Great local produce market! I have been shopping here for many years. For a small space, they have a great selection of fruits and vegetables. I've generally found everything I need and the prices are normal/comparable to your larger supermarkets. When I first started shopping here they mainly had staple produce, but over the years they have expanded the selection to include changing neighborhood demand: acme bread, some basic cheeses, and some international pantry items. The people are generally friendly too. An older man once rung me up, who I believe is one of the owners, and told me to pick different peaches because the ones I chose may be too ripe and go bad soon. I appreciated this a lot.

Nice little neighborhood grocery store. It's mainly produce and some other every day food items. Not expensive at all. The store is very clean, organized and the staff are friendly and efficient. Great local shop.

This is a nice neighborhood produce market. They have most things one would need or want in terms of fruit, vegetables and some pantry staples. I love that they have Acme bread here. The produce is fresh and reasonably priced.I appreciate that they started to add more international food products, which seem to have been collected with quite a bit of care.Metered parking is available outside and is plentiful. This market has been a part of West Portal for so long and fits right in.

This is a great produce store. They carry Lacinato Kale (my favorite) and all the fruits and veggies I like to eat. The produce is always fresh. Street parking is usually plentiful if you go early in the day.

I needed some groceries for the week and I decided to get some pasta, tuna, artichoke sauces, and a drink. It seemed gourmet enough. It should last me at least 3 days. It was fun to browse this market in West Portal. It's been in existence for 20 years and run by a Korean guy. They have a lot of fruits and vegetables and it's not a meat market(or seafood). It's hard to say what the international flavor is because there isn't one.

I stood in line to purchase a pint of half and half milk. After the transaction ahead of me completed and the customer left, the YOUNG girl cashier turned her back a.way to help her YOUNG MALE clerk pack his customer's groceries. I noticed her whispering to him. She then turned to me while she tapped her hands on the table. I walked over and looked up to her and asked her if their store carries 'Pickled White Herring' (most of their gourmet goods are catered to the European taste). She shook her head, whispered again to her colleague and then left. The cost was $1.99, I handed a $5.00 bill and this young man was slow in giving me change. In hindsight, BOTH cashiers, in spite of being Asian Americans unconsciously acted out their subtle racial profiling. As a Paying Customer, their Actions are Very Disrespectful & Very Unprofessional.I am very hurt because I am an Asian American who looks 'Latina' or Spanish. I will set foot and NEVER refer anyone to this store. There are many neighborhood stores that are INCLUSIVE of ALL Cultures, regardless of what they look like.
