We were next door getting snacks when my friend noticed the Power Ball jackpot was up in $500+ million range. She wanted to buy some lottery tickets. Wayne's Liquor had a variety of alcoholic drinks with different price ranges. While waiting for my friend to play her scratchers, I decided to get some vodka. They had a small bottle of Smirnoff for $10. That hit the spot on a mid afternoon work day.

I have been coming here for years. In fact, I remember when Nelson, the current owner, bought this place from Wayne--this store still bears his name. This store is very convenient if you are on this part of Kearny Street. Although this store may be pretty small, it sells things you may need, such as liquor, cigarettes, soft drinks, candy, snacks and Lottery Tickets and Scratchers. Nelson and his wife have done a great job of running this store for so many years.

First time I've been to Wayne's liquor in Chinatown on a Saturday afternoon. They have a huge selection of water, variety of beers, wines, liquors, gummy candy, snacks, bananas, and lotto tickets. The staff was really nice when I was there and for their hard liquor the prices are on the lower side on some of stuff such as Hennesey VSOP and Hennesey XO. The place is pretty small as other yelpers had mentioned but everything is clean and neatly organized so you can just get in and out. Friendly staff. If I am in the area I will be back!

I lived in a residential hotel on the same block as this place for my first few months in the city. You can understand, I hope, what a profound thing it was to have a liquor store which shared my name so close, and where that fit into the whole residential hotel experience...It's one of those hole in the wall places, without much unique charm. If you're there for liquor, the selection is better than you might expect, although the prices are just a touch gougy. They do furnish some very cheap beer, though, so you can drink at any budget. If you're looking for anything that doesn't contain alcohol, you won't have any options; there are cigarettes and sodas and a few grabby items, but most of the inventory here is of the boozy variety. Which is, I guess, as it should be.The women who work the counter here are friendly and welcoming, which is an endearing break from the norm. I'm pretty sure this is a family-run place, as once or twice there was a girl working behind the counter who couldn't have been more than sixteen. She was nice, too. There are places nearby where you can save a quarter or two on your miserable vices, but this little shop stands out as the sort of place you can feel okay about your money ending up.

Haven't seen as bad an attitude from the shop owner as this one in quite a while. Popped in to buy lottery tickets but when I cheerfully greeted him the grumpy middle-aged shop keeper acted as if I disturbed his nap or something (he was standing at the lottery counter of all places). I handed him the cash and he threw the ticket on the counter. If you don't wanna sell lotto tickets, don't sell them instead of acting like an a-hole.
