Came here for their happy hour. Loved their $3 beer and sake. They offered BOGO at 50% (discount taken from the lowest rolls).In terms of taste, they used the same salty sauce on most of their rolls. They started to all tasted the same to me. I preferred sushi kuu due to better quality and freshness in their sashimi.

Ordered Door Dash and delivery was quick, which was nice. We tried four rolls.. Red Dragon: Shrimp tempura, cucumber, tuna, avocado topped with crab meat and tobiko.Crispy Roll: Tuna, yellowtail, salmon and cream cheese inside then deep fried.Sakura: Avocado, crab meat, cucumber topped with tuna and tobiko.Philadelphia: Smoked salmon and cream cheese, and avocado.The Philly was standard... nothing interesting to report there... and out of the other rolls we liked the Crispy Roll best. It was still warm, and crunchy on the outside when it arrived - which was great... but the downside was that I couldn't tell the different flavors apart. It seemed like the yellowtail overpowered the rest. On the other two rolls, we both thought the texture of the tuna was strange. It didn't taste bad but it was too firm... and just... odd. Maybe cut from a less tender part of the fish? I don't know but I didn't care for it. Bottom line, it was ok but I'm still hunting for a local place that wows me.

I ordered delivery from Yama for a few years. It was always quite good, and I frequently ordered sashimi. One day, I ordered some sashimi that arrived covered with pearly sludge. The sludgy sashimi was stinky. It was quite simply, not correct. I got in touch with Yama to request a refund for the sashimi (not the rest of the order, which was fine - just the smelly sashimi in the slime sauce). Unfortunately, they questioned me at length about this, and not in a good way; they suggested that I didn't know how to tell when a raw fish had gone bad. I ate sashimi a minimum of once a week, and have eaten other foods by mouth in the decades I've been alive. so I have had plenty of lived experience behind my decision not to eat something that set off warning alarms in three out of my five senses. The way I was treated that day led me to stop ordering from Yama after that. I was sad about that, but IMO you can't take any chances with raw fish; I think most people feel like they prefer/need a high level of trust in their raw fish purveyor, and I didn't have that anymore at Yama.

We were in the area so decided to pick up some Japanese food from Yama. I was really impressed with their speediness in preparing and delivering my order. I was happy that they were also responsive to my special (or picky) foodie requests (ie: extra sauce, separating ramen and soup) . They are also flexible in their restaurant hours: open for a morning/lunch shift and then again at 4:30 PM to the evening. Usually, restaurants don't open in the evening until 5 PM. For those who need an early dinner, this extra half hour comes in handy. Because of the pandemic, we ordered some takeout items for a quick small dinner. Yama can be found on Doordash for delivery and the prices were a bit inflated compared to the other Japanese restaurants I usually order from. However, I'm still glad they were fast in delivery. Spider Roll - 2.5 out of 5. The sushi was tasty but I was disappointed there were only 6 pieces in one order. I was planning to share this between the two of us as part of the dinner. Although each sushi was pretty big, there wasn't much condiments inside the sushi as I had expected (ie: avocado). Also, after eating a couple, it got pretty dry because there wasn't much sauce inside. Ducka Ramen - 3 out of 5. I'm happy they followed my request in separating the ramen and soup broth. Pro tip, you should request this whenever ordering soup base dishes for takeout to avoid the noodles from overcooking and tasting too soft when it arrives to your place! The flavor was great and really brought out the flavor of the chicken broth. I was hoping they could give us more protein to compliment the noodles. Still, the broth was great for a cold winter day.

Just got my door dash order, ordered kappa maki, spicy tuna roll, and hamachi sashimi. Whoever made the sushi today 12-13-23 1:10pm, great job. Great rice ratio, rolled nice and tight. The sashimi was very fresh. I don't remember this place being so affordable and having good sushi. We will continue to order from here as long as the quality remains the same. Awesome job!!!

We ordered takeout. About $18 for a 3 item bento box at dinner. Salmon, nigiri (sushi) and shioyaki ( salted fish ) ,salad ,rice, and Miso soup. The salmon is the size of half my palm, grilled well with slight char, and a slightly sweet teriyaki sauce, shioyaki ( salted fish )was not too salty and beautifully grilled, and finally the veggie tempura slightly crisp in spite of the takeout situation. Might order takeout again but am certain eat in is fresher, particularly the tempura. If I could offer some advise it'd be I wish the rice was not so sticky and fused together and that the fish portion was slightly larger. I would return and recommend Yama
