Me and my boyfriend came here one night he had just picked me up from the airport and we needed to find a late night spot, our experience was great. It's gotta interesting vibe the lady that was there that night is super friendly they made us feel like family. The food we had was good after seeing the bad reviews we weren't sure what to expect but were pleasantly surprised. I got the beef enchilada plate and my boyfriend got chicken tacos and a huge veggie burrito we ate everything we were stuffed. It reminds me of being in Mexico at one of the restaurants you'd find in the neighborhood or on the beach. If you want fancy like Jose' Andres this isn't the place for you but if you need a quick bite late night it works just fine.

Found this gem while waiting to pick up family from the SFO Airport! Absolutely delicious and their customer service is amazing! 2.5 stars. If you live in San Bruno, you most likely have heard of Araujo's and have had their food at least once. When we first moved to the city, the eatery was one of our regular go-to neighbourhood restaurants, hitting them up practically on a monthly basis.Located on San Bruno Avenue, the brightly yellow-coloured venue is easy to find, even at night with its neon lights. Free parking is available in their tiny lot for about half a dozen automobiles as well as on the streets. Inside, table and booth seating are available in a split dining room with vibrantly painted walls. The space is usually fairly clean, but not pristine. Araujo's extensive menu offers an array of options for BREAKFAST (FROM THE GRIDDLE, EGGS & MORE, ARAUJO'S SPECIAL OMELETTES), LUNCH (standard Mexican handhelds like BURRITOS, TACOS AND MORE, HAMBURGERS, SANDWICHES), DINNER (Mexican and American mains including COMBINATIONS), SIDE ORDERS, & BEVERAGES. I highly recommend the NACHOS El GRANDE with CHICKEN MEXICANO for its deliciousness and generous serving (it's big enough for two to share). Their ground beef crispy tacos are pretty good, too. The FLAUTAS are nice sizes and crispy, but the diced (not shredded) beef can be dry. DJ finds the VEGETARIAN BURRITO as disappointing because of its lack of exciting contents - only veggie is lettuce. They claim to be "The House of the Original California Fries." Coming from San Diego where carne asada fries are prevalent, I'm not too sure about Araujo's claim to fame.Since Covid, gone are their 24/7 hours and deliveries. Honestly, their convenient hours and deliveries (one of their delivery girls was really awesome) were part of the reason why we were frequent customers. Quality of service has plummeted significantly since re-opening after the Covid-19 restrictions were lifted, unfortunately. When you call, you deal with abruptness, occasional rudeness, and rigidness. To boot, they won't send the order to the kitchen until you show up to pay, so, basically, there's no reason at all to call your order in. They also charge a credit card fee if you don't pay in cash, a bad sign of cheapness. Extremely disappointing.Due to the diminishing quality in customer service, our monthly Araujo's meals have dwindled from monthly to semi-annually to annually, if that.

Nah.I mean, I understand why this place still is around. It's open late night for anyone craving Mexican. Like very late. I respect the hustle all the way. But the food is extremely mediocre. Agua de Jamaica was bland, almost like it was left in the fridge for so long, then it turned into ice, and the ice melted which caused more water to mix with the Jamaica, then the taste is diluted by then. I wouldn't really trust this spot at all if you're looking for something enjoyable. I respect for how long they been holding this place down, but not a place I look forward to going.

Was craving late night Mexican, and this place was open and prices were reasonable. It's nothing spectacular - I got the Nachos el Grande and they were fine. The meat could have been cooked a little better and I wish they put more cheese, but the chips weren't stale and they give you an extra bag of chips and salsa too.Definitely not bad if you're craving something late at night, but don't expect to be wowed by the food.

Ordered the carnitas, carne asada, and al pastor tacos here. My favorite was definitely the al pastor, had a nice citrusy smoky flavor. The carne asada had some chunky chewy pieces that I feel could have been chopped up more. The carnitas definitely needed to be eaten with some sauce as it was dry. The carne asada and al pastor were both nicely crisp/charred and complemented by a soft tortilla. I also enjoyed the rice, beans, guac, and cream that came with the taco plate. It's a little bit older spot, so the interior is starting to fade away. Our server was nice and served us chips and salsa when we had run out as well as water. I definitely favored the roja over the verde for the salsa's. Our second bath of verde maybe had too much apple cider vinegar mixed in. Overall, felt like the meal was decent and does well in a pinch if you are out late.

I visited this restaurant for the first time in 20 years, since I was a teenager. It was 1am after work and i was hungry enough that I couldnt wait till morning to eat. thankfully this place was open. The ocean shrimp omlette was AMAZIN, def try that!! I also got the Banana pancake stack to finish the night off with something sweet, and that hit the spot! The whole vibe of the restaurant is so unique and welcoming, I felt so comfortable. I'm glad this place still exists, and that its open so late. The server lady is the same lady from 20 years ago! she's super sweet, and makes you feel like you're visiting home again. Thanks again!!
