Stopped by YY Coffee & Milk Tea to try their Hong Kong-style lemon black tea, but was pretty disappointed. Instead of lemons, they used limes, which gave the drink a bitter, off-tasting flavor that wasn't anything like classic HK lemon tea. The tea itself was strong, but the balance just wasn't there. That said, they do have a huge menu with tons of options, so maybe I just picked the wrong drink. I might come back to try something else, but if you're looking for authentic HK lemon tea, this might not be the place. only one worker but good service! cute vibe.

Somehow this place has skyrocketed to be in my top 3 favorite milk tea shops in the city. Here's what they're doing right: amazing drinks, incredible overall value, great service, relaxed ambiance, and some small things that I think make a great impact for retaining customers.First off, there's so many drinks that I like from this place and I've liked every single milk tea, smoothie, and latte that I tried so far. This includes: avocado smoothie, strawberry smoothie, classic milk tea, Thai tea, peach oolong milk tea, Hong Kong style milk tea, taro milk tea, oolong milk tea with mochi and cheese cream, osmanthus coconut oolong milk tea with purple rice, mango coconut jasmine milk tea with coconut jelly, matcha latte, and the black sesame coffee latte. Long list huh? Well, the list'll only get longer. I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this place sooner. Also, they let me add coconut milk to basically any drink I want and that makes every drink taste so much better.Value wise? It's actually incredible... the prices for the drinks themselves seem fair to me, but once you tack on their membership card bonuses and their 9 stamp cards for a free drink, $100 basically becomes ~$160. It honestly has me a bit worried because I want them open forever, but I trust they're doing what they need to do to.Service is great. Never had any complaints. They give the service I'd expect from any decent business and the service is consistent too, so it's fairly excellent. Some small things that I think make a huge impact (for me at least) include: having Splenda packets for the customers, including small gifts for customers during the holiday season, and a real cozy vibe that makes me feel good about supporting a local business. They really won me over as a customer.Overall, I definitely recommend giving this place a try! Will try to post pictures soon.

I had a pleasant experience going to YY Coffee & Tea in my most recent visit. I felt bad being THAT customer that came in 10 minutes before closing which is a pain I felt before. Still the service was still good and the ordering process is easy since they have a kiosk at the entrance. The inside is really cozy and well decorated.I ordered the Belgian Biscuit Brown Sugar Milk Tea w/ Boba ($6.50). This drink was pretty sweet at 75%, but to be fair thats my fault for choosing a brown sugar drink and getting it at a higher sweetness. The drink was still good and the belgian biscuit really does have an affect on the flavor of the drink. They have a lot more unique drinks than this on their menu so I would have to try the rest of their menu to really get a better feel of this boba shop. I liked the flavor of the tea here and it did not taste watered down at all. I'm definitely coming back again to try what else they have to offer and it is located in a convenient location surrounded by plenty of good restaurants. Street parking isn't too bad especially on weekdays regardless of the time.

Chinese bubble tea shops are fun..but they are so mean to me...then you ask for a points reward card...then you pay $10 for a drink....fun promotion for holiday...I happened to be in the area near 19th and found this wonderful post flyer...I decided to go and enjoy the program with the community...near Junipero Serra Blvd...train stations...settlement says that we celebrate Christmas..since 1936...Chinese Asian tea house...I got a cold brew..$5 promotion..with milk and sweetener...don't you know that? I have visited this street...there's a short list to go see and visit a few times...there are homes since World War I...good community...holidays!

The WORST boba experience in my life.Me and my daughter spent 45(!) minutes there waiting for our order. There was one girl, she tried, but she was slow, and she had an order of 8 tea in front of us. I wish we realized that, would've left right away. It seemed like she will be done any moment now, but she never was. Then she started making teas for people who came after us. Then they were out of boba, then 50% sugar was actually full 100%. Disaster all around. Whoever owns this store needs to hire more people and train them better. If you value your time, go somewhere else.

WATERED DOWN BOBA I like my tea to be high quality and here the tea is weak. UNIQUE FLAVORS A great variety of options with customizable milk alternatives, more than 7 Leaves boba cafe. SLOW SERVICE I was the only customer and the barista was also the cashier. Perhaps he was new but I had to wait ten minutes for my drink. GRAB AND GO AMBIANCESome seats for a handful for people unlike My Cup of Tea which has more tables and lots of people seated inside.

I come here for my honeycomb toffee coffee craving when I don't want to drive to Japantown for Jina Bakes. They're okay here. My sister tried their mango sago before and it is okay as well.

My Cup of Tea has some serious competition! We came by on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty empty. We were the only ones in the shop for about 2 minutes before a small line began to form. Since this was my first time, I decided to defer to their Top Ten drinks and got the "Belgium Biscuit Brown Sugar Milk Tea". I honestly think the Belgium biscuit is similar to a Bischoff but didn't want to give a brand to them. It was really good! I really enjoyed my drink. Perfectly sweet for me (got 100% sweet) but honestly, I think you need to get 100% ice which is something I never really suggest but their boba is FRESH and HOT! Instantly melted my ice LOL. Their boba is nice and chewy, has a great QQ to it. There is QUITE a bit of boba so the ratio is a bit off BUT I didn't super mind it. It was nice and creamy but more sweet than it was a "milk tea" where they tend to be a bit bitter. Can't wait to come back and try their other drinks!

Very cool setup. You go inside and you make your order on thr machine when you enter and then wait for your drink to be made. Im sure the workers appreciate that lol i would. Just making the order and not be worried if you misheard something. The fruit one was my favorite. Fruit bowl one. The graped and green tea one was also a very unique one. Add some aloe vera and ngh so good

I noticed there was a new boba/coffee shop in my neighborhood so I had to check this place out! I've only been here for coffee, so I can only attest to their coffee. Inside there is a kiosk that you can order from, but you can also order at the cash register. I've only came here in the morning so it wasn't too busy! The inside is small but very cozy. There is only a couple of bar stool seat facing a wall so do not expect to hang out here with a large group of people.I went here a couple times and I've tried the Coconut Iced Latte, Ovaltine coffee Latte, and the Jasmine Green Tea Coffee Latte with Oat milk. You have an option to adjust your sweetest and ice level. All their drinks were great and not too sweet (the highest form of asian compliment). My favorite is definitely the Coconut Iced Latte which uses coconut milk so it is lactose intolerant friendly! The coconut flavor was perfect where you don't think it's too overpowering but also strong enough to taste it! This place might be my new go to coffee shop! The service was also pretty good and the drinks are great but it is pretty pricey.
