Tortas Boos Voni

Its been 4years since I left my hometown of SF. It's been 5 years since I have eaten a torta from Boos Vani. Today I was visiting with some friends who i brought from oout of town, and knew I had to get a torta. Not only are the tortas as good as I remember, they are also the same price!Hands down the best torta i have ever eaten, but possible the biggest as well. Can never go wrong with the Milanesa de Pollo.

The absolute BEST Carnè Asada Torta you will ever eat!! So unique, and that Bread my goodness! Been coming here for over a decade. Don't expect anything fancy from the place, the area sucks. But man oh man, if you want a fire Torta try this place out. One note, they are huge!

Wow - think this might be the best "cheap eats" sandwich in San Francisco. Got the pierna (leg) sandwich. That thing was gi-nourmous and really tasty.Wasn't hard to park in the neighborhood. Super friendly. Clean.I didn't eat dinner yesterday.

The tortas are delicious ! Size is huge 2-3 people could eat from just one. My favorite was the carne asada one , the mixture of flavors was great. the bread was toasted to perfection. Other great mention is the cubana , not traditional as they put sausage in it but hearty and tasty. Milanesa de pollo also deserves a chefs kiss .

if you're in the Excelsior and want solid tortas at a very fair price, Boos Voni is the spot. The tortas are big enough for two meals, and always delicious. Also a fan of their pozole de puerco colorado. It's on special fairly frequently and always hits the spot.

Boos Voni makes a tasty torta. I had the #1 milanesa de res (steak) $9.75 and chips and salsa $1. It was a big sandwich to finish in one sitting. The bread was toasty and soft. The thin steak was tender and flavorful. Mine didn't come with any lettuce and too many jalapenos. It had a spicy kick to it. Next time, I'll hold off on the jalapenos and ask for lettuce. Good job staff at Boos Voni.

I've ordered Tortas for the last 20 years from Tortas Boos Voni and have seen the change in ownership and quality of food. The food was insanely delicious and at an affordable price. Fast forward to now, the quality of the tortas has dropped significantly. I don't know if the recipes were changed, but the tortas do not taste the same and lack flavor. The cubana torta and milanesa de pollo were my favorite and filled with SO much flavor. I understand why prices were raised due to the current times, but I've tried it several times over the last year hoping it would get better and I'm sorry to say the food is not the same or worth the price anymore.

The Tortas were extremely filling and huge in size. I got a Cubana with 6 different meats. Couldn't even finish the whole thing. So many different flavors crammed into one torta. Only one half cut of hotdog and barely saw any ham inside but it did have the steak and chicken in abundance inside. Couldn't finish it anyways so no big deal. The meat and sandwich was a little dry but still good. I will eat here again next time I will try the breakfast Tortas or the individual meat ones to find out which meat is the best.

This torteria is hella underrated! They are hella good! We got one torta cubana (btw it's impossible to eat one unless you have a big appetite). We also got a torta de pierna equally big and delicious. If you are a first timer, definitely get the torta cubana it won't disappoint! The service was good and there is seating inside the place. The order time was quick. Please try them, they are delicious and worth your money.
