As I was saying this is my go to place for sushi!Nice indoor mod deco look is kool. The staff are very pro and polite. The food is tasty and plentiful any which way you choose. I usually go for the 3 choice bento box which includes some miso soup ,a tempura shrimp roll; yummers!They have happy hour manhattan's and other choices. Go there or be SQUARE !

Took my god daughter out on a date night and we had to go here because she loves sushi. And it did not disappoint. The place was lightly packed so we got to sit at the bar and watch the sushi chefs make the rolls which was really cool. The servers were prompt and got us our drinks and menus quickly. I ordered the 2 item bento box and dragon roll, and she got 2 rolls, rock n roll and the Alaska roll. The katsu was delicious and freshly fried. And they gave A LOT of tempura which was great! She loved her two rolls and scarfed it down fast. Definitely coming back or ordering to go from here.

Seems like the pick up experience varies among different reviews.I ordered my food via uber eats for pick up at around 11:50 AM on a Monday morning. I was quoted that my order would be ready for pick up at 12:30 for ONE bento. I arrived at 12:15 and was ignored along with other patrons awaiting their to go orders. 12:33 and no acknowledgment from any of the staff. I finally got my order around 12:40 after I inquired and they brought out the bento from the kitchen and returned to the office and sat down to eat my bento at 12:50. I was disappointed and didn't finish my bento due to concerns of different food items varying in temperature. While the remainder of the food was hot the miso soup was COLD (not even lukewarm) and the karaage was soggy and room temp. The tempura, rice and salmon were hot. I waited nearly 50 minutes for my food and I was physically present in the restaurant so I know it wasn't just sitting on the counter waiting to be picked up because I was standing next to the table where they set all the to go orders for pick up. This could potentially be a food safety concern for some folks so I just wanted to share my experience. It seems like other reviews have aligned with my experience so use your best judgment and if in doubt - throw it out.

I was just at this location and walked in to there being plenty of open tables while not even being acknowledged by any of the staff who keep looking at me. So I decide to put my name on the clipboard that's sitting right there and sit down on the bench for about five minutes and still no acknowledgment from somebody standing even 5 feet away from me. As somebody who works in the service industry, even something like the basics of acknowledging the customer that was walking in is completely being ignored is absolutely ridiculous.

Very glad I went here! I was craving bento and a dragon roll and decided to try out this place. Service was good, no complaints. We got lucky and were seated right away on a Friday night.The dragon roll (4/5) was good, I just wish I got more avocado. The bento (5/5) is soooo worth it. The shrimp tempura had so much breading but I actually liked that lol. The chicken katsu tasted great especially with the katsu sauce. Chicken teriyaki is how you'd expect. Honestly no complaints about this place at all. I was very satisfied with everything!

Came here for lunch with my mom. We both decided to eat the bentos. She got the pork tonkatsu, vegetable tempura and California roll. They are very generous with portions but I don't know about the rice. The rice felt old or over cooked. Honestly we ended up not finishing it. I order the chicken karaagge and California rolls. The chicken was crispy but I don't know if it's the oil quality or how they fried it made me feel sick. I've eaten karrage in other places but this was the first time I felt bad. Food is affordable but I think I'll stick to other places. We also ordered a roll to share. I felt flavor were lacking but I think the rice played a big roll in why we didn't enjoy it at much. Service was ok.

Stopped by with my family for lunch. They have pretty good lunch deals. We came in at about 2:30 on a Saturday afternoon and the place was packed. The three of us sat at the sushi bar. Getting table had a wait. I got the chirashi. It was great. The fish were very fresh. My son got the unagi don. They were very generous with the serving of unagi. We both got miso soup and salad. Both were fine. My wife got a miso ramen soup. She liked hers and it was a large bowl. Quick service. Tokyo sushi is a great choice for Japanese food in South San Francisco

Service was really nice. Went with a big party, but we were able to get sat down fairly efficiently. The food is good, can't really complain at all. Definitely recommend the Giant Toro, Lion King, and Super Dynamite.
