Araujo's Mexican Grill

Love their tacos! Usually go for asada and al pastor but they have all sorts of delicious meats.Their crispy tacos and shrimp tacos are bomb also! Definitely one of my top Mexican spots in SJ!

The food is too expensive and not that great.Service is good though this place use to be the best but the owner stop caring or changed .Ambiance is great location .

Update 11/8/2024:The staff today were super amazingly sweet. The lady at the counter was kind and patient. The only thing I will say may be a bit of an issue is that this is the second time that they messed up one of our orders on the Super Burrito as it was missing the beans and avocado. While we try not to make it so much of a big issue, I just hope this won't happen in the future as we really love it here. My recommendations:It's an absolute must to get their Sopes. I introduced it to my BF and he was skeptical at first, but when I explained it to him, he decided to try. I typically only order one and have him share, but this is the first time he asked one for himself and I was so happy. Their Sopes are one of my favs in the South Bay.Street Tacos, if they ever return lengua to their menu, I'd gladly order it on a bi-weekly status. Haha. But relooking at the owners response a year or so back, I can understand the inflation and preparation. So I just order the tripa, carne asada and barbacoa here and there. My next adventure to order, I want to see how their shrimp tacos are. Price seems a bit steep for about $8+ I think for one taco... but I'll come back eventually and do another update.

Fairly pricey and not as good as it used to be :(I ordered 2 regular burritos with EXTRA meat and they both came out very small (think the size of a hefty taco bell burrito). The meats were also a bit dry. I can't help but think that I probably won't be returning here as there are so many other places in the area that give larger portions for the same price.

My all time favorite place to grab a super burrito quickly!! I've been coming here continuously for seven years and still crave it many days. I love the blend of the carne asada with their refried beans, avocado, sour cream, and rice. I also really enjoy their regular tacos. They are absolutely delicious. The pineapple agua fresca is also so refreshing and is needed everytime I come here.My favorite thing about this place are their sauces. They have a sauce bar where you can try as many as you'd like as well as unlimited radishes. The habanero sauce is super spicy but it's still one of my favorites. My favorite sauce has to be their ranchera sauce which is the chunky red one. I have never had salsa like this anywhere and it makes my burrito 1000x better. The service is also so fast and the workers here have always been super friendly. Each time I come here (which has probably been over 200 times) has been amazing. I love this place and everything about it.

I used to be an absolute fan of Araujo's, but after today's order, I'm going to have to take a long break before I come back to eat here again.My partner decided to surprise me with a super burrito today since I didn't have dinner this evening. He used our UberEats credit to get me my favorite order: the super burrito and even paid an additional $2 for extra meat. Welp, that's what we thought we were gonna get. Instead, I got an overly stuffed burrito on STALE rice and hardly any meat packed into my burrito... the green sauce helped with the dryness from the rice, but was hardly any. I took multiple bites hoping that the meat was hidden somewhere down the burrito, but I found nothing but more stale rice. The grains were either cooked with not enough water or from earlier this morning because it gave a crunchy bite...I know COVID impacted businesses greatly, but the quality of food here has really gone down hill. I could barely finish my burrito and ended up trashing the rest.

I've been getting takeout from Araujos for a while now. Definitely recommend their tortas de asada!

Amazing! This is what carnitas should look and taste like. Service is great I asked the cook if he was going to throw carnitas on grill and he laughed and said oh hell no, love that he knows that's not the way. Great ambiance with 3 flat screen tvs connected

I think the food rocks especially the sauces they add so much flavor to the food but it is really spicy, so not for the weak, haha. I think all the workers are really nice and sometimes there are new workers so we should be patient y'know? They also don't have a lot of English speaking workers which is fair, I can practice my Spanish with them! Really chill and I would go here for a late night meal.

Order a regular burrito and asked to substitute bean for rice. The upsell me a super burrito for 3 dollars more. Don't understand why I couldn't get the regular burrito and substitute for rice. The selk their rice or bean for $2.75 cent which make the value of rice and bean equivalent. Yet I don't see the problem why I can't substitute the bean for rice when they are equal values. So the up sell me to a super burrito. Not coming back here anymore and the meat is not fresh like how they use to make them before the bought the store. It use to be fresh and hot. My meat was cold and probably cook few hours prior.
