Vic’s Winehouse on Fillmore

This is fantastic local spot to see live music! The owner, Vic is also a performer and has an amazing voice. Ambiance is cozy and inviting. We wouldn't hesitate to go back for another evening of fun.

It took a beat for me to notice but I did: this "winehouse" is also a "Winehouse". That is: it's an Amy Winehouse-themed wine bar. I love that. The interior is intimate, creative, and funky, the wine list fun and wide-ranging, and the service friendly and endearing. A bottle of Cass GSM (Paso Robles; $62) was enjoyed here and enjoyed even more was the fact that it was the priciest of bottles on the menu; All others fell in the $46-$58 range, representing what I consider to be a reasonable and acceptable mark-up. On my way to dinner elsewhere, I didn't get a chance to try their food offerings (empanadas, cheese board, sweets) nor was I able to stick around for the live music (no cover on this weekday evening). I've a hunch this unassuming spot will rocket from a solid 4-stars to a worthy 5-stars when I return on the evening of an Amy Winehouse Tribute Show. I mean: how could it not?

Not going to wax poetic on this one...it was just okay. Happy hour prices and selection? Mid. Service? Not overly friendly, but fine. The highlight? Live music and a cozy little alcove in the back where I got to catch up with two old friends.Would I go out of my way to return? Nope. But was it a terrible experience? Also nope. Just one of those places that exists in the realm of "meh."

Cozy intimate wine bar with a small selection of food. As the name suggests, it pays tribute to Amy Winehouse. I think also a play on words as some rooms have a living room vibe like a wine house. Clever.Speaking with the waitress, I learned Vic is short for Victoria's Winehouse, and that the owner also sings and dresses as Amy Winehouse a few times during the year. TLDR: Had a full circle moment coming here. Years ago pre-Covid I went to an Amy Winehouse band that headlined at another jazz venue - turned out the owner is the same singer! That was one of my fav nights since I love Amy Winehouse music. So imagine the joy to serendipitously come across this neighborhood bar.Love the chill laid back vibes, live music and kind staff. Will definitely be back.

I've lived in the area for a little over 2 years now, and have wanted to stop by--just couldn't find the time until recently. I really enjoyed the vibes here! It's a lowkey wine bar that plays live jazz starting at around 9pm. There are a few tables, a bar, and some nooks that are reserved for parties of 3+. I really appreciated that and thought the ambiance was extremely cozy, not too loud (until the music started ofc), and relaxing.Wine selection is par for course, but there are fun flight options, sangria & hot mulled wine, as well as a few beers. Everything is quite reasonably priced. We didn't get to try any of the food, but it seemed like a lot of people were ordering the empanadas. I'll have to come back and try the bar food another time.It was pretty empty up until 9-10 pm, and I can tell a lot of neighborhood regulars stop in. I'm glad that I decided to visit, and will be back since it's so close by!

What an ambiance!! The live music and jazz was so on point in an intimate ish setting. Also loved the decor outside and hanging flowers ( which I love when restaurants do this). We got the Russian river flight - one white, one rose, and two reds. Really great way to try a few choices and $25 for four is amazing. Also got empanadas which I liked a lot. Will definitely be back here again.

place was cute but you really pay for the ambience more than anything... cheese board was a pathetic collection of mid cheeses sliced w only four grapes. like damn if you're going to charge $15 for this at least prepare the brie properly. apple crumble was more mush than crumble but if i was drunker it would've been great. Lovely live music though, the only thing saving this place.

The atmosphere is laid back and fun..,music was amazing as well. Can't wait to go back !
