Came on a Sunday night around 5:30pm and was luckily able to get seated right away for a table of two. Service was good and fast. Got all of our food within 10-15 minutes. I will say the dishes are on the smaller side, so you may want to get some dessert afterwards if you have a large appetite. Chicken karaage: (4.5/5) very juicy and not dry inside. They were also fairly crispy. The dipping sauce was nice as it had small chunks of onion in it and was similar to a tartar sauce. Oxtail udon: (5/5) delicious! Even though we ordered spicy, it was pretty mild. You can taste the red pepper seasoning very well. The oxtail was soft & the udon had a nice chew to it, which is the texture I like. For the broth, it wasn't overly fatty at all and was pleasant to drink. Uzumakiya Udon: (4/5) my wife got this one and was happy with the broth and udon. However, she didn't really get much chashu. the few pieces she did get were pretty fatty. In addition, the chashu wasn't the most flavorful compared to other popular ramen shops.

I went on a holiday Monday so the line was pretty short -- we were only second in line so we only waited about 10 minutes. The restaurant is very small but the guest turnover is pretty fast if there are only parties of 2 or 4. There were only two front-of-house staff and yet they worked super quickly. After we got seated and placed our order, our order arrived within 5 minutes. We took our time eating our food -- everything was so tasty! -- paid, and were done and out of the restaurant in less than 30 minutes! Fastest satisfying restaurant meal ever! We hear someone comment that their chicken karaage was 5/5, so we had to try it, and indeed it did not disappoint. We also tried a bowl of their standard Niku Udon (dashi broth), and a bowl of their Uzumakiya Udon (oxtail broth). Both were good, but I liked the oxtail broth more -- it was more unique and flavorful, whereas the dashi broth was more familiar and traditional. Their udon is slightly thinner than the traditional udon that I'm used to. Overall great experience -- very good food, very good and fast service, and best of all I didn't have to wait very long today!

Uzumakiy udon 4/5 - this was good but I don't think it's the best udon I've had. It's still good but I wish the broth was a bit more rich. The pork also was not as tender as I hoped for Karage 5/5 - this was really good and crunchy! The flavor was also good and meat was juicy. Came on a Saturday night and got seated within 5 mins

Yummy udon place! I got the Niku Udon but my girlfriend got the Uzumakiya Udon and I think I would get that one next time. The broth is really fatty but filling and there's more things to the Uzumakiya Udon than the Niku one in my opinion. We also got the potato fries as an appetizer and I really liked them, would come again! Staff was nice, just a little awkward lol

I've been here a handful of times throughout the years and I think it's a solid spot for udon. The service is wonderful and the employees are all very friendly. The most recent time, I got the uzumakiya udon and shared the chicken karaage. Chicken karaage was good! I'm used to having a kewpie mayo dipping sauce, but the one here came with a sauce I wasn't familiar with that had a light brown color with the consistency of tartar sauce. It was interesting but still good. Since the sauce was chunky, it didn't stick to the chicken that well. My uzumakiya udon was good too! Broth is very fragrant and smelled/tasted great. Loved the lotus root chips on top - fried and crispy. Beef chashu had good balance of fat and lean cuts. One thing to note is that the udon here is thinner than typical udon but I think it works well here. Would come back!

Saw this place while scrolling through yelp and decided to try it! It was a nice homey vibe to the restaurant and the staff was nice. Got seated right away and ordering was fast since there wasn't too many items to select from. The food also came out pretty fast and hot. I am a very big fan of shishito peppers so when i saw they had a tempura version I had to try it! It was just the right amount of salt and crispness. The oxtail udon was to die for! The broth is very hearty and flavorful. The niku udon was okay, kinda reminded me of maugames as it was nothing special. I would say though, the portions are on the smaller side in comparison to the price. Even though I was full, I would've enjoyed more than 2 pieces of char sui in bowl.

I've long been a fan of Kemuri's oxtail udon; I crave it from time to time. So when I found that Uzumakia specializes in oxtail udon, I had to try it. I came on a weekday once, and a weekend another time, and was glad to find both times that while they're busy, it's not too difficult to get a table, and the environment is pretty chill. Service was no-fuss and quick both times. The oxtail udon is legit! The oxtain broth has such delicious, intense flavors, and udon was cooked just right; the udon comes with a couple good-size pieces of oxtail too. The price is reasonable too. When we came a second time, I tried to tantan udon, also with a oxtail broth based; it was good, but I still prefer the regular oxtail udon. That'll be my goto dish on future visits!

I've been here maybe twice and I think their udon is okay. It's not bad but it's not memorable. My bf got the spicy oxtail and I got the regular and we shared a chicken karage. The broth and noodle are flavorful and fresh. The staff are also really nice and we got a free ice cream dessert from posting on our social media, love when restaurants do freebies!

A decent bowl of noodles with a slightly non-traditional noodles which are thinner than typical udon. The dashi broth is solid, though it leaned toward being too salty by the end, especially with the addition of the sukiyaki beef, which was also quite salty.I felt the flavors could have been elevated with a bit of spice, like Japanese red pepper flakes, but unfortunately, these seemed to be an extra charge rather than readily available at the table. Adding this would have enhanced the overall flavor balance. Still, a solid option for a comforting bowl of noodles.

The udon here is on the slightly more expensive side but the portion of tempura was quite large and the sanuki udon was very traditional! While I stuck to the more basic tempura udon, my friends had the oxtail broth here and loved it. This reminded me of Futago Udon in Boston in terms of the balance between traditional and unique offerings (which I also highly recommend).I'd love to come back to try more of the menu and support a Japanese business!
