One of the best kept secrets in Lone Mountain / Inner Richmond. Chef's Omakase is delicious, great rolls, and they do a ton of take out. They always have the best sports game of the day on, and are kid friendly. The staff is attentive and Kidd and Olivia do a wonderful job and are the perfect team. Inside is no frills, and you will be delighted.

Good neighborhood Japanese spot when craving some sushi. I ordered from here a few times because they have a large selection of sushi rolls, including my favorite: the lion king roll.Ordering online through their website is easy and is ready for pickup really quickly. The food tastes good. Prices are fair. Will come back again!

Ordered my food Togo and it came out so fast (especially since I ordered the lion king roll). The server let me sit at a table and even brought me a glass of cold water. They did not know this but I had come back from a 12hour plane ride and just needed something to eat. Their service was phenomenal. Everyone said bye to me when I left. Made me happy with my choice to go here just to be welcomed and be greeted with care. Sushi was delicious! The 501 was a new roll I was nervous to try but it was sooooo good.

Our latest group get-together was here for Sunday lunch in late March. Worried about the parking situation in the notorious Inner Richmond, I got here about thirty minutes before our reservation time, finding a space block and a half away. Having some gifts to carry, I walked in fifteen minutes early and was seated at a long window table at the far corner. Our gracious host ordered several appetizers to share including the chicken karaage (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=WKmKDEY86beUUC9kkqTfXA&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q), gyoza (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=4qYFa2F4gchF9IRU9UYeCA&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q), Dragon roll (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=7rSPyrYu9cofpMxCwKr9Kg&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q), and Warriors roll (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=L4ni0G6tQqxCHPcecUHDpA&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q). We also shared small dishes of cucumber salad (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=Q-6S5M2viYXqA7CdQ44Wkw&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q), Goamme (boiled spinach with sesame dressing) (), and Wakame (marinated seaweed salad) (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=xBHDg8m69pYPy_furFzXUg&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q). Everything was okay with the spinach being my favorite with the different flavor and texture. Besides this, I wanted to be adventurous in trying items not often found in other local Japanese restaurants. I ordered the Wagyu beef tataki (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=WM3OjYdMvdLNfGkjFY_0hw&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q) which we shared but only four of the eleven guests tried. I enjoyed this as the tender slices were dressed in a light ponzu sauce and garnished with shreds of onion. I also pivoted to the lobster hand roll (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=2e9r4t-kpvVBs-6LfFlwGA&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q) after seeing little price difference from my normal spicy tuna hand roll go-to. Please note that it is made with lobster salad so you aren't disappointed by expectations. For my main meal, I had the poke don (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=4XAS44S4I7mmLajd4wcL8w&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q), described as diced mixed sashimi, omelet, and cooked shrimp. It's too bad that I didn't read the menu description until now as I didn't remember any egg in my bowl though it was interesting to have macadamia nuts scattered in it. It became a bit one note for me with marinated pieces of tuna, salmon, and scallops. The nuts didn't add anything to this meal for me.The lady who waited on us was efficient and friendly, bringing our shared dishes wisely positioning them, removing empty dishes and bowls, and adding water to our glasses and teapots. She also offered and brought us takeout boxes and bags before we asked, seeing the amount of unfinished food.My friends saw a large fish jowl in their refrigerator display as we walked to our table. Our gracious host asked whether it was available and could be ordered. She explained that it was tuna, not hamachi like most places, and that it would take 45 minutes to prepare. With a tight afternoon schedule that day, we passed on it. I would return if in the neighborhood but would likely have a bento box next time.

Kind of stumbled into this restaurant on accident but we decided to sit down and order some food anyways because we were starving!! All I have to say is, the Uni here is SO GOOD. Everything else... meh. Didn't love the atmosphere of the restaurant itself and the other order we had were not memorable and I think I recall the salmon being legit frozen and hard to chew through. All in all, come for Uni and nothing else.

Deciding where to have dinner, our friend suggested Yuubi in the neighborhood because he said they recently reopened for indoor dining. I remember dining here pre-pandemic and was looking forward to trying again.Arriving around 6:30pm on a Saturday, the restaurant was about half full and we were promptly seated. The restaurant was spacious with about ten floor tables and seating around the sushi bar. Since the four of us wanted different food choices, we decided to order our own dishes. I opted for a steak teriyaki and tonkatsu bento, which came with miso soup. The box had rice and a salad. The steak was ordered medium-rare and it was cooked as requested. It was very tender. The tonkatsu had a crispy panko crust and the pork was moist and well-cooked. Teriyaki chicken and chicken karaage bento. When the waitress brought the bento to the table, she noticed it had chicken katsu and she was apologetic and had a side of chicken karaage ordered and it was brought to the table. My friend enjoyed his bento. Chirashi bowl. Friend who ordered this enjoyed the thick pieces of fish and the freshness. There were ten pieces of fish, ebi and tamago. Chasu ramen. Friend who ordered this was pleased with taste of broth and the ramen. We started with a dragon roll. The roll was well made and appeared smaller than average, but probably because they don't make it with a lot of rice. They have two refrigerator case with fresh chunks of tuna displayed and the tuna head. I guess they cut up their own whole tuna.Overall, compared to two neighborhood Japanese restaurants that I dines at in the Sunset, the food here was a so much better in quality. The ambiance here was a lot nicer and the service was friendly and efficient. I will be back.

The food at Yuubi never leaves me disappointed but it also never blows me away. It is perfect for a low key dinner when you live within walking distance and don't want to cook, but isn't quite a destination. The goamme is flavorful but the dressing is too heavy, the Kinpira Gobo is a little oily and the Tamago pales in comparison to other sweeter, more robust versions. Nothing is unenjoyable but they all fall short of top marks. The service is very friendly, but the space is too loud with blaring pop music and congested with delivery service drivers at the front.

Every time I come here I would love to order their sashimi, their fish is always so fresh. They even have fresh wasabi to match with the fish. The sushi chef pour his heart into his work of art and taste. The food is top notch quality with decent price. The service is excellent. The dine in environment is friendly. The kids always enjoy coming here. It is definitely worth it to have delicious food and good time here no matter solo or with friends and family.
