If you are bored with standard "Indian Restaurant food", Arth is definitely worth a try. The Small Plates section has unique items that have familiar Indian taste and flavors but are presented in unconventional forms or pairings. We tried the Gol Gappa Surprise, the Set Dosa with Jackfruit Ghee Roast, the Samosa Potli and the Baked Vada Pav.We weren't really sure what to expect when the Gol Gappa's showed up with what looked like green Martian eggs in them. :) In the end, the taste was comfortingly familiar and satisfying. My other favorite was the Jackfruit Dosa... little round dosa with flavorful roasted jackfruit on top. A little messy to eat but as a fan of jackfruit, I really liked this unique combination. The Samosa Potli and Baked Vada Pav were also tasty - I was surprised by how crunchy the baked potato fritter was in the Vada Pav. None of the items were overly greasy or burn-your-tongue spicy. Just the right amount of flavor and heat for my taste. For those looking for a more substantial meal, there are large plates which are more conventional - though there are a couple of unusual twists and turns there as well. Based on their food and originality, I would be tempted to give this restaurant 5 stars. The service, however, was not 5-star. It wasn't too crowded but still some odd delays and mix-ups. Things like dishes appearing out of order and food on the table but no silverware to eat with. It is still a new restaurant and hopefully they will find a way to improve the service soon. The ambience attempts to be trendy, but ends up being a little antiseptic... right down to the faint smell of bleach lingering in the air. Some degree of warmth and style and a pleasant aroma may make the overall experience more inviting. The other slight disappointment was the bar. We tried a couple of their unique cocktails which sounded really good on the menu. However, I felt the drinks lacked punch, either from the alcohol or from the flavors that were supposed to be infused or mixed with. Bit of a "watered down" feel. We did end the meal on a sweet note with the Deconstructed Paan. The gulukand by itself is a little too sweet, but if you mix the ingredients up, the taste is on point. I also really liked the concept and presentation. Overall, definitely worth a try just for the food. Drop by off-peak and bring friends so that you can have a leisurely meal and try different things with no rush... Bon Appetit!

Nothing special for Valentine's day dinner, hardly any decorations.Though menu seems like has fancy names , it's just spicy lacking flavors.Impossible something... so light, Momos are better than this for flavor. Mini Dosa was small and just spicy.Usualy we goto Broadway masala. Just wanted to give it a try. Not returning back again.Service is good, but they forgot our desert order, we received it after 35mins.Should have been certain discount on the bill.

If you like fusion take on Indian cuisine then do try Arth Indian Restaurant! We visited Arth for Valentine's Day dinner. Mostly, it was a positive experience. Appetizers such as, fusion Pani puri, smoked paneer tikka, & chicken kabobs were delicious with impressive presentation. Paneer dum biryani & champaran goat curry were really tasty! My kids complained that their garlic naans were super thin ;) loved the Rasmalai tres Leche cake! Chocolate harmony dessert was pretty dense. Non-alcoholic drinks were great but our cocktails were ok.Only complain was service :( Service was just ok. No one refilled our waters or checked on us during meal. We had to call the server to order rest of our meal & wait really long for the final check. It's a fairly new place so would definitely give them a second try! Ambiance:8/10Service:6/10Food:8/10Music:6/10Parking: mall parking lot Seating: outdoor & indoor seating : $50-$80

Hmm so hard to rate. All of the appetizers were gorgeous and delicious. The main I got was unmemorable and not very well seasoned, almost bland which was a shock after all of the ultra flavorful apps we had. Really this is 3.5 stars for now. But rounding up b/c some of the food was so good! The ambiance and service both need work. And I don't usually care about service. Agreed that the service was tepid and slightly awkward and impersonal like they don't care if you want to be there or want food. Though everyone was nice. (Mostly the issue was with the host/people the took order). The clean up crew was so nice and lovely actually. The music for a Saturday brunch was odd and not a vibe, a bit too loud and a bit too much like it came from an older white dude's not great clubbing list which created cognitive dissonance. The food imo is better than Ettan. More interesting and not dumbed down for the palette in the way Ettan is. But def the vibe needs work, especially because the space is so big and cavern-y feeling. Also I was a bit cold in that space and had a hard time taking off my coat which also made it less of a vibe, so they need to heat the place a bit more. Please have someone be more intentional about the music choice b/c it would make a huge difference. I was so distracted and not in a good way and if the service could be a tad warmer or more interested, I think this would be great for repeat visits!

New contemporary Indian restaurant in Cupertino!! It's definitely trying to be experimental with some crazy coloured dishes. ( I saw some teal colored gol gappas). But honestly it falls short of Rooh in tastinessThe paneer tikka was a bit weird. The paneer was marinated in something similar to green chutneys I'm used to dipping, but the shade was giving.... toxic chemical. The paneer texture was ok but wasn't a huge fan of the mint marinate. The dosa was also a bit underwhelming. It was a single dosa for all the toppings. I was pleasantly surprised by the jackfruit -- I had in fact forgotten it was a completely vegetarian dish until I looked up the menu today. The kulcha here was so yummy. It had black sesame seeds all over and it added an additional nutty flavour. The garlic naan was also yummy but I appreciated the uniqueness of the kulcha more. The paneer lazawab was my fav dish that we ordered. It was an oily gooey rich curry. Pretty standard -- if anything this place was a bit too oily for me.

