This was close to my hotel but the owner definitely upcharges where he can. I bought a bottle of tonic that was expired. I didn't think I'd have to check the date. It was flat when I opened it. Beer was more expensive than other locations. Shop around and you will find better prices and service.

The owner is the most rude person in San Francisco !I went into his store to purchase some wine when there was not even one other customer in his store. I was finishing a phone at the time and he started screaming at me and threatening me!!I feared for my life!!!

Walking distance from our hotel made this an easy choice. It is a bonus when in a new city that you find a nice liquor shop to go to that doesn't make you feel uneasy about taking your wife along. Friendly and helpful staff guided us to a selection of wines that we thought we would enjoy. In and out and back to the room to see if we chose wisely!Thank you

Such kind gentleman running the store! Incredibly helpful and take the time to answer any questions. They are familiar with their products, and items are reasonably priced. Will definitely be coming here again

I recently purchased a nice ($60) bottle of Pinot Noir here. I brought it to a dinner party hosted by two chefs. Someone opened the wine, poured it into a decanter, and it became immediately apparent that the wine was corked. When I brought the bottle/cork back and explained that it was corked to the two men that manage this store, they started screaming at me. They had remembered that I took my time picking a bottle (reading reviews?) and told me this wasn't their fault and to call the 'company' (presumably they mean vineyard). When I informed them that I would contact my bank regarding this charge, one of the men started screaming at me and told me to 'get the f**k out of his store.' This was the most confrontational experience I have ever had at a wine shop. This place is probably fine for spirits, but PLEASE find a better store with educated management if you intend on buying any wines.

Convenient location with a halfway decent selection crammed in there. However, it's very overpriced and the service is always rude and condescending. Just walk a block up to Bush and support a different local business that appreciates the patronage and has substantially lower prices #RipOff

Well stocked small liquor store. They had smallBottles of Glenlivet 18 year for 29.99 which I felt was very reasonable. They also had the bottles of Veuve For 69.99 which was a realistic price point based on the city. The two men working the counter were very nice and helpful.

So the owner replies to my review with a completely false statement. The interaction happened as I laid out in. I am changing the story at this point does not change my review, opinion of the store, or opinion of him

Unbelievably prejudiced, bigoted, and full of insecurity at least the way they treated me. Simply because of my somewhat disheveled hair/beard look or something despite showering and having pretty clean clothes it seems like they assume i am some thieving bum trying to steal fromthem or something. First of all they requested in a pretty judgmental tone i did not have a problem with initially simply requesting that i leave my bags by the door, which is fine as is pretty standard for many businesses, and i didnot hesitate to leave my bags by the door or complain as they requested even with the dismissiveness i sensed in their tone. i was truly interested in purchasing some heirloom whiskey or craft beer too, and was talking to them like a normal person and a friendly genuinely interested customer. then when i was simply grabbing my wallet from my bag by the door they told me to leave that they did not need my business. I tried to reassure them calmly that i was simply obtaining my wallet It but they wouldnt listen at all! It seemed pretty clear to me in their subtly judgmental and close-minded/dismissive tone that they were just dead set on viewing people that looked at all like they might be impoverished as pieces ofsh*t who deserved to be hated on and treated like they were worthless. this is what really bugged me and i hope they lose a fair number of business because it until they make up for disrespecting people so unfairly! especially since that i know of i have not stolen anything knowingly in my life! Get checked small minded fools! but ultimately godbless
