Zingari Ristorante + Jazz Bar

I had the most lovely evening at Zingari this past Sunday night. The ambiance was everything. The jazz band that plays every Sunday was extremely talented. One of the members was playing multiple instruments throughout the show, very impressive! I also had the best martini, my mom loved her French 75, and my grandmother raved about her margarita! Our bartender Tyler was so hospitable but also knew his craft! I will be back many more Sunday's when Tyler is working with friends and family!! A good bartender makes the experience that much better, truly.

Since we were guests at The Donatello, we decided to dine at their restaurant which has live jazz! I gotta say that this was quite a lovely experience! I reserved a table where we can enjoy the live jazz band! That section wasn't huge, which made the experience feel very intimate and romantic! Our server was very polite and made great recommendations! Any chance I get to eat the lamb, I take it! It was a great choice! I ended up buying a second order to take back to my room!

Hello, I wanted to share my experience when I tried to come in and eat dinner with my business partner. As we walked in two guys at the counter scattered when we walked in. Rude. So then we stood there for a few minutes waiting for someone to greet/ seat us but no one did so we had to search for help and found a group of guys around the bar area. We asked if the restaurant was even open based on the energy. One of the guys told us they just got out of a meeting and stood there awkwardly. I then asked, so what do we do out of sarcasm because it seemed they were dumb founded that customers were in the restaurant. [??] I kid you not this was the energy. The gentleman then try's to seat us hesitantly and confused. So after that I decided to politely tell him we changed our minds and we'll eat somewhere else. I'm am soooooo glad we did not have one of our celebrity clients with us as that would have been a HUGE embarrassment. As a business manager and business owner one can only reflect from within as to why quotas/daily goals aren't meet. Quality service and customer experience always drives a business ability to turn profit long term. I hope this helps because as a manger it's tedious to try to micromanage a team to ensure they are doing the right thing at all times reviews help to see what's join on.

I came here for a business dinner, and wow the food blew me away... and I regularly eat Italian in NYC top Italian places. I had the rigatoni con salsiccia and it was a dream. The service was active and helpful, but it did feel a bit stuffy (hence one star down). I just didn't get a human connection with the staff.This is differently the feel of a modern downtown restaurant, which was was something different than I am used to, and it felt a bit odd. Then again this was a business dinner downtown.

We had the pleasure of dining at Zingari on Christmas night with a group of three, and it was an unforgettable experience. It was our first time visiting, and from start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations.The evening began with a warm welcome and a complimentary glass of champagne, setting the festive tone. We followed this with a bottle of exquisite Malbec from Mendoza, which paired beautifully with our meal. The special Christmas menu featured four courses, offering a fantastic variety to choose from.Every dish was exceptional. The shrimp appetizers were perfectly cooked, the burrata was creamy and fresh, the lamb chops were tender and flavorful, and the prosciutto filled with mozzarella was simply divine. While the savory courses were outstanding, the desserts truly stole the show. We indulged in tiramisu, bread pudding, and gelato--and were pleasantly surprised with an additional cheesecake on the house. Despite my best efforts to limit dessert, I couldn't resist the heavenly flavors.Adding to the charm of the night was the live jazz performance, which created a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere. The music added a cool, festive vibe and truly elevated the experience.The service was impeccable and added to the joy of the evening. Special thanks to Ateş and Tankut, who went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. Their attentiveness and warmth made us feel right at home.Overall, Zingari gave us an incredible Christmas dinner, complete with delicious food, excellent music, and outstanding service. We can't wait to return and highly recommend it for anyone seeking an exceptional dining experience!

I cannot speak highly enough about this hidden gem. The food was incredible, the jazz music with Jerome created a fun atmosphere, and Tyler's Espressotini's are the best in the country!

I attempted to go here twice while staying at the hotel attached to the restaurant. The first time was a nightmare of being asked to come back, still not having a place when I came back, coming back again and music being so loud you couldn't even speak to a waiter. The second time the food was decent but not worth the price paid and the service was once again horrible. The following evening even siting in the lobby of the hotel you could hear the music from upstairs and it is too loud for the space. I would only recommend eating here if you are unable to leave the hotel.

If you are looking for a nice quiet space near the bustling union square, this is a perfect spot. The service was top notch and the salad was amazing. I didn't love my gnocchi or my pistachio gelato but all in all a solid choice in a neighborhood where it's hard to find good options.

Myself and two friends sat at the bar last night prior to a concert for drinks and appetizers. Our bar tender/server was Tyler, he' was quite honestly the best! He made us great drinks, wonderful service and made the start to our fun evening that much better! Thank you Tyler keep doing what you do best!

Food was well prepared and very tasty. Service was great, not too bothersome but you never had to wait for your glass to empty, it was constantly full. A very quiet atmosphere, somewhat intimate but also very packed with tables. If you do go here, I suggest two things: 1) Make a reservation, space is somewhat limited. 2) Expect a 4 star meal at 7 star pricing.Great experience, but cost prohibitive.
