Simply delightful lunch here today: -kind and present service - felt like I was completing a mini meditation during each interaction -loved the Baingan Bharta - deep smoky flavors super satisfying, came highly recommended -goat thali, fun journey of flavors and textures -roti, generous, cooked to how you request it, wow unheard of -chai tea, made to order, rich and balanced the meal with the creaminess -samosas, only thing not made in house, gf! Def some heat to it, mild-med, mint dipping sauce was perfect -clean and inviting interior and even a selfie wall LOVE. Hayward food scene is leveling up because of spots like this. And yes, I have a new obsession for Nepalese food, so light and healthish for a meal out.

I had really high hopes for Aama's Kitchen after seeing some great reviews but it fell below expectations during a recent visit.We started with the Gobi Manchurian which is a staple of mine at many Indian meals. The first thing I noticed was how few pieces there were - I counted five on our plate, which was disappointing. It tasted dine but I didn't think it was worth it for the price.Next, the Daal turned out to be quite bland and watery. I was missing some of that flavor that I'm used to in order daals I've had preciously.While I appreciated having many vegetarian and vegan-friendly options, I found our meal pretty subpar at best.

I can't say enough about the service! They are welcoming, willing to converse with you on where they are from, and super accommodating! We came in around 8pm and it was just us. But more people started rolling in around 9pm to eat. This is a popular place to have traditional Indian/Himalayan/Nepalese dishes!We came for the Momo - -- so glad we were finally able to try these, they were pretty darn good. Little pockets of chicken goodness dipped in their sauce put me in a happy spot.

My goodness this restaurant was so delicious. The server recommended us to try the chili momos which were perfect if you like a little spicy kick. We also ordered the tandoori chicken with fresh squeezed lemon, which came with 2 sauces, the mint sauce was my favorite. The garlic naan came out fresh and hot, and our chicken tikka masala was the perfect pairing to dip out naan into. I want to try a paneer dish and the biryani next time! 10/10 recommend and definitley coming back.

I came here with a friend on a Thursday evening for dinner, and I am so happy we found this restaurant. Aama's Kitchen had the best service by far and budget-friendly meals!The place itself is small with a few large tables and three to four 2-person tables. However, the walls were lively and there is a cute flower wall near the door.We were seated immediately and got our order shortly after. There was only one server working all the tables, but he was so efficient and kind. Honestly, the best smile and charisma I have ever seen from a server! He kindly showed us his favorite dishes, and we ordered the Chicken Tandoori, Aloo Gobi, Chicken Biryani, and Naan. The chicken tandoori was so flavorful and tender! It was enough to feed one hungry person (about six pieces) or a protein to share between two people. The aloo gobi was hearty and a little spicy, I really like how soft the vegetables were. The chicken biryani was also really fluffy and plentiful! Very generous portion! The sauces they gave us to complement the meals were so delicious as well. Our entire meal only cost $50, and with such great service, this place is a 10/10!I will definitely come again to try more Nepali dishes!

(5 out of 5)Nepali food, similar to Indian, but don't be mistaken, they have differences. The food here is amazing. I'll start with the service because I want to highlight it, some of the nicest people work here... including cooks, I like my food spicy and had them do the max heat for everything and asked for extra, the cook made somthing special for me and my fiancé and came to even have a conversation with us, genuinely great guy. The ambiance here is super cool with LED light stuff, amazing ambiance. And the food, great! I loved everything I will 100% be back. Also closing at 2am even on Wednesday and Thursday... somthing you just don't find anymoreWhen you come tell them Rothyy sent you!

This is the best Indian restaurant i have ever eaten! The food is amazing. We have never had the panipuri, it was so delicious, the chickpea ball was so light and delightful with the mint tamarind sauce. The garlic, and onion naans were fluffy and soft. Omg the rice! I have never had such beautiful basmati rice, each grain is separated, perfectly fluffy and soft, never thought i write so many words to try to describe rice! We thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes. This is my favorite Indian restaurant in the Hayward area! Or in the Bay Area!

This place is phenomenal in terms of Nepali flavors and cuisine, as subtly different from Indian cuisine. The restaurant is well managed, clean and a very friendly environment and atmosphere. I have been here twice now and both times I was very impressed by their service. Truly a great place, and is open until 2am!

Stopped by for a late lunch and was blown away by the great service and food! I can be a bit skeptical when I see a large menu, but there were absolutely no misses in what we ordered. For a group of 4 we ordered the paneer pakora, a goat biryani, lamb korma curry, chicken tikka masala, and a full serving of chicken tandoori. We also got a side of rice. This was more than enough for our group & we even had leftovers to bring home. All the proteins were well cooked - nice and tender, not a single dry bit. Our favorites were the lamb korma curry and the chicken tikka masala,but honestly everything was delicious and packed with flavor. Where Aama's really shines is with the service however. One member of our party is gluten free and our server was so knowledgeable and accommodating! He reviewed how certain items were prepared to ensure no cross contamination and also brought out extra sauces to ensure that everyone could enjoy them. He was also wonderful at helping us pick spice levels, opting to keep the lamb korma curry at a medium and bumping the tikka masala to a spicy given the cream to help cool it down. Overall a really great meal and I can't wait to return!
