny as we'd like, but still good. Everything taken into account, it's a good spot if you're in the area and looking for variation on a typical breakfast. But it did not live up to the hype we had heard before coming.

Veggie omelet / hot links omelet - 4/5, can't go wrong with an omelet! Hash browns were great as usual. Spicy pork bibimbap - 3/5, good amount of food and lots of veggies! Unfortunately the sauce seemed to be lacking something flavor-wise, but not bad.

Small hole in the wall for korean brunch! Tiny spot with most seats outside. The servers were all very nice and chatty. I got the bulgogi omelette, which was pretty solid. Hashbrowns were nice and crispy. This place is easy to miss since its so small, but was solid!! Food does take a while since the diner is so small, but its nice supporting a smaller business

My friend texted me before our recent trip to San Francisco and said we had to come here for hash brown sandwiches, and I was immediately on board. Add bulgogi into the mix and it was sure to be a winner, but Art's Cafe surpassed even those expectations. We both ordered the bulgogi hash brown sandwiches and it was insane. The hash browns were crispy, the bulgogi was tender and so flavorful, the eggs were cooked to order (over easy for me, sunny side up for my friend), and the sourdough toast was really carrying it's own weight on the plate. My friend said the water/environment in San Francisco is apparently special for making sourdough and I'd believe it - the toast was delicious! This is a small spot with bar seating inside and limited outdoor seating, but even if you have to wait, do it, because the food is worth it. They were also doing a bustling take-out business, but I'd recommend sitting inside, where you also get to watch the staff cook on the massive black stone griddles. It's almost mesmerizing to see them cook everyone's food to perfection with peak efficiency. Watching the gentleman near us cook was sort of like watching a conductor being aware of various instruments all across the kitchen. Plus, there seemed to be a lot of regular customers, which I love seeing. Wish I lived closer so I could eat everything else on the menu, which all looked amazing!

New York steak thin as a fork what a joke. If you thought Denny's was trash, don't come here. It's somehow even worse. Worst of all they miss gendered the person next to me.
