12/7It's the time of year for anything and everything festive. The holidays are not just about gift giving, but it is also the time of year to spend it with your loved ones. Where: The Vault and The Vault Garden can be found at the Bank of America building on Kearny and Pine streets. While not exactly inside the building itself, The Vault Garden is located on the exterior of the building while the main restaurant, The Vault is located inside the concourse level. When: The Vault Garden is a casual spot for happy hour and shareable bites. Usually not open during the weekend, this holiday season, dubbed as Winter Wonderland, lunch and holiday themed cocktails can be enjoyed here. Reservations are recommended. We came here looking for some festive holiday vibes. What: while not overly dressed or indulged with Christmas cheer, The Vault Garden's Winter Wonderland manages to pull off some holiday cheer with eye catching drinks. What we shared: Creamed corn: this was not just any creamed corn, but that the toppings were pop corn and bread crumbs for a nice crunch. This was surprisingly good. Truffle Mac & Cheese: pasta shells tossed in cheesy truffle sauce - I could have easily ordered a second of this and called it a meal. Delicious.Truffle Fries: pillowy interior and crisp exterior coated in a truffle oil. The perfect amount of salt for this fried bite. Parker House rolls: hot and fresh springy buns paired with a salty whipped butter. These were a table favorite with a second heaping ordered. Beef Bolognese: pasta cooked andante served with burrata cheese. This was good overall, but that I liked the truffle mac and cheese more. Short Ribs: slow braised and served with sweet potatoes. Ginger and soy were the prominent flavors, leaning more with an Asian twist. Super tender and yummy. Beignets: these French doughnuts were not only light but also the perfect small sweet treat. What we drank: we tried majority of the Christmas aesthetic based drinks which included all the spices and props. Each drink is titled after the verses of a Christmas song. We were so glad to have enjoyed some festive drinks. How: our server was such a sweet heart and made our lunch even more festive by providing some gingerbread men and women props. We all enjoyed our meal here and will happily return.

I had a wonderful dining experience at this steakhouse to celebrate my husband birthday! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was absolutely beautiful--elegant yet cozy, setting the perfect mood for a great meal. Laurie, our server, was exceptional. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening.I started with the broccoli chowder, and let me tell you--it was absolutely delicious! Creamy, flavorful, and comforting. The house rolls were also a standout--warm, soft, and paired perfectly with the chowder. The steak itself was cooked to as requested, juicy and tender, just as I had the birthday man had hoped. However, the experience was marred slightly when, during our meal, a rat unexpectedly ran across the dining area. It was quite an alarming sight, and while it didn't seem to affect the overall vibe much, it did cause a bit of discomfort. At this point I was ready to leave. Despite this, the overall quality of the food, the impeccable service from Laurie, and the cozy ambiance still made for a great evening. I would definitely come back, but I will opt in to sit inside of the actual restaurant in place of the garden.

Came here in December of 2024 for our holiday work dinner and what a beautiful spot! There were heaters outside, staff was friendly and our food was tasty! My boyfriend and I each got the prime rib which was huge! We definitely had leftovers which I used to make fried rice haha A coworker of mine got the grilled salmon. Would definitely come back here!

This review is for the Vault Steakhouse, not the Garden. Really a nice setting and surroundings. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Tater tot appetizer was recommended so we ordered. It was honestly a little weird ( who has had tater tots with caviar) but OK. The crab dip was pretty good. Party ordered 4 filets and 2 salmon. Sides of mashed potatoes, creamed spinach and mushrooms. Mushrooms were great. Spinach pretty good. Mashed potatoes are not my thing. Issue was that I ordered my filet rare and what I was served was more like medium to medium well. When the server asked how our food was, she did not wait for my practiced reply. I left the meat cut open and visible but she did not return ( and honestly since I had just flown in from the east coast I was starving). I surreptitiously viewed the other steaks at the table and observed that they were all pinker than mine. (Everyone else had ordered MR or M). I think they mixed up 2 of our filets. Honestly it was still very good, just a bit dry for my taste. Beignets for dessert were the best I've had outside New Orleans. Hugh marks overall except for my steak.

Beautiful garden setting with heat lamps to keep you warm. Despite their kitchen being a block away, food didn't take too long to arrive and came out hot. The service was friendly and inviting. The shared appetizers were the stars of the show and cocktails. Our main entrees were just ok.

Loved the location, food and service. Did not love the seating and ambiance. I will say that it was acceptable just not my favorite vibe for an outdoor only space. Next time I will go inside to the Vault stake house! The food was just delicious, I was pleasantly surprised. All the items we ordered were about a 4-4.5/ 5! I will recommend this sophisticated, yet pedestrian restaurant to folks! Give it a try and see the food was pretty yummy.

Saturday night surrounded by Christmas vibes and decorations. I really liked the decorations, very European style. I went with my husband, 2years daughter and two friends. Even though they don't have the kid menu, we asked for and they made an hamburger for my daughter (it was a very kind gesture). We had some Christmas drink (good and funny), hamburger, the house roll, and the corn risotto. Every was pretty good, a little bit expensive compared to other places but it was fine with us. The service was fine too.