Enjoyed my first time at Arth! Loved the ambience and the presentation of the food. Our waiter brought everything out pretty quickly. Gil guppay were spicy, but yummy! Paneer was my fav. The dosa was literally one like I haven't had before. I'll be back to try the rest of the menu! Didn't get a photo of the ras malai tres leches but it was super moist and flavorful as well.

The vegetarian restaurant Spice Klub has been replaced by Arth which also serves some non vegetarian items. Ambiance is still the same. It was packed when we went on Friday for dinner but we managed to get a table quickly. We ordered an assortment of dishes and across the board the food was decent. Surprise Pani puri- 4/5- Definitely get the Pani puri for the theatrics if not anything else. The pani was encased in some ball(I thought it was chocolate but it was surprisingly not sweet). Only 5 pieces came in the plate and I was craving more after sharing the plate with the family.Jackfruit set dosa- 4/5- two small dosas which were relatively sour topped with jackfruit curry and some green foam which I am assuming was some chutney. The jackfruit texture was interesting.Chicken tacos-3/5- the chicken curry was relatively spicy and there was a bit of a clash with the salsa that was also used in the tacos. The tacos also came with large pieces of lettuce and some micro greens. Overall there was way too much going on.Kolhapuri chicken- 3/5- this was marked as spicy. It was bone in chicken and the gravy was too runny and it didn't have much flavor to speak of. This was the most disappointing dish we ordered.Shish tauk-4/5- pesto hummus topped with some grilled chicken, vegetable pickles and a pita on the side. The pesto hummus was kind of bland and had a grainy texture. The pickles helped provided a nice tart kick. Chicken was beautifully cooked but again kind of bland. Only a single pita came on the side and it was tiny.Manakish bread-3/5- bread topped with cheese and some herbs. It was way too soft and didn't hold its shape.Bihari roti-3/5- naan kind of bread with some sort of filling. I couldn't figure out what the filling was, but it was grainy and soft.Prices are definitely not exorbitant for the effort they took to elevate the food.

I visited this restaurant with my husband for a special occasion. I made the reservation one day ahead. This seems to be a new restaurant and I really liked some of their dishes. The gol kappa surprise was presented very well and tasted good and spicy. Mutton champaran was so good. It was spicy and garlicky and went so well with the naan and Bihari roti. The highlight of the evening I must say was the Rasmalai tres leches. It was soaked in milk and saffron. There were bits of pistachio in the milk which I liked a lot. The overall service could be faster. There was almost 30 mins wait time between our appetizers and main course.

A creative take on fusion Indian cuisine that has some interesting appetizers, very basic main dishes, and a still-getting-it-together service team. One dish I'll definitely come grab again - a creative pani puri. Everything else was good enough, but lacked the distinct flavor that makes Indian cuisine unique. The small plates section is where the menu shines.

My husband and I tried Arth for lunch on a whim. We didn't make reservations, so we took the chance of doing a walk-in. I think we were lucky that the restaurant was able to accommodate us, because Arth was very busy. I'd recommend making reservations if you want to ensure you have a table. Arth was a beautiful restaurant. It felt vibrant and colorful, and it was a lot more casual than I thought. Although their website does make the restaurant come off as fancy, you'd be totally fine dressing in smart casual. The food was great. We ordered the tandoori flavored soft shell crabs, butter chicken, garlic naan, side of fluffy rice, and the rasmalai tres leches. My husband isn't the biggest fan of soft shell crab, but he mentioned that Arth's was the best he's ever had. TThe butter chicken was sweeter and a a lot more tomato based than I'm used to, but it was still delicious. The chicken thigh in the dish was nicely tender. I like rasmalai, so naturally the rasmalai tres leches was a hit in my book. I have 2 complaints about the restaurant, hence the 3-star rating:The service at the restaurant was incredibly slow. Between the time I snapped a picture of our crab appetizer (1:08pm) and the time we got our butter chicken entree, rice, and naan at (1:36pm), we had basically waited 30 minutes. It's one thing to not receive your food in a timely manner, but it's another thing that not one server came to check on us the entire time to see how we were doing. Even just the assurance that our order would be coming up soon would've been a nice. I had to make eye contact with someone to place an order for a cocktail while waiting for our entree. Thankfully our first server, who took our order initially, acknowledged the long wait and graciously took the cocktail off our tab. Secondly, the restaurant needs better ventilation especially because of all the smoky food. There were several items off the menu that came out sizzling or smoked (i.e. cocktails). At some point the restaurant felt stuffy and hard to breathe. If you have breathing challenges, I would maybe ask to sit by the door. This way you get a draft and exchange of fresh air when someone opens the door.
