This place serves out of a garage which gives it a ton of character. We got there right before opening and there was already a line of people waiting. Thankfully we were able to get a seat. The inside of the restaurant is cozy and small and despite the small aisles and space, service was fast and efficient. Food was at a 10. We had the following: - Seafood pancake- Wings- Spicy pork- Beef bulgogi- Beef Kimchi Fried Rice - Corn Cheese- Soju; Strawberry and Lychee (not pictured)The seafood pancake and the wings are on our must order if you come here. I'm not the biggest fan of a seafood mix item but this was amazing! I was pleasantly surprised with how much I liked it. It was #1 on the list for the night. Wings were crispy, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. I included a pic of the inside of the wing so you can see for yourself. The soju is also a must!! It's made in house I believe and it was so delish. We had two kinds- they both had some texture to it as like I mentioned I think they puree the fruit themselves into the soju. I would highly recommend you order. Everything else was amazing but I will say the corn cheese did need more kewpie or something- the cheese didn't have an adhesive to the corn which caused them to separate and make it hard to pick up from the dish. Over all 4.5 stars but you know we can't give halves on here Will be back again!!!

I came here from seeing it appear on many TikTok videos I saw on my feed. I came on a Saturday night around 9 pm and was very happy that they were opened past midnight. There was only one party ahead of us when we arrived so the wait was not very long. The ambience of this place was very cute as it was in the garage space of a sunset home. There was quite a lot of seating even though we were sat pretty close to other parties. They also had a service bell which made it easy to call someone over to order food.We ordered 3 items, the shrimp fried rice, spicy chicken wings and kimchi stew. The best of the 3 items was the spicy chicken wings. There was no spice on it surprisingly but it was very crispy and juicy. The shrimp fried rice was good as well with a good amount of flavor and a generous portion. Our least favorite item was the kimchi stew as it was on the saltier side. Definitely needed rice to eat it. The presentation was great as it was on a gas stove, so definitely would recommend for the ambiance.

I've been coming here about once a month for a year now and it has truly never disappointed whenever I'm craving late night, comforting korean food! Most recently, I tried the cheese kimchi pancake which was SO good. It's definitely going to be a staple order moving forward! I always get the army stew and the chicken wings and both are so so good! Another great choice is the tofu kimchi -- so filling! This spot always has great service, easy parking, and really good food with huge portions!

All I can say is 10/10. Kimchi fried rice was one of the bests we have had in awhile! The Rice Cake Tteokbokki is a must get. It comes with so many pieces of sausage, and we added fish cake. We also got the army stew which was so warming and flavorful. So much food, so homey, and so reasonably priced! Such a fun place to drink with friends as well!

Went for my friend's birthday. It was super delicious. The topokkie amazing. And I really liked the seafood pancake. It is really small, but feels very cozy and not cramped. The servers were nice and checked on us often.

This have been my go-to favorite Korean restaurant for +10 years. The food is always so good no matter what you get. It's in a converted house so a small space but a cool intimate aesthetic. There aren't words enough for how much I love this restaurant so if you want great food with great service give Toyose a try.

One of my go to spots in SF for Korean food! Recently visited on a Saturday night right at opening and was seated right away. A line formed quickly after. Service was quick and staff were attentive. Nice spot to catch up with friends and family over delicious food!

Toyose also known as the Korean garage in the AVES . My first visit until now the decor is the same yet the menu has simplified. True classic staples kimchi fried rice, whole fried chicken, army stew. Please bring back the Jok Bal please This place taught me what soju is. Before BTS days it was Big Bang- Haru Haru. Some 20 years later it's still gigging. Looking around reminding of my youth it hurt more when they didn't card me when I realized I was one of the oldest in the room now, This place still has the best kimchi fried rice still tho. While I'm at the gas station , to the same 12 people liking my post yall want anything ?

This Korean restaurant was affordable, delicious, and perfect for sharing with its generous portions. The flavors were spot-on, and the dishes felt like real comfort food. Definitely make sure to order the cheese corn--it's a must-have!My only minor complaint is that they didn't serve any Banchan (the traditional small side dishes), which is something I always look forward to in a Korean meal. Also, the chopsticks felt a bit cheap; it would've been a nice touch to have the classic flat metal ones instead. Overall, though, a great spot for an affordable and satisfying meal!

My second time coming here was with my friend. I love how authentic and homey the restaurant feels. I also like that it's open late. The tables are fairly close to each other so it's better for smaller groups. Service was fast and the waiters were friendly. We shared the Bulgogi, Soft Tofu Stew, and Kimchi and Seafood Pancake. The tofu stew and pancake were repeat orders from the first time I ate here, and both were delicious! The bulgogi on the other hand was chewy and dry. The color was more dark gravy than brown. Almost like it was boiled, which was interesting considering it was on a sizzling plate.
