I love having this corner market close by. The guys are always friendly and helpful. Do they ever have a bad day? Many times I pop in there for Acme Bread, chips, a pint of ice cream (lots of flavors), milk or eggs. But one of the things I look forward to is picking up a bottle or two of wine when I have company coming over. In the room off the main one there is the usual selection in the refrigerator case and on the floor. But, if you look, there are always interesting bottles here and there that are not common for a small corner store. And the best thing.... The prices on these finds are better than the prices you will find if going down to Safeway for something. Lately, I've been wanting to switch over to beer - IPAs actually. I didn't know a couple of the guys working there were so into beer tasting.... until I asked about one of the brands. You know that excitement someone automatically shows when they can't wait to tell you about their favorite? Definitely recommend this corner grocery for all of the reasons I mentioned.

Moved to the neighborhood recently and this market has everything you would want it too, and is open every day from 8 to 10! Leo is such a friendly owner, and gave us all free Madeleines when we told him it was our first time! Cannot wait to go back.

I love to hop in for a coffee right before a small city hike. The staff is very always friendly. Would recommend to stop by for a snack if you are in the area.

We live two blocks away and are really appreciative of this market. Staff are always cheerful and it's quite convenient that they always seem to have what we need. Also they have a great wine shop in the store!

Well it's good because it's there at the corner of my street and very convenient for essentials and wine and anything you may have run out of. But the lack of price labels on most chilled items is a bit off-putting and the service is efficient but not very welcoming. So I'm glad it's there and will continue to use it for emergencies but it's not a great shopping experience.

A mediocre market in this spot would do fine-there are a lot of houses and little competition, so ok is plenty good enough. But this is a very good market-great wine and particularly champagne selection, good mix of normal and odd dry goods, and really superb service-my first time in they welcomed me to the neighborhood and told me to let them know if there was a thing I wanted that they don't have. That sort of thing really makes me want to come back.

EDIT 12-11-07I will not be going to this market anymore. The counterperson was rude. I had used a debit card to get money back on a purchase and was not given the money before I left the store. When I realized the error and called back to recitify the situation, I was told that I could not get the money back since I left the store, even though he hadn't given me the money before I left, and the counterperson hung up on me when I tried to discuss the matter with him further. Bad customer service

Friendly, neighborhood corner store, with a really good wine selection. Prices are also relatively reasonable, considering the convenience of walking a few blocks to get what you want or need in a pinch. Plus, you're supporting a local business that always has friendly, helpful staff!

I live in the neighborhood and this is an EXCELLENT market! They have anything you might need -- organic almond milk, eggs, Burma love salad kits, kombucha, as well as tons of wine & your everyday essentials (toilet paper, paper towels, etc.). Plus, they have a great ice cream selection!
