I grew up going to their San Jose location before it closed, so finding this spot was such a happy surprise!Service: * We were served super quickly, and the lady helping us was really nice--great experience overall.Food: * Jamja Noodles (Half Jjamppong, Half Jajangmyeon): Super delicious! I just wish the black bean noodles were a bit warmer, but we came close to closing, so I get it. * Bibimbap: Absolutely fire! Loved that the sauce wasn't limited, so I could add as much as I wanted. We got it with tofu, and it was super filling but didn't feel too heavy. * Sweet & Sour Beef: So good--maybe it's the nostalgia talking, but the sweet-to-savory balance was perfect. * Soft Tofu Spicy Stew: Felt like a comforting homemade meal, like something a grandma would make.Great food, fast service, and friendly staff--definitely coming back!

Za zang Myung: egg noddles in a black bean sauce with ground pork, cabbage and zucchini. This is the reason why we came to ZaZang! Comes with a side of onion, pickled veggie and chili paste. It was good, but a bit on the bland side. Next time I will try the spicy Za zang Myung. Zam Pong: Egg noodles with seafood and veggies in a spicy broth. The broth was delicious, and the spice level was mild for my spicy palate. The order is big enough to share. I would recommend trying it if you like a little spice in your life!Pro:-Za Zang Myung (try the spicy)-Zam Pong-Casual dining -Check, Please! recommendation 10.14.2021Con:-They don't offer the typical Ban-Chan -Za Zang Myung was a little bland Dos quince dos mil veinticinco

It was my second visit to the restaurant, and I think they have good Korean food. My Korean friends say that it is pretty authentic. This time, we ordered black bean noodles, spicy noodle soup, and spicy gan poong ki. My favorite out of them was the black bean noodles. Next time, I would try a different meat dish. The gan poong ki was okay for me. But the noodle dishes were great. The total was $61 after tax and tips.As for the restaurant, it felt like a cozy, neighborhood restuarant. The worker was also super nice as well.

Zazang felt like stepping into a mom's kitchen! A wonderful place to visit on a cold rainy night. Very warm ambiance and prices are reasonable. Situated on a quiet street on Sunday night, parking was very easy. Once inside, we felt like we were in the Korean suburbs. Music was calming and we could actually hear each other talk. Zazang myun- 4/5 noodles are perfectly chewy! Sauce isn't overly salty, but a bit more sweet and gingery than I'm used to Chicken wings- 4/5 we were able to get a small portion of the non-spicy chicken wings. Super juicy and crispy. Would be amazing if the meat was marinated Zam pong bap- 5/5 too spicy for me but actually my favorite dish we tried! The broth was heavenly

I was craving food so I finally tried out Thai restaurant. And we loved it! The restaurant reminded me of LA, and the food was great. It felt like a casual, old restaurant in LA.We ordered one jjajangmyeon (black bean noodles) and one tangsuyook (sweet and sour meat). The price was very reasonable as well. The worker was super nice as well.I will definitely come back again!

I had a craving for Jjajangmyeon and decided to stop by Zazang after visiting a patient at Kaiser. The restaurant wasn't too busy when I arrived and I was welcomed and seated promptly. I started off with the Korean fried chicken wings and a Terra beer. The chicken was seasoned and sauced nicely and I enjoyed the flavor and crispiness of the chicken. Perfect way to start the meal. The Jjajangmyeon was so good! I enjoyed the texture of the noodles and the flavor of the sauce. I appreciate how the sauce is served separately as mixing in the ingredients all together makes the experience so much more authentic! It was served traditionally with round slices of danmuji to refresh the palate, and sliced onions to enhance the flavor during and between bites. As this restaurant specializes in Jjajangmyeon-- it did not disappoint. I will definitely be back, and I highly recommend if you are also craving these noodles!

Got the jajangmyeon and jjampong! They also have half 'n half bowls. Super yummyy thiugh Chef Yu's always has my heart. A very homey Korean food spot. The family that runs it was very sweet. How I rate my stars:1 - Yikes. Will never be coming back. Usually raw food, terrible service, etc2 - Maybe it was just this time. Didn't like what I ordered, bug in the food, bad experience, etc3 - Meh. Nothing special nor awful about it, but not super memorable.4 - Liked! Would happily come back to :)5 - Must-Try!!! I will becoming back to this place every time I'm in the area.

Love this O.G. spot in SF. Being an SF native who now resides in the south bay after getting hitched, I have to travel to Sunnyvale to get good jjajang myun. I used to live like 5 min from here but while my dad was hospitalized for a couple of weeks I got to return to this spot after many years. They are a Korean-Chinese eatery so they don't provide ban chan (so know that going there and please try not to deduct stars for that since it's not an actual Korean restaurant). My favs are the Gan-jjajang myun (rich and tasty) and love to order a side of jjampong broth (probably my top jjampong broth EVER! They make the broth from scratch, spicy and deep in flavor), their homemade mandus (HOMEMADE DUMPLINGS, both fried and steamed are seasoned well and have great meat texture), and I love their kkampong chicken.Everything is homemade and they use fresh ingredients. Again, being a child of immigrants who also ran a small biz for 40 years on Geary, these spots made my childhood full of culture and delicious memories. SF used to be (maybe still is) a city full of small businesses that make it proud to be an SF native. Encourage you to support such long time small businesses!!

Pretty average Chinese inspired Korean restaurant. Ordered 2 batches of the tang-soo-yook because the first batch was so crispy and delicious. Was disappointed with the second round as it was soggy. All other dishes were pretty typical, what'd you expect.Customer service was subpar. I do give respect to the owner (?) as she was handling takeout orders, serving tables and manning the phone. She was definitely on the phone with a friend while working which didn't give the best impression.
