Uji Time Dessert

Amazing!!So refreshing & high quality matcha. I got the matcha soft serve & added matcha powder & red beans. It was sooo tasty. The matcha was very strong & not overly sweet which I appreciated. Would definitely recommend checking it out!

(Overall: B) - My friend and I were eager to try their seasonal orange flavor taiyaki soft serve, which gives strong resemblance of the orange cream soda, a delicate balance between an artificially sweet orange and vanilla that is quite pleasant. The soft serve is indeed soft, but also does not melt immediately unlike Somi Somi, which is great. I love how this small shop has an abundance of unique Asian flavored ice cream that is definitely a draw. The staff are reasonably as nice as well. Uji Time?! You mean Yummy Time! I am not a huge dessert person, but I always have time for Uji Time! There's something about that delicious soft serve and warm taiyaki fish cones that just bring so much joy to my belly. My friends and I had just eaten a huge lunch and we were craving something sweet. This place was the perfect spot!The soft serves are full of flavor, but not overly sweet or heavy. Tucked away in a mall or movie food court, this little spot is awesome! I got the Black Sesame with an Oreo and sprinkles in a taiyaki with nutella. I know that sounds like a lot, but it is honestly perfection. They have a few other flavors like matcha and vanilla that you can swirl.They also have some seasonal flavors too. This time it was Watermelon which tasted like a light watermelon bubblegum flavor. We had just missed the seasonal peach which would have tasted great too. Can't wait to get my hands on another taiyaki!

Decided to check this place out after a huge meal. Despite my full blown stomach, the matcha and sesame swirl I got was still soooo good. Living at a location where these Asian flavors are not available, I may be biased but definitely consider checking this place out! FYI- no chairs/dining tables are available here.

Back in Downtown San Francisco and it's hot in the city. San Francisco is having a heatwave this week and there a few places where you can enjoy a dessert inside some air conditioning with seats and tables and steps outside where can layout on artificial turf grass and enjoy the shade . It's inside and outside the Metreon food court there is a place where you cool off and enjoy a tasty cold ice cream dessert. Uji Time dessert has lots of flavors to choose from and I wanted to try two in particular. White peach and Watermelon. The White peach ice cream in a cup( I have a hunch there may have hint of vanilla ) was so refreshing . I was feeling refresh and it was not too sweet as I like that way. The flavor was as almost eating a slice of a cold white peach fruit with an ice cream kick to it. The watermelon ice cream was on a Taiyaki cone and it smooth and not so sweet. It's a more light watermelon taste (with a lite bubble gum taste). Uji Time is the first place in San Francisco and the Bay Area to offer the Taiyaki soft cream. When it's time to refresh go to Uji Time Dessert in the heart of Downtown San Francisco. I've been to two other Uji Time locations, and they've always been fairly consistent. No surprise that this one was solid as well. However, this location has slightly fewer options. There wasn't any black sesame soft serve, and there were fewer options for toppings. The nice thing is that there was no line here on a weekend around 7:30pm. Service was friendly and quick as well.

S/o to the girl who replaced my taiyaki because it fell to the floor ‍ I got my dessert & it consisted of ube ice cream, marsh mellow charms, & match powder!! It's so cold out here but I needed to try this & did not disappoint!! Better than somi somi it's located inside of food court next to target! There's no ambiance since it's just pick up and go, enjoy ((-:

I don't even know what to say about this. There are no analogous experiences. I was the most feckless, ridiculous customer ever. I didn't know how to order, I pushed a button and canceled my transaction, and I changed my order after the fact. I also am pretty sure I broke their receipt machine just by standing near it.I had no idea what I was doing; I just knew there were insane smells and some kind of cronchy biscuit fish and ice cream and that I NEEDED SOME. In the afterworld, if you've lived a good life, kissed many puppies and defended the sacred lake with a band of noble friends, this is what they serve you for dessert.

Stopped by Friday after work. No wait at all. My husband heard about Uji selling lychee ice cream pints at some grocery stores and so we stopped by to see if they had any. The staff told us they had sold out. It's been a while since I had Uji and I didn't even know they sold pints aside from soft serve and taiyaki. We were about to leave when the staff said if we liked fruity ice cream, we might like the goji berry because it also has lychee. It was such a great recommendation! We loved it. It actually has more lychee flavor than goji. It was $5.50 for a 5oz cup. Sweet tooth craving satisfied!

This Uji Time is right at the entrance of Metreon if you're entering from the street level (and not the park area). It's a bit small but they definitely have all the options and flavors of a typical Uji Time storefront. There's usually two workers so if there are those moments where there's 3-6 groups waiting for an order, there can be an extra 10-15 minute wait depending on what was ordered. I love their soft serve and their portions are quite generous. I usually just get the soft serve in a cup as the soft serve melts quite quickly in the taiyaki and turns it soggy.
