I try to support local small businesses but this place is just not very friendly.A couple of the cashiers are not nice at all..glares...barely speaking..not even a 'thanks come again.' I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt...everyone has a bad day but the dude working tonight just glares at me and doesn't speak. Repeatedly this has happened.I pay with my credit card which has a rainbow flag on it.My assumption is this place is not Gay friendly...plenty of other places to grab your necessities...go there.

Yogi food market, also known as the Uhnn tiss Uhn tiss uhn tiss convenience store.Seriously, it's like a dance party in here on most weekday nights.I can buy my Ol' E anywhere, so this is a welcome change from the "sad old man" convenience store across the street from my apartment.Extra stars for the guy who tried to upsell me on a flask of jameson to mix with my coffee one Saturday morning.

For a small space, I'll accept their limited selection of ice cream brands. I bought a bottle of Honest Ade (cranberry lemonade) here. I wish they stocked DRY soda or Harney and Son teas. This is around the block from a friend's apartment. While waiting for her to get out of work, I wanted American Dream ice cream and pink champagne, which they don't carry.

I'm not really getting the name, even though they just had a pretty new green awning put in, -- I call it the "heavy metal corner store". This is because of the pounding 80's vintage metal that is usually playing in here nights. It makes you feel like kind of a bad ass for buying cheap wine, diet coke (to mix) and toilet paper and 9PM on Monday night. Yogi is the fashionable corner store: the chessboard tile floor, the cleanliness, the bright lighting and the cheerful counter men.It may not be the cheapest cheap wine in a 3 block radius, but dang it's still cheap wine and --- Scorpions!

This is a cool little store with almost everything you could need in a hurry. The guy at the register probably sees me and / or my husband 5 times/week. It's so convenient to our apartment that we can't not take advantage of it. They have come in handy for ice cream, chips, cat litter, cat food, pasta sauce, diet coke, and cheap wine many times. The later hour loud ass music is kind of strange though. I guess maybe it's to convince people to go inside?? Anyway it's a handy little store to have on the block.

yogi food market, a.k.a. "the heavy metal liquor store," has significantly improved the quality of my life on a variety of levels. in terms of its functional attributes, this place does what it does quite well, and can be relied upon for a consistent array of:-ben & jerry ice cream flavors-cheap -yet drinkable- wine-ritter-sport candy bars (including the ever delightful marzipan & dark chocolate kind)-liquor-paper towelsyet yogi food market offers many joys beyond its fine convenience store wares:-at the counter, they have a screen for the security camera that monitors the wine-corner next to the ice cream freezer. they also have a black & white checkered floor. so while your boyfriend is paying for the wine, you can, to the amusement of those at the counter, go dance in the wine-corner like the midget in twin peaks.-on at least 3 out of 7 nights of the week, the guy working there is pretty much guaranteed to be playing, loudly, heavy metal of some kind. this pleases me greatly, as i am from michigan, and am frequently filled with the need to rock. last week they were playing scorpions, so my boyfriend & i went home with a bottle of wine and spent the rest of the evening listening to big city nights.where else can you get booze, twin peaks, scorpions, and a pint of ben & jerry's all in one place? yogi food market, there's no one like you...

Recently dubbed "Dance Market" by my boyfriend, this is the number one place we go to for everyday household items, ice cream and 18 packs of bud. They constantly rock hits from the 80s, 90s and today. As soon as I walk in the door I'm in a good mood.

This place is a convenience/liquor store and definitely not a market, which is why I'm confused why the clerk at the store questions female customers about their alcohol purchase. I get that he is not from this country and probably not used to women purchasing alcohol, but he should learn that women in this country have as much right to purchase alcohol as men do

Sometimes you don't want walk to a full fledged grocery store to get a handful of items or you're lazy want to grab a Coke Zero. It's small but it has the basics. There's a lot of convenience stores in the area, but I prefer the relative cleanliness and Yogi has decent selection for its size, sells non-expired food (unlike some others), ATM out front.Clerks are pretty friendly. Rating 4 stars cause recently I ran out of quarters for laundry, and the cashier helped me change up even though I didn't buy anything that trip (dumped some pennies in the take a penny leave a penny bowl).
