1299 Valencia St San Francisco, CA 94110I was in the area, and saw these nice plump navel oranges on display outside. Upon closer inspection, they were grown in the USA and didn't have a blemish on them. $1.49/lb, so I got 5. OMG, juicy and sweet! Cashier was very nice and polite.I will return when I'm in the area again.

I've been coming here for years for the BEST PEANUT BUTTER you can find anywhere. Even Gus's just doesn't compare. I'm so moved by it I decided to Yelp about it to share the joy. I give this PB as gifts and people go NUTS for it (pun intended). This is a SMALL BATCH MADE DAILY PEANUT BUTTER. It's impossible to find anywhere else. They only make 10 per day and like the SemiFreddis bread, it pretty much always sells out. However, if you kindly ask them when they are sold out they'll mix a fresh batch for you right then and there (this discovery obliterated my fear that it will always be sold out, enabling me to publicly share this secret).

LOVE this place. Has pretty much everything you need, I don't know how they manage to cram it all into this small space. Great selection, convenient location, fresh produce, and reasonable prices. No need to go to large grocery chains anymore (except if you want more meat/fish options). Feels good to shop local and the family running the store is always so sweet :) Get their fresh squeezed orange juice!

I don't know what I would do without Valencia Farmers Market! This little corner store never fails to have excellent produce, and every herb you could think of. They also have a huge variety of dry goods inc pasta, bulk nuts and grains, canned veggies, etc. they stock clover dairy products and even kombucha. On top of the great variety and quality, prices are really good for a small and convenient corner store. The owners are so kind and helpful as well!!

TL;DR - great little shop. The prices here are really reasonable! There's not a deli counter - so no meat - but you can get tons of produce, bread, dry goods, and dairy products. I love getting tomatoes, Persian cucumbers, spinach, and more here. What I love most is that they have arugula and mixed greens that you can get freely and it weighs per pound. That means you can make yourself a salad for less than $1 if done right and add your tomatoes and cheese and dressing at home. Yummy! The store is run by Cambodians and they're so friendly and nice. I'm part Cambodian and we had a little chat. So nice!

This is a wonderful tiny market in the Mission district whose size belies its quality. Usually tiny bodegas like this are characterized by a lack of fresh fruits and veggies and dominated by liquor and unhealthy snacks. However, I was surprised to see that they not only have veggies/ fruit, it is high-quality stuff (with some organic) at reasonable prices, esp. considering it is in SF.They also get an extra star for carrying one of my favorite coffees, Peerless, which i did not know started in San Francisco back in the 1920s. If you visit, don't forget to pop by Arizmendi across the street.

This is such a great little corner market that has all the staples- fresh fruits and veggies, eggs, fresh bread, dairy products, canned goods. Their produce is very reasonably priced. The best thing about coming here though is the people who work here. They are so warm and seem to remember everyone. When I shop here I feel like I am a part of an intimate community- an experience which is rare in the city. I only wish I lived a little closer so this could be my main shopping spot!!!

This place is the best! I live nearby and shop here often. I love that I'm able to get most of what I need here without frequenting a larger supermarket (or breaking the bank). They have a surprisingly large selection of produce for the size of the store. The fruit and veggie selection is is typically fresh and reasonably priced, and there are often organic options. They tend to stock mostly organic/healthier-type items across the board (I personally appreciate the cage free, local eggs, and nicer bread products like Alvarado St), at prices that are often a full dollar or more less per item than Whole Foods or other, similar stores in the area. They also stock a variety of international items and pantry staples that come in handy when you're making a recipe that calls for something a little obscure... Just look around (the aisles are literally filled to the ceiling with stuff) or ask someone, and they'll most likely have some form of what you need. And did I mention the orange juice they squeeze fresh to order at affordable prices?! The only things they don't have that I buy from a grocery store on occasion are meat, fish and alcohol.Customer service is great; they are reasonably friendly, remember regulars and keep the store very clean and easy to navigate (and don't mind helping you find something if you need help). I will keep coming here as long as I live in the Mission!
