A very pleasant retail wine shop with a broad and fairly priced international selection along with good domestic producers. David, Peter, Anya and Chris are reliably friendly and ready to offer suggestions. Periodic sales, announced in emails, include opportunities to taste a notch above one's price point. Still my favorite wine store after 15+ years.

Wine House is a spacious, un-intimidating wine space. The first time I visited, I was greeted immediately and felt welcome. I asked the employee what they recommended based on my love of Larmandier-Bernier, and they conceded they didn't currently have it, but they asked what I liked about it, and what budget I was comfortable with. I gave them my parameters, and they recommended a blanc de blanc that I really enjoyed, and they unpretentiously shared information with me about the champagne. They have a mailing list you can subscribe to in store or online, and be sure to do it! They make sure to only mail you news about the types of grapes/regions you choose.I am always happy to open their emails b/c they are purposeful and infrequent. They always offer a special on a dozen wines, so I finally decided to take them up on it. I submitted my order online and during COVID, they operate with curbside pickup.After I submitted my order, I emailed asking for the weight of the dozen b/c I was planning to walk back w/my dozen. David very quickly replied with a kind recommendation based on the distance and weight he estimated. I arrived with a 60L backpack in tow, I gave them a call that I was outside, and they safely placed my dozen outside and patiently waited while I packed to confirm that I was able to transport everything myself. They also include a description of each wine w/the dozen purchase including pairings. The dozen is a GREAT deal b/c it averages to about $10 a bottle for quality wines that I will certainly be buying again.

Loved Wine House! I was early for an aerial silks class in the dogpatch and was driving around and happened to see this place and pop in. People were super friendly and helpful, they had an amazing selection of wines and I felt like I had taken a trip to a winery in the 15 minutes I was there. Will definitely be back!

The Wine House has been my go-to for wine during the pandemic. So easy to place an order online for curbside pick-up and plenty of different wines to choose from for every budget.

These folks are great - really friendly, knowledgable and dedicated to finding wine for me based on what I like and what I'm looking for. They have wine from all over the world and seem to specialize in importing as well as having wine from the US. VERY REASONABLY PRICED, especially given the quality of the wines along with the expert and very personal service they provide.

The Wine House has an extensive selection of wine online and in store. Their sales on wine are a great deal. What makes this place even better is their customer service and kind faces that always greet you and help if needed.

This is such a neat little wine store in the Portrero area. This was completely on a whim that we stopped in. Great prices, and a group of people ready to help at the drop of a hat. I would say stop in and say hi, because you might just get a personal wine consultant the staff is so nice.

This place is my go to supply shop anytime I'm in town. Very friendly staff that can dial you in on some really great and unique picks. Just tell them what you'd like to spend and a little bit about what your preferences, and you'll walk out with some interesting and delicious wines. There is something available at every price point, which is lovely. They even special ordered a delicious Pinot Noir for me and emailed me when it was available for pick up. Easy parking in an industrial area of Dogpatch.

Wonderful wine store. Classic French connections, including bubblies. Don't get over to The Wine House nearly enough and working on that...

I'd never heard of this wine store (despite that it's been here for over 40 years, me for over 30, and I'm a prodigious wine buyer) until I stumbled upon them having the second best price in the country for the '16 Beausejour. On looking at their website, I noticed that I was even more lucky in that they were having a sale, and I was able to pick a very well priced '16 Pape Clement. The store is immaculate and well-organized, and the person who helped me was courteous and knowledgeable. Their concentration seems to be Bordeaux, and mine is more Napa and Tuscany, but I'll definitely be looking to funnel some of the business I've been giving to K&L to them when I can. Highly recommended.
